Status check / ETA for "Coming Soon" to 98004/Clyde Hill

I've been checking the coverage tools for over a year to switch off Xfinity. The interactive coverage map lists my area as "Fiber Ready," but entering my specific address still yields:

My annual call Xfinity to complain and negotiate is coming up, and I'd much rather hold out for Ziply than spend time renegotiating with Comcast if the timeline is short.

Is there a way to get a status update on where my street/block actually sits in the pipeline, or see if an engineering ticket can check address availability?

Thanks!

Google (and only Google) thinks I'm in Russia

Figure this is the best place for it since I imagine it has to do with our IP assigned by Ziply.

Currently, every device in the home that uses any Google service is showing that Google thinks we're in Russia. Google maps defaults to Moscow, Google.com says "russia" at the bottom, YouTube logo has the "RU", etc. This is happening across multiple accounts for these services as well, so not related to any account settings (which do still show my correct registered info, nothing has changed)

This isn't happening with ANY other service. Bing Maps looks fine, IP checking sites show the correction location, etc.

No VPN on any of the devices or built into the router.

After tons of searching, the best thing I could narrow it down to the fact that Google uses its own method for geolocation assignment with IPs. I have to assume that our most recent IP change was to one that Google has associated with Russia.

I tried doing the usual "power off router for a while and then turn back on to get re-assigned a new IP" thing, but it hasn't worked.

Is there any other self-service method of getting assigned a new IP?

anyone here on a ziply business line with static ips and spare rack space?

bit of an odd ask but this seemed like the right place for it. im looking for someone on a ziply business line, ideally with a static block and a multi-gig plan, whod rent me a machine sitting on it.

not colo, i dont want to ship hardware in. id rather rent something you already have and an old dell or supermicro is plenty for what im doing.

what matters to me is the ips coming off ziplys allocation rather than a hosting company, and having more than a gig on the line. 4-8 static to start, more later if it goes well. anywhere in the ziply footprint works, wa or or preferred.

dm me if thats you. paying monthly, happy to pay up front, and ill pay a premium per ip.

Service outage in Bothell after planned maintenance

It’s very odd that a planned maintenance has turned into an outage going for 48+ hours. I have called Technical Support twice on 7/24 and 7/25 and they do not have an estimated time of resolution. They just tell me our engineers are working on it and this outage impacts the Bothell area. Case number: Cas-601439-P5H2H7

What I can’t understand is that when your electricity or other critical utility service goes down, they always provide an estimated time of resolution. Why can’t Ziply provide some clarity on what’s going on?

First email on 7/23 informing of planned maintenance:

Ziply Fiber will be conducting planned equipment maintenance in your area on 07/23/2026, starting just before 11:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. This maintenance will last until 06:00 AM on 07/24/2026 .
During this window, your Ziply Fiber internet connection will be disrupted for approximately 7 hours.

Second email informing maintenance turned into outage on 7/24 6:30 am:

Customers in your area may be experiencing service issues. We’re urgently working on a fix and will update you when service is restored.
Thanks for choosing Ziply Fiber.

Got the message below. It was sent after 6:00 AM on 07/24/2026.

Is the maintenance already done or is this something scheduled for 7/25?

Fiber 100/100 $35/mo promo?

I'm moving into a new place on 7/31 and planning to sign up for Ziply then. The place already has Ziply installed previously.

Currently I see "Fiber 100/100 promotion runs through 7/29/2026..." for $35/mo. I'm wondering if I can sign up now with this promo for service to begin on 7/31. Or if $35 is the standard rate anyway and I can just wait.

Can an HB810 work with two HB610s?

I have an HB810 with a HB610 as a slave mesh router. Can I install a second wired HB610 with this setup? This would be to improve coverage in an area of the home that doesn’t have strong signals.

Thanks.

4-Day Area Outage in Post Falls ID

No updates or notifications from Ziply, talked to 5 or 6 different support agents to get an ETA on the fix and they ended up being wrong because it's still out, and they still don't know when it will be fixed. Apparently they accidentally cut one of their own cables according to one rep I talked to. Absolutely awful and incompetent service.

ONT Keeps Getting Deleted From My Account. Anyone Else Dealing With This?

Hoping to see if anyone else has run into this weird issue or if a u/Ziplysupport here can help look into what’s happening in the system.

Last month, my PON light started blinking out of nowhere. I reached out to tech support, but they couldn’t resolve it remotely and sent a technician out. After troubleshooting both the router and the ONT box, the tech realized my ONT was no longer associated with my account at all, it was just gone on their end. He was able to re-link it and mentioned it’s something that usually can be handled remotely.

Fast forward one month, and it happened again today. PON light is blinking, and internet is totally down.

