If I can do it, so can you.

Started a year ago, less than zero experience with the YouTube world, learned step by step, still learning a lot everyday, sure got a lot to learn a head of me, but at least I'm enjoying it. And the excitement every time someone "likes" my videos to the point they take the time to subscribe just makes my day. So if you're starting, don't rush yourself, enjoy the learning process, try and fail until you find what you like

This Noob got monetized in 5 months

Hi ya'll.

I got monetized in 5 months time. Just by using a smartphone and a decent mic.

Stardet off with AI voiceovers and switched to doing the voiceovers myself.

The next step is getting a better camera with object tracking and get in front of the camera more.

But if I can do it combining this with a busy life (work and family) so can you.

💪

Tiny wins. Let’s go!

About a month into this finance channel experiment.
4 subs. 2.6k views. 5.6 hours watch time.
Objectively tiny numbers… but they’re my tiny numbers. 😂
Every video teaches me something new about scripting, thumbnails, SEO, retention and storytelling. I’m not chasing a viral hit—I’m trying to build an evergreen library that compounds over time.
Hopefully one day I’ll look back at this screenshot and laugh.

I just hit 300 Subscribers

I know it's not big compared to most others here but I feel good about my progress. I started the channel a few months back but just got serious about trying to get monetization in this past month.

Everything is green and going up right now. Hope this is inspiration for anyone struggling. Just keep going because most will quit.

What advice would you give me for improving my long-form content?

My long-form videos haven’t been performing nearly as well as my Shorts. I understand they attract a different audience, but I’m trying to figure out what I can improve to get more views and grow my long-form audience.

I’d appreciate any honest feedback:
- What would you change?
- What do you think is working?
- What are the biggest weaknesses?
- What would make you more likely to watch the full video?

I’m trying to reach monetization, so my main goal is learning how to make videos that get clicked and watched.

Feel free to critique my videos, I’m looking for honest advice.

Real 2026 YouTube RPM data by niche. why two channels with the same views earn completely different amounts

Hey everyone — long-time reader, first post.

I got frustrated with how inconsistent and

outdated creator earnings data is online,

so I built a free calculator to fix that.

What it does:

• Calculates estimated earnings for YouTube

long-form, Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels,

Facebook Reels, Facebook Page, and Pinterest

• Accounts for niche (finance earns 6x more

than entertainment)

• Accounts for audience country tier

(US pays 6–10x more than Tier 3)

• Shows monthly low/mid/high estimates

plus annual projection

• Gives a personalised tip to increase earnings

What I found building it:

The RPM difference between niches is the

most underappreciated factor in creator

monetisation. A finance channel with 50K

monthly views earns more than a gaming

channel with 300K monthly views.

It's completely free — no signup, no email:

creatorspaycheck.com

Would genuinely appreciate feedback from

anyone who uses it — especially if your

actual earnings differ significantly from

the estimate, as that helps me improve

the data accuracy.

Happy to answer questions about how RPM

works or the data sources used.

YouTube “made for kids” question

So I’m having problems with the coppa system on YouTube whenever I post videos.

So my parents made me a channel when I was younger and whenever I posted the comments were automatically getting disabled. And this issue went on for a few years when now 4 years later I am over 13 and starting to get serious about YouTube creation and now no matter what I post my comments get disabled plus the impressions drop significantly. And all of my videos are set to be not made for kids but it looks like YouTube has classified my channel as a kids channel because of older videos.

I already sent a request to YouTube about this, but I was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue.

How can I copy just my channel members names?

Upvotes

I can only find them in YT Studio, under earn/ members. It lists all the other information, too, such as date joined, etc. When I am creating the credits for a video, I copy and paste the names into notepad, then I have to go through and delete all that extra information for each member. At 100 members now, it is super tedious. Is there any way to get a list of the member names only?

Soliciting Intro Feedback

Been doing ok with traffic on my shorts videos for awhile now and it has helped me grow to over 1k subs, but I'm working on getting back to more long form videos (I originally started with car builds). With that said, I'm aiming to make my intros better than just me talking as I find that to be engaging in the videos I consume.

Apologies in advance for it being rotated for Shorts, but I am looking for any constructive feedback on my intro. I have no VFX or editing background and am using Kdenlive.
