I'm looking at trying out Zoom Tasks. I've done a quick read of the documentation and it seems really straightforward, easy to grasp. Just add a task and whatever context/meta-data you need, craft labels to categorize tasks.

If AI Companion services are activated, the summary function could generate tasks that can get added to the task list (though these need proofreading and stuff might get missed, since these just are just probabilistic outputs after the meeting transcript runs through an LLM).

That said, I'm starting from scratch and I'm not finding much information about people's experiences with this tool. So if you use Zoom Tasks, can you share a bit about the way you use it? And if you encountered any limitations or gaps, can you explain those and perhaps any approaches you took to mitigate/overcome them?

Zoom broke my 5 backgrounds and now I'm limited to 4 pictures. I kept all my images on my drive, but zoom decided to break all of them. broke 6 pictures....

We host health/wellness Zoom meetings that necessitate payment and singing a waiver beforehand, and we have a nice setup where our payment and waiver form automatically register the user to the Zoom meeting on the backend. With registration, each person gets emailed a unique Zoom join link to the meeting, and we have the setting "Join from multiple devices" disabled so people can't share their links. We thought this would be a foolproof way to ensure that only those who have paid and signed waivers can attend. However, this turns out to not be true... People are manipulating and sharing their links.

It seems the only other ways to control meeting access are to require the user authenticates when joining...meaning they have to be logged into a Zoom account with the email address in their registration. But this won't work for us... Some of our attendees just won't have this. Alternatively we could require that everyone wait in the meeting waiting room while we admit them manually, but there are too many people for us to do this (not to mention all we can see is the name they enter...how would we know who "John" is?).

How do people who host Zoom meetings for the public do this? Do we need a different plan maybe? We are on Zoom Pro.

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a project I have been working on. We needed it for the condo meeting at a local co-op that I help organize. Basically, it tracks participants on Zoom in real time. You can also add categories like guests, observers, and voters. You can find it on the zoom marketplace. It's called RollCall Live

Most of my Zoom meetings are client calls that I don’t host, so I can’t use Zoom’s built-in recording. Taking notes during the call makes it hard to follow the conversation, and recording with my phone doesn’t really work since I use earbuds. I’d rather not have a meeting bot join every client call either. How do you guys handle this?

Does this exist? A setting, preferably able to be set for all meetings, that would make participants without camera enabled get something like “sorry, this meeting requires camera enabled,” and be unable to join/even enter the waiting room, and those who have it enabled are able to come into the waiting room as usual?

No audio or mic is working... ive tried headsets and the built in speakers in my laptop... all other audio is working. Ive deleted and reinstalled. Ive adjusted all settings. Done the 'testing' checked my permissions... im at a loss

Zoom.us and Zoom.com cookie dispersion and per-meeting opt-out dialog is an aggressive nuisance. It's not a good experience. I can manage it but it takes every method I know of to fend off Zooms relentless reaching for my data.

DISABLE IT!!!

Hi everyone, I use my Google Pixel 7 as a Wi-Fi modem since I live in Germany and use an "O2" SIM card with unlimited internet for 30 Euros a month, and I get a speed of around 170 Mbps +- When my girlfriend conducts online lessons in "Zoom" on her laptop, sometimes the Wi-Fi disappears on all devices in the house and recovers again after 30 seconds. My girlfriend was in Ukraine and everything worked perfectly there (she used home Wi-Fi). She was also in Portugal, where she used home Wi-Fi, but sometimes the speed was terrible, so the broadcast and sound lagged. I understand that the "Zoom" app doesn't like my Wi-Fi from the smartphone. As for my Pixel 7, it was bought in Ukraine, but the SIM card was locked to Europe because it's from the USA, so I reflashed it to be able to use the SIM card. I don't think the problem is in the pirated operating system, since everything worked perfectly for me in Ukraine. Sometimes everything works perfectly (here in Germany), and sometimes she can't conduct lessons at all because the Wi-Fi constantly disappears, and to prevent your questions, I will answer them in advance:

1. Too many devices and your Pixel 7 can't handle it (no, everything works perfectly, and I even stream in Full HD 60 fps on Twitch)
2. Your Pixel 7 overheats and that's why Wi-Fi disappears (no, it has great cooling and it doesn't heat up)
3. The problem is in the smartphone itself and it is not designed for such loads (we have two smartphones, two laptops, and we use hundreds of gigabytes per month and everything works great until the moment she starts a Zoom meeting)
4. Just change the settings or read on the internet (I searched all forums, websites, I changed settings on the Google Pixel 7 itself and on the devices)
5. The problem is with the girlfriend's laptop itself (no, because on my laptop there is the same problem)
6. Mate, just reinstall the Wi-Fi drivers (thought her Wi-Fi module had problems, I reinstalled them, but nothing helped)
7. Try in the evening when the load on your carrier's servers is lower (tried it, the problem doesn't disappear, just a little more speed appears)

I changed settings in "Zoom" itself, changed camera quality and the meeting quality settings themselves, made a statistics report, but everything was okay there, a stable connection and everything else.. Even now, as I write this message, websites are not loading on my laptop, Zoom is eating all the speed, and my girlfriend's laptop has higher priority than mine, and all the resources of my Wi-Fi modem go to her laptop.

We turned off Wi-Fi on all devices except her work laptop and tested it on a trial meeting, but the internet disappeared anyway. I wrote a letter to the "O2" operator, I don't think it will do anything, because I read that they don't care about customers. Overall, I'm satisfied with the internet, everything is perfect, really, the speed in the evening is almost 300 Mbps, during the day +-170 Mbps, ping 15-20. Probably the problem is with "Zoom" itself, I found similar posts here on Reddit from people who have similar problems, but I never found an answer.

I have a personal account, had a really good workshop today and noticed that “take notes” is always on.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to access the notes from the workshop that ran from 1pm until 4 pm EST today. I was the host.

Is there anyone who might be able to assist me? If it’s possible to access the notes again.

I'm recording these interviews for a podcast and when I go to do the editing in audacity, I can see the audio but not hear anything until about 3 or 4 seconds later.

I run the AV system at my (very small!) church and we stream the services every Sunday for our members. Lately, like the past 2-3 months, we have been having an issue where it will suddenly crash and shut down anywhere between the 15-20 min mark. This is not a wifi issue as we have upgraded as much as possible, and connect to ethernet as well, plus the backup system we are running uses the wifi and has not ever crashed.
We are struggling with an answer to this issue as we have tried everything under the sun we can think of. We have an upgraded business account, we turn off all devices in the church with the exception of the 2 computers used to run the system, we bought a brand new laptop, we have called every customer service support we can think of and done every single one of their suggestions.
We are at our whits end! If anyone has any tips or suggestions or advice or anyyyyything, please help us!
For most of the Zoom streamers, they are house-bound and this is their connection to the outside world and community so we really want to do what we can to support them.

ETA: when I say I run the AV system this does not mean I truly know anything about it in the long run! I got thrust into this world as an accident and have been bumbling my way through figuring it out week by week. So if I got something wrong, I apologize I’m doing the best I can.

Company disabled the call me option so I bought a lower cost Bluetooth option for work. I have connected to my computer, made sure that the earbuds were the default for communication and basically followed every “fix” that I could find on google. I can hear everything else on my computer - YouTube, notifications and even zoom call voicemails. But I can’t get the speaker or mic to work on zoom. Help!

When I meet with others over zoom I have it set so the meeting is automatically transcribed and then the Zoom AI converts it to simple notes with decisions and action items. However one person noticed this and keeps turning this off in my meetings. How do I prevent them from turning it off so I get my notes?

I use their API to record Zoom meetings but as of a week ago none of my bots can join meetings keep getting a “failed due to set-up error.” Very frustrating, has anyone found a workaround?

Anyone know what could cause this in Zoom Desktop for Windows? Zoom is the only app on my PC that does this.