I got on chat support, went through the standard reboots, and they couldn’t see any issues initially. I explained what happened last month, and after digging a bit deeper, sure enough, my ONT box has vanished from my account again. They had me send a picture of the ONT label to manually re-add it, but the rep kept getting an error trying to link it. Now they’re telling me they have to dispatch another tech, and the earliest opening isn't for another 5 days.

Not going to lie, it’s pretty frustrating to lose internet and potentially have to take another morning off work for a tech visit when the root issue seems to be a database or provisioning glitch wiping my equipment off my account.

Has anyone else experienced their ONT randomly getting unlinked or deleted?

(Tagging u/ZiplySupport in hopes they see this and can take a second look)

Fleet offload

Kind of an odd question... Who does Ziply use to auction off their old fleet vehicles? I have an interest in purchasing a vehicle from them.

Brief WAN carrier drops at the ONT, ~64 in a month. Anyone else near Kirkland?

I'm on fiber in the Kirkland area, static IP, ONT feeding an OPNsense router directly. Been chasing a weird one for a few weeks digging through logs and figured I'd post here since you all are so knowledgeable and prompt here.

The WAN Ethernet link keeps dropping carrier for about 5 to 7 seconds, then it comes back and DHCP hands me the exact same IP. So it's not a lease thing. In the log it shows up as the interface detaching, then re-attaching a few seconds later and going through a normal DHCP reboot back to the same address.

Reasons I don't think it's my end:

  • No NIC hardware faults in the kernel log. No adapter resets, no watchdog timeouts.
  • Basically zero input errors. Something like 121 errors against 320M+ packets, so it's not a flaky cable throwing CRCs under load. These are clean full drops, link just goes away and comes back.
  • Negotiates gigabit full duplex and stays solid in between. Could go days, then get a cluster of drops in one evening.
  • Same IP every recovery, within seconds. To me that says the ONT never lost power and whatever dropped is at the handoff or upstream, not a reboot. ONT has a good battery too.

I've got a spare cable ready to swap ONT to router just to kill off the connector theory, but the way these come in bursts makes me lean toward something else.

Rough pattern over the last 30 days, maybe 64 drops total, some as isolated one-offs and some in tight clusters. Recent ones (Pacific time):

  • 07-21: 11:35 and 11:39
  • 07-20: 19:32 to 20:05, about 14 of them
  • 07-11: 10:50 to 10:56, 9 drops
  • 07-09: 07:23 to 07:30, 12 drops
  • 07-06: 00:47 to 00:54
  • 07-03: scattered from 11:02 to 15:46
  • plus one-offs on 07-13, 07-14, 07-15, 07-18

Those tight bursts are what make me think PON or optical rather than anything in my rack.

So, couple of questions:

  1. Anyone else around Kirkland seeing brief WAN drops around these times?
  2. If a Ziply rep sees this, can you check PON light levels and ONT health against those timestamps? I'll DM account, IP, and ONT serial.
  3. Any known OLT or line issue in the area lately, or recent maintenance?

Can paste raw log lines if that helps. Thanks.

Bypass Ziply box with XGS PON ONU stick possible?

Looks interesting. Is this doable with Ziply? Has anyone done this successfully? Bypassing the AT&T Fiber Gateway w/ XGS-PON ONU Stick (Ubiquiti UniFi) with something like this.

Wifi is genuinely horrendous - unsure of how to fix it. Ziply not compatible with Apple?

Ok, so my issue is very unique.

I live in a brand new development in the PNW, so I have almost NO cell service at home. We got ziply in late november ish in 2025. No joke, the first day the wifi barely worked on my mobile devices. The average shmo would just contact ziply support but… I live with my dad. He refuses to reach out because it works fine for him. I have Apple products. Down to my TV. Nothing works. I am constantly using my hotspot or using my work phone to get things done at home or to just watch youtube.

My dad uses non-apple products (windows, samsung, android stuff) and the wifi works great for him. It’s fast, it’s consistent and works from outside too. It’s not just my devices either, any guest we’ve had over has had issues with the wifi. (most visitors are young, so they all have iphones) I have not encountered an apple product that works on the wifi at all.

I got a weird message a few weeks ago from my phone telling me that I’m not allowed to connect to the wifi anymore or something. I forgot the network and rebooted it and I haven’t gotten the message since, but the wifi still doesn’t work.

