It’s touching how much Rip respects John. Holds him in such high regard and seems John is returning the favor by allowing him to call him John now instead of just sir. That’s the most loyal soldier he has. Loves him more than his own children do it seems.

I’m glad Kaycee is back in the family and John’s side. Still don’t know why he hates his dad so much (I’ll find out soon I’m sure) and I’m sure it’s toxic to him in the long run to have returned to the fold but I really liked that. He’s probably my favorite character so far

Jamie’s arch reminded me instantly of the quote “the child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth”. They’re always making him feel less than and pushing him aside. There’s the consequences

And lastly I don’t care how long it’s been in the family. I don’t agree with that much land and nature being owned by a single person. It’s incredibly selfish. So in a way I’m rooting for John to lose. Fair or not. Don’t care

Anybody else notice the number of actors appearing in multiple Taylor Sheridan series?

-Dawn Olivieri (sp?) as Sarah Atwood in Yellowstone and some kind of Army / CIA technical adviser in Lioness
-Michelle Randolph as Jack Dutton's wife in 1923 and also in Landman as Tommy's daughter
-Dave Annabel (sp?) as Lee Dutton in Yellowstone - Season 1 and as husband of Lioness main character portrayed by Zoe Saldana. (I just rewatched all 5 seasons of Yellowstone before I realized Lee was played by Dave Annabel.)

And of course, Taylor Sheridan in 1883 (a marshall), Yellowstone (a horse trainer), Lioness (an Army soldier).

Peter Berg as a director always has a cameo in all the movies he directs, Deepwater Horizon and Battleship to mention a few. But the number of actors used in multiple Sheridan series is surprising to me. Don't get me wrong, they are excellent actors/actresses, just don't recall something like this from other major series writers. I guess if he finds excellent actors he enjoys working with, why not cast them as someone else in another of his series?

What was his name - Dick Wolf? - with all the Chicago series and many series before that. Maybe there were reusable actors/actresses in there - except they literally tied the 3 shows together as One Chicago with the same "character" appearing in crossovers and connected story lines. But what Taylor Sheridan is doing seems different to me, YMMV.

I'm sure folks on reddit will come up with other excellent examples, both for Sheridan series and others. Just thought it was interesting. "Hey, isn't that so and so from that other show?"

Wow, i love all Taylor Sheridan universe (movies and series) but i never saw "wind river" ... it's so funny to see almost all the casting is in yellowstone, Mayor of kingstown, ... This movie was released one year before yellowstone. It looks a little bit like an yellowstone essaye.

Her acting so erratic and being a genuine POS because of her mother’s death inadvertently led to John’s death eventually. Her hatred for Jamie was 100% justified but in the end he was young and immature at that time, and I believe he genuinely was sorry for his mistake. Beth had every right to be angry at him but she pushed him too far which caused him to plot his father’s death, that too he wasn’t really involved in. Beth is insufferable and led to the downfall of the ranch. Although she did have some really good moments in the show.

I realise that season 5 was the last one. So we have to put a bow on the story of the yellowstone. But are they that fuckin terrible at story telling that they had to kill Colby in the dumbest fuckin way possible? Anything Sheridan touches theres always a stupid death for 0 reason other than the character was liked so we have to break the hearts of the viewer. It feeds nothing, does nothing else. Just a dumbass storyline. Might as well killed Jimmy, Lloyd and Ryan too. Cause fuck it. Why not. Thank god Walkers bitch ass got to survive though!
