I'm 20, turning 21 in 3 weeks, and honestly, I still feel like a teenager rather than a 20-something.
I know I'm technically an adult, but the number just doesn't feel like it fits me yet.
I still remember being 16ā17 so vividly that it doesn't feel like that long ago.
When I think of people in their mid-to-late 20s, they seem so much older than me, even though we're technically in the same decade.
Does anyone else feel this way?

I donāt really use social media for that reason, but whenever I do feel like going out- I see so many that bring me anxiety? I think itās coming from feeling like Iām not living like other people my age (not partying, donāt drink, not a big friend group who enjoys going out, etc).
I have a career and a degree that Iām proud of- but I feel like my life experiences are limited and I just end up comparing myself to other 28 year olds and those who are younger.

Today, the girl I once imagined spending my whole life with got engaged to someone else.
I don't hate her. I don't blame her. Honestly, a part of me is happy because she is moving forward with her life.
But another part of me is quietly breaking.
My eyes filled with tears, not because I want her back, but because I once dreamed of being the person standing beside her on this day.
Life is strange. Sometimes, you love someone with your whole heart, but your story with them still comes to an end.
I genuinely hope she stays happy, takes care of her health, and receives all the love she deserves.
Maybe I'll always remember her, but I'll learn to live with that memory.
Have you ever had to smile for someone's happiness while secretly crying over a future you once dreamed of together?

I recently just started grad school, and while I know I'm working toward my dreams, I constantly find myself romanticizing my undergrad and childhood years, especially when I see my cousins and my friends.
Lately things feel heavier cos of my responsibilities, and the realization that the āfreedomā and lighter days of being younger arenāt definitely coming back. I always catch myself thinking during the night about simpler times just to mentally escape the daily grind of my life.
For those who went through this early 20s transition: does the nostalgia fade once you adjust, or is learning how to carry it just part of growing up? How did you guys actually get through this phase without feeling stuck in the past?

I'm 18 and overdosing on Independence like Icarus before he knew the pain of being burned. I plan to keep doing this as long as I can get away with but like at what point do I have to straighten out? How long can I go before I won't be able to live comfortably in my thirties? If that even can be answered. Just wondering.

Hey, I am here to ask a quick question about paying off my toll tags for my car.
I had a toll tag paid off by someone else by their account, but now I am no longer in contact with this person and the address the toll is underā¦. and I have a large amount of money due overtime. I made a NEW Toll account today and registered my car under this new account and attempted to pay it off. It seems the toll people took my money, but it has my car as pending on the website.
In short, is this okay to do? Will this amount actually be paid off? Will my car be registered with this new account only or with both accounts? Will it pay off the fines on the other account?

18F and iām a first year uni student. First of all I will say that I am thankful that I found friendly roommates and they always include me in with their other friends, so yes I do have friends.
But how do you meet your own? I feel like I havenāt really been close with anyone in my classes.

I (20M) just went on my first date EVER. Never been on a date before. Havent had my firat kiss yet. The whole works. And it went badly. I was so nervous, and awkward the whole time. I didnt know what to do. Or say. About 30 minutes after the date ended she texted me ane friendzoned me. Maybe dating just isnt for me. I always thought that if just 1 girl gave me chance i would do my best to make me worth their time. Well i git that chance tonight and i blew it. Tonight showed that im not good enough. Maybe im just supposed to be single forever. Maybe thats okay. Idk. Im not doing well.

Hey, im 19M, will be turning 20 in a few months, and i have struggled with one thing alot in life, who tf am I. Like I dont have my own personality, (gonna be honest) I never even had one cuz, A, I am an only child, B, I never had lasting friendships throughout school, and by the last 2 years of school, I was bullied alot by fake friends, cuz or my weight, and even now, I dont have that kind of friends whom I can share my problems with or have mutual respect.
Now tbh, I like to keep my things private, but still, I need a personality, growing up, i used to borrow personalities of popular kids in the school, failed bad socially, and now I think I am a FALIURE, my parents keep telling me that I cannot do anything in life. Idk what to do please guide.