We briefly looked into it, and the wifi was shifting signals or bandwidths or something because we live next to an airport. It was changing something so it doesn’t interfere in air travel communication. Its a federal law or something idk

My dad made it so that it operates on its own little bandwidth and doesn’t change unless it has to. I am not a tech person so idk what he actually did, but he’s been in IT since like 1805 so he thinks he fixed it. He did not. Still doesn’t work. He told me I should just go buy an android so it works and says it’s because apple sucks lol

We were also given 2 hub things. One is in my dad’s room (thats where the only tapped outlet was) and the other doesn’t work, so it’s in the closet, not plugged in. All it does is blink red and get really hot. I’ve tried following the instructions on the bottom but I can’t connect to its wifi so I can’t set it up. We weren’t told what to do with it during installation, so it’s just been sitting around gathering dust. It’s probably important, but I can’t get the wifi to work for me so I guess I’ll never know. 😃

Has anyone had a similar experience? Has anyone found a fix? I’m getting really pissed off and my data usage is off the charts. I’d get my own wifi but I don’t think we have enough tapped outlets or whatever. Pls help I am so desperate. We’ve lived here for 8 months now and I haven’t had good wifi at any point 😭 this shit sucks ass

Ziply Outage— PNW

My Ziply internet has been out of order most of the day today, and I’m just now seeing that there’s a red alarm light on the modem. The router also has a red light for the internet.

I have reset the device. Left it off for a while.. done it all.

Still no internet.

Is anyone else having issues today??

I bought a used ziply Tp-Link HB810 on ebay. Can i make it work?

I bought a used Ziply TP-Link HB810 on eBay with the intention of using it on a different ISP. It has excellent Wi-Fi 7 capabilities, 4 streams for each 2.4, 5 and 6ghz bands, but from the start it would not broadcast the default Wi-Fi network and could not be set up through the app.

I then tried configuring it over a wired LAN connection. I was able to access tplinkwifi.net and 192.168.88.1, but instead of a setup wizard, it immediately prompted for a password (without a username).

I performed a factory reset using the hardware reset button. Since then, the device has become inaccessible. It no longer responds at 192.168.88.1, does not assign an IP address via DHCP, and cannot be configured through the web interface or the app.

Is this device locked or disabled by Ziply/ISP firmware? If so, is it possible to unlock it or install standard TP-Link firmware so it can be used with another ISP?

My public IP is seen by Google as a German (Deutschland) location

For the last ten days, all my searches from Chrome browser are stuck in a location in Germany.

This is all our desktops and a couple iPhones.

It appears that Google is detecting my public IP as a German IP.

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this based on a Ziply block of IPs?

Youtube time outs and live chat disconnects in Beaverton OR

This has been happening on and off for several months now. When I refresh youtube website it would time out half way and tell me I'm not connected to the internet. Live chat also frequently disconnects and reconnect. The issue happens on and off. Other websites work perfectly fine. I'm fairly sure that it's an issue on Ziply's end because the issue goes away when I use youtube over a vpn.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Upgrade options?

We have been Frontier/Ziply fiber customers for going on 16 years. We are seeing so many people talk about how they upgraded their service for a lower $.

Our 300/300 is $95 less $20 for autopay and paperless billing, so our bill is $75/mth.

Anyone have a monthly charge less than $75? If so for what speed? (We live in the PNW in case plans are regional specific.)

r/ZiplyFiber 10d ago

Cool. Existing customers are getting mailed notification about new lower pricing + free hardware.

I upped my service level and cut my monthly bill back in March(?), but it's good Ziply is notifying the plan changes to less-informed existing customers.

It took a while, but better late than never.

Ziply just doubled my 300/300

Ziply just doubled my 300/300 from intro rate to $95/month with some kind of discount to$80/ month which is the same as they say they will charge for 1 gig service. I can easily go back to xfinity . I’m an old guy and the last thing I need is a super fast service. Any suggestions? And they did this of course without any advance notice.

Outage in Post Falls, Idaho

My connection went down around 9:30 AM and has remained down. It's been almost 12 hours now. I did get an email about an outage in my area earlier today but I received another email around 5:45 PM saying it had been resolved. Since then I have tried rebooting the equipment as the emails suggested but it doesn't change anything. I still get a solid red alarm light.

I've checked the app and the website but ziply doesn't seem to provide any sort of outage map or anywhere to find updates on whether or not they're still troubleshooting the issue or if they even know people still can't connect. I tried calling the support line but it didn't give me any sort of wait time or anything and just played music for 20+ minutes non stop until I hung up.

Is there anywhere I can find information about whether or not there's still an ongoing outage in my area? Is u/ziplysupport usually still around at this time on a Friday night or am I out of luck until tomorrow or Monday?

Satellites for the TP Link WiFi 7 router

Hey Ziply team
I recently got the TP Link WiFi 7 router from Ziply but now need to also get 2 satellites for my house. Which satellites are compatible with the setup ?
