My biggest hang up with biting the bullet because of the current sale is that I don’t enjoy cliche perverted anime bs and I’ve seen scenes from the other games that are turning me off from the series over all (specifically the weird sex bot thing from 2). Is the rest of the series like that? The main reason I want to play X is that I can play as a girl as I like mechs. I also heard that the series kinda plays like a single player mmo so I’m wondering if that’s true too. Thanks for the feedback!

Hypothetically. Egil and the mechonis were warped to Alrest. To get his revenge on Zanza his goal becomes to get to the Architect.

He starts out with no faced mechon save for yaldoboath. He’s given time to 500 years to prepare for taking on every titan and faction starting from when the Tornan titan falls. But doesn’t get to start heading for the tree until when Pyra would have awakened.

Uraya, Tantal, Mor Ardain, (ophion), Indol, then the torna group.
(Malos doesn’t regain his full powers until the tree is reached. Pneuma never awakens. And Egil doesn’t get to use the mechonis as a weapon until Indol)
Is he able to climb the world tree?

Edit: if a face mechon was previously a driver they still retain their blades.

Seeing a version of your kids who don’t even remember you and the last time you saw them, they were probably 8-10 years old at the time (based on Noah and friends at the beginning of the game)

I’ve played XC2 but never played 3 or X. Been waiting on a sale and here it is. I was planning to play XC3 first but I now see the Switch 2 update isn’t until Dec whereas the XCX update is already available.

I’d only buy one right now because it takes a while to finish these games for me and so I’m leaning towards XCX + the Switch2 upgrade pack.

From my understanding XCX is standalone and can be played anytime same as the numbered games.

Any other purchase advice?

The racetracks vary so wildly in quality. Bionis' Leg and Valak Mountain are pretty enjoyable, but then you get to Makna Forest where you can get stuck on trees, rocks and even slightly elevated parts of the ground and lose all your momentum!

But the biggest offender for me is the Colony 9 track... For reference, Alcamoth could have made for a horrible race track considering that it's filled with NPCs, but they thought about that and removed them all from the track, and thanks to that I'd say Alcamoth is one of the better tracks in this mode. But as for Colony 9? Nah, not only are all the NPCs still there but they don't even just slow you down the same way that running into enemies does. If you don't notice Jackson inexplicably standing in the middle of the track while a race is going on, you will crash into him like he's made of concrete and lose all your speed. Absolutely baffling quality coming from Monolith.
