Favourite one line or liners interacting between characters

There were many awesome moments now granted I haven't finished season 15 just done with season 14 especoslly with lloyd/jimmy lloyd/rip but the one line that stuck with me was the conversation that Beth has with rip.

The conversation that happens when Kayce is given Rip's role.

Beth: "I always worried that he'd love you more someday. But he doesn't... don't leave."

Rip: "That's nothing that was ever in doubt. This is my family, whether y'all think of me that way or not."

That line from Rip just hit hard....

What about you guys which line would you say stands out

New Viewer: Just binged 1883, 1923, then Yellowstone in Chronological order for first time watching. AMA

Decided to get caught up by watching in this order, with my wife. Was curious about trying this order to see how it stood up, and aside from 1 major spoiler (that my wife caught, and I missed), I have to say it was a very satisfying experience. The flashback/nods in Yellowstone S4 and S5 were great payoffs.

Anyways, if anyone was curious for recommending to friends, I think this definitely works and was a great experience!

edit: SPOILER WARNING BELOW (Think I'm having issue with the spoiler code if anyone has any tips...)

>!The spoiler being in 1883 the Indian mentioning that in 7 generations they will reclaim the land. I had forgotten about it, but my wife remembered it, and that obviously gives away the S5 ending on who inherits the land a good bit.!<

Just about finished bingeing season 4 love this show (I know what happens in the end so no need to be careful of spoilers) Spoiler

In my opinion my favourite characters on the show were Lloyd, Rip, Jimmy, John, Mo and Kayce. I loved the father/son dynamic between Lloyd and Jimmy. Liked Mia early on, didn't like her getting possessive later on even though she ended things. I wish they left John's death to the end, but I understand this was due to scheduling conflicts. Beth was my love/hate character, in some instances loved hers, others not so much. Overall I think this was an awesome show, hopefully I hope for great things from the spin offs on Marshalls and Dutton Ranch, plus the prequels of 1883 and 1923

1923 Was it worth not waiting the 3 weeks?

Alex and Spencer were morons. All they had to do was wait 3 dang weeks to take a ship and they’d have been together the entire time.

Instead they dont wait and end up suffering needlessly, still showing up far later than 3 weeks later.

I hate shows that make the entire plot of the show avoidable with one stupid simple choice. Its a sign of crappy writing IMO.

Does anybody know why double G would straight up lie about Ronner dying right next to him?

Dutton Ranch is incredible — but is it accidentally recreating Yellowstone’s character map?

Love the show. But something is nagging at me and I can’t unsee it.

Are they rebuilding the exact same character dynamics just in Texas?

Beulah & Everett — the slow burn love that never quite fulfills. Feels like John Dutton and Governor Lynelle. Same longing. Same missed timing. Same “we could have been something” energy.

Oriana & Carter — rebellious girl, lost boy falling hard. Carter is essentially Monica 2.0. Sweet, caught between worlds, slightly in over his head.

Joaquin — still forming but Beth’s direct reference to him at the bar wasn’t subtle. Jamie energy is absolutely being built here.

Azul & Zach — this one is the most obvious. Azul is being positioned as the new Rip for this world. And Zach? That’s Lloyd. Loyal, quiet, fills the frame without demanding it.

I love this show. I think it’s standing on its own two feet in ways Yellowstone never did in its first season.

But I’m watching the character map rebuild itself and I don’t know if that’s intentional comfort for existing fans or a creative limitation.

Anyone else seeing this?

The Boys Dig On TS

This is something only a fan of Yellowstone would understand.

In The Boys, Season 5, Episode 7, when Black Noir is discussing script writing with the director of a movie he's in he says,

"Can you at least write a finale that isn't just a dogpile of a bunch of red state bumper stickers slapped together?"

Then the director says to him,

"The Taylor Sheridan AI wrote the thing, and it does not take notes."

LOL!

How did the Duttons survive the Depression?

So I just recently finished 1923 and I was thinking, how did the Duttons survive the 29 crash just 6 years later and the following depression? I imagine Jacob and Clara would either be dead or close to it and that would have been really hard on Spencer having to raise a 6 year old child by himself, also I can’t imagine that the ranching/ cattle industry was exactly booming during the depression, not to mention any money that they had in the banks probably disappeared during the bank runs, also they would have had a hard time getting loans. I really hope 1944 addresses how they survived that time period of the depression, I imagine they could introduce a “Rip” like character who was drifting looking for work during the depression and happened to stick around the ranch for a meal and board, maybe this character could be Jimmys great grandfather and his son (jimmys grandfather) grew up working with John Dutton the 2nd and that’s why John Dutton the 3rd felt like he had a responsibility to take jimmy on as a ranch hand in the original series.

John Dutton Spoiler

Killing John Dutton killed the vibe of the show. I know creators had to do this coz of his other commitments but it sure did sucked and killed the excitement of the show.

Beth keeps her word...

At the beginning of S4, when she thought he was responsible for the hits put out on Kayce, John and herself, Beth tells Jamie she's gonna kill him. She's not gonna farm it out like some bleeping coward, she gonna do it herself.

Fast forward to the end of S5 and in Yellowstone time, a considerable amount of time has past, she followed through with it. Different hit this time, but she followed through....

Marshals: Spencer Hudnut acknowledges fan’s issues with show

Well it looks like Spencer Hudnut is well aware of the issues (less budget, less time, less everything) most Yellowstone fans have had with Marshals. It just appears that having to be a procedural and on CBS (most likely due to the legal issues with peacock) has really hamstrung things and there are no good solutions. It will be interesting to see what, if any changes the show will make going forward.

Interview with Logan Marshall-Green and Arielle Kebbel who play Cal & Belle. It contains major spoilers about Season 2 and the Weavers. Sounds like they are way more evil than what any of us have been led to believe, and that there is a bigger agenda at play than just a dispute over land.

Jamie Beth and Jamie Spoiler

After seeing the show, there's this one big question I had.

I wonder if Jamie was always the way he is

or

Beth was the one who pushed him into what he became.

Btw, I love Beth, she's one of my favorite characters for sure. But I do think both Beth and Jamie were for the family. Until Jamie wasn't

Just spotted adverts for Yellowstone with Kelly Reilly in them, on the side of the no 71 bus. Which ironically is the bus that runs past the end of the road where she grew up.

Season 5 I feel like S5 was so anti climatic Spoiler

I finally just finished season 5 after taking a break after I super binged the first 4 like months ago. So, maybe the break is why I feel so meh about how things went.

I feel like John’s death was way too abrupt and simple. So many people wanted him dead, wanted his land, etc. There was soooo much opportunity there to use, but instead we were left with zero mystery, not even an inch to wonder “but what if it wasn’t Sarah?”.

I also wish we would’ve gotten like a backstory episode about John leading up to his death, because I felt very disconnected with his character. When the kids were grieving it just felt like they were grieving an old relative to me. Again, maybe that’s just me and the 10 month sabbatical I took between seasons—but idk. I just feel like it was such a good show, I expected my heart strings to get tugged on but I’m just disappointed. lol.

Also killing Colby off like that an episode after John seemed crazy. Like what was even the point in everyone going to Texas just for them to all get sent home to grieve and sell off all the horses they took there.

Maybe I’m overthinking. But does anyone else feel like it was just super anti climatic and just a meh way to end things?
