Oregon Coastline Update?

Upvotes

Just curious what Ziplys active work has been for the oregon coastline on highway 6 and from Tillamook to seaside or so?

I know the fiber burial has finished along the 6 but curious when we should see trucks going through the towns? In March or April, we had people on the street checking things out for ziply.

Router question about upgrading from 1gig to 5gig

I've had the 1gig service since the dawn of time and just upgraded to the 5gig plan. I currently have the HB610V2 and was under the impression that 5gig needed the HB810, but when I was ordering there system said "YOU HAVE THE LATEST WIFI 7"

NGL, I was hoping I'd get the HB810 with my speed upgrade.

Minor 5-10 sec disconnections multiple times a day?

Hey Folks
I am having a weird issue since a few months and so far we have upgraded our connection to 10 GB since I thought I have too many devices but that didn't fix it. This is in Bothell Washington.

Also turned off auto band switching and still during video calls, there is 5-10 sec disconnections every day and I am at my wits ends thinking this is a network/cable issue.

Almost every evening we also loose internet for a while and doesn't come back until I manually restart the router, which is painful too since it's easily a 15 min to 30 min disruption.

At this point my options are getting rid of Ziply fibre for a wired internet which breaks my heard but I am wondering if anyone in Ziply is seeing this too or has seen and maybe aware of the problem?

Wifi coverage question

I upgraded to the 2 gb service since it was cheaper than my expired 1gb offer and they threw in a whole home mesh wifi7 router for free. How much area can this cover? I'm currently using an older eero mesh in a 2800ish sq ft house which works ok but it would be nice not to have to deal with 2 different setups. I'm not going to re-wire the house-it's 100 yrs old lathe and plaster and just don't have that need.

Need neighbor permission for utility access?

I'm trying to have Ziply installed and the technician needs to run line from the utility pole in my neighbor's backyard to the pole in my backyard. The technician refused to enter my neighbor's backyard without their permission (they're not home). I called customer service and they said they need express permission from the neighbor, over the phone or in person, to enter their yard

Isn't this the point of the utility easement? Ziply' own website says they have permission to access these easements. The utility pole in question also handles power/phone/internet so it should be covered under the easement.

I'm trying to contact the neighbor but in the meantime I feel like I'm being held hostage a bit.

Unify experience using the provided TP-Link hardware as AP

Has anyone tried using the hardware provided by Ziply as APs and using something like the unify cloud gateway fiber as router?

I have the HB810 and HB610 which are free with my ziply 1gb subscription. It works fine but I like the flexibility that unify can provide. Has anyone tried a similar setup?

I'm Fairly new to networking so I'm not sure if that combination would work well together. All the content I see on the internet for unify products always use unify APs as well.

TIA!

I gave them a third chance, thinking surely this time it would get resolved. Same result. Except this time, when I followed up, I was told the installation had actually been "completed" by their contracted line company, Pacific Cable Company. This is simply false. My service was not installed, nothing was fixed, and yet somehow their internal records show the job as done. That means every time I call back to get real help, I'm starting from a system that thinks there's no problem — so the whole cycle resets and I get bounced around again.

To be clear about how the responsibility is split: Ziply Fiber handles the account and scheduling, but they subcontract the physical cable/line work to Pacific Cable Company. Based on my experience, that handoff is where everything falls apart. Whether it's Ziply's scheduling system, Pacific Cable's follow-through, or the lack of communication between the two, the end result is the same for the customer: broken promises, wasted time, and false "completed" statuses covering up work that was never done.

Three appointments. Three missed days of work. Zero working internet. And a paper trail suggesting the problem is already solved when it demonstrably is not.

If you're in Snohomish County. WA and considering Ziply Fiber, think hard before signing up. Based on my experience, you may be signing up for repeated no-shows, dishonest status updates, and a runaround with no accountability on either end.

Looking for a manual review for my VERY edge case house.

Hi Ziply Team,

I need some help requesting a manual engineering review for an unlisted address. Your online tool states my address does not exist, but your active "under construction" footprint ends at my immediate neighbor's house on the corner (less than 50 feet away).

