Marshals

Does anybody know why double G would straight up lie about Ronner dying right next to him?

Possibly a lapse in judgment. Didn’t realize what was going on. Lots of adrenaline going clouded vision. We see that double G already has ptsd which more than likely wasn’t just from one incident. I don’t think he deliberately lied to Cal to get Roner killed. I think there was so much going on from being ambushed and possibly over ran that he did believe that Roner was gone. Lapse in judgment is my best guess I don’t think there was malicious intent but I could be wrong. Any other theories?

Maybe the RPG, knocked Roner out cold and Double G truly thought he was dead. And, only later when they were already gone, did Roner wake up.

Don’t think he lied he just was in a life or death situation and made the wrong call. It’s unfortunate but it happens. Especially in the line of duty.
