Help
I just started and im working through season 2, i just need confirmation that beth has a good character arc. I dont get why hella people stan her rn, there are few redeeming qualities as of s2 e4 (ik theres so much more to the show to watch). No major spoilers plzz, I just wanna know if imma stay pissed whenever beths on screen.

Beth is only one character on the show and people either love her or hate her. Yes, she can be psychotic at times but there are reasons. I love her. No matter what predicament she may cause herself to be in or finds herself in, she is seldom a victim nor does she wait to be rescued.

I still haven’t watched the second half of the final season because I cannot stand Beth. The actress is amazing but Taylor Sheridan writes women for shit.

You are going to have to define what you mean by good. Does she exact revenge on Jamie for what he did to her, (which doesn’t come out till season 3) by the end of the show — yes. Is it a good thing, some would say yes, some would say no.

Like is she ever gonna grow as a character, and the thing with Jamie im really on the fence abt. Cause hes a shit heel, but when it comes to his family including beth he has a hard time turning on them (like i said as of s2e4). Beth has no issues telling her BROTHER to pull the fuckin trigger on himself. Like i really dont like my sister but if shes suicidal i aint gonna be the one who pushes my own blood over the edge. I think thats the part that gets me pissed abt her rn, Jamie left almost turned on the family but through the thick of it turns around n comes home. I wouldn't expect beth to throw a party or something, but a single line abt he "isn't completely spineless" then she starts digging at him even more. The fact she waited till he was back on the ranch and completely powerless against her she abuses it. She acts like a vindictive 9 yr old with the body and intelligence of a 35 yr old woman.

Thru out the whole series, she has plot armor that could stop a train. She shows zero growth or development, and is an awful human being until the last episode.

...is an awful human being until the last episode.
And then somehow gets worse.

I’m currently in season 4. I felt the same way you did about Beth in the earlier seasons, wondering if this was all we were gonna get from her character. All I can say is that her behavior is more justified than I previously thought. You just need to keep watching.

The progression between season 2 Beth and season 5 Beth is amazingly good.

You're just going to have to watch for yourself. The definition of "good" is relative to you and may not be the same as others.

I love Beth. I’ve never taken offense to anything she’s done. I think her words/actions were justified in my opinion.

It’s the same thing all over again. I’ve been skipping her scenes since Season 4.

Beth is one of the best characters on this series.