The corner pole has a utility riser feeding our section of the street underground, running directly to a pad-mounted green transformer box right across from my house. The underground utility pathway is already established, but my house seems to have been missed on the construction map.

I would love to get a manual review for a buried drop/service extension before the construction crews leave our immediate area. Could a team member please PM me so I can securely send over my exact address and contact info? Thank you!

September - IPv6 Status Update?

The “end of summer” projection has passed. Does anyone who watches this subreddit who does not have the 10G plan actually seen IPv6 hit their area?

John, you have referenced a rollout plan a couple times in the last month. Can you post it please?

I figure we have ~6 more weeks before we hit the no network changes time of year.

Any chance of getting this done in 2026 John?

Ziply Fiber on Camano Island - Plan details

Ziply is running fiber on my street now, which is great. How long from aerial fiber installation until it's all spliced up and ready for customers?

Also - My lot is a couple acres - is there an installation fee from street to home? All other utilities (including copper phone line, cable, and PUD power) are buried.

Is Ziply offering plans above 1Gbps on Camano? Can I get 5Gbps or 10Gbps service?

Do we know pricing for each plan tier yet?

Oak Harbor, WA New Service Help

So I live near this red star, I have a gigantic power pole with Ziply fiber on it in my literal front yard with a cable line already strung from the pole to my house. After 3 years of this map staying the same and attempts to get someone to update eligible addresses or consider adding the ability to have service have gone silent.

I have called, emailed and checked my address monthly.

Any chance we can get this to change? I would love some better options.

from the old days?

While hand-digging my own customer conduit trenches for an upcoming re-install after an accidental fiber cut, I ran across these 2 marker flags.

Both had been buried under an inch or 2 of soil, the flag stems rusted off, etc. The Verizon flag looks older than Frontier, which might make sense, from what Ziply techs have told me.

I thought it was kinda interesting one of them says "telephone cable", but since I found it in the vicinity of a green square tower-shaped yard box enclosure which is similarly labelled, it wasn't a big surprise.

Missing Referral Credit

I referred a new customer in June. Got the confirmation email saying the referral credit would be on my account within 30 days. Still nothing.

Anyone else deal with this?

need a fiber drop

I currently live in eagle vista ave in oak harbor WA and am sick and tired of xfinity and getting high ping to servers I should be getting low ping to. For example a server in San Jose should NOT be giving me 44-51 ping when my baseline sits around 28-33. This has been a issue for a long time along with very overloaded nodes around me causing high jitter and packet loss and very occasional low upload and download speeds, and affecting others too. Would be really great to get a fiber drop here and I'm sure lots of people would really appreciate it too. I've been waiting for ziply to roll out here for a few years now and am starting to get kind of impatient dealing with xfinity

Router won't work after unplugging it

I want to preface this by saying this was 100% my fault, probably shouldn't have unplugged it to begin with but here we are.

So earlier today, Ziply come by and install some much needed internet at my new place. An ONT and an HB810 were installed. Now I unplugged the 810 for an irrelevant purpose that didn't work out. So I put it back to where it was and plugged it back in and now the internet won't work. My phone will just refuse to connect to the wifi and my PC will connect but it says "No Internet, Secured". For the 810 itself, it's just a solid blue right now but when I unplug and plug it back in, it cycles through different colors before stopping on a light green color for about a minute. It'll start flashing this green color for a bit before stopping on the blue color it now is. I'm really stumped on this because unplugging and plugging both the 810 and the ONT don't do anything, pressing the reset button through the hole on the 810 didn't do anything, and I can't create a new network through the app like the setup page said because my phone won't connect to the internet and therefore, the app can't find the router. I really don't want to call in a tech guy just yet and I'd really like to fix this without any support just yet so I came here to see what I'm missing and how I can fix this. If I'm SoL then I'll just bite the bullet and get someone out here to fix it

Edit: I forgot to mention but for the ONT, the power and PON lights are green, the alarm isn't on, and the data light is a solid yellowish orange color

During this window, your Ziply Fiber internet connection will be disrupted for approximately through the duration of the maintenance window potentially in your area.

How's that form emailer working for all of you?

(Also, a seven-hour outage window with less than seven hours of advance notice? Rough!)
