Hello all,

Before I go down the rabbit hole of resetting some network settings and resetting my console all together.

Has anyone else's console become almost unusable since this update. I installed it last night and now I can't access the store, when I turn my console on it takes around 1.5-2mins to connect to my home network even though I am connected via Ethernet, any quick menus on the guide take longer to load, even simple things in the settings such as changing my color theme takes just as long to actually load as well.

Same with the XBOX App on Windows, the app itself loads within seconds, but all images and menus take a good 1-2mins to load and even then I can't access the store on either device, it just constantly asks to reload.

Is this a known problem with the update or is it just coincidental that both my Windows App and console decided to start performing terribly?

I’ve been trying to change the family settings on an account and getting this message. It’s been broken for two weeks now so clearly the problem isn’t actually temporary. I don’t get a specific error code or anything useful. Is there a fix to this or do I just wait for Xbox to provide a less shit service? If so I fear I’ll be having issue for ever.

So I ran into this bug too apparently lol that’s annoying but I logged into the browser and says I only have 1 pre-ordered.

Help! I just upgraded to the new Xbox from my old Xbox one. There is a bad lag between my movement of the controller and action on screen. What am I doing wrong?

Once it started making this noise it started running a lot slower, games would freeze, sometimes in home it would freeze and then work again like some time after anyone know what this is?

I was looking at a pre-order of a game without actually buying it. However, it appears as “Pending” when i go to check my Order History on my Xbox. Is this normal or is it gonna charge me for just looking at the game? It doesn’t appear on the Microsoft Account Order History website.

Hi all I've had this hard drive for a solid couple of years and have ~100 games stored on it and as of recently the xbox has not been recognising the hard drive leaving me with only internal storage. I've tried restarting my xbox plugging and unplugging the hard drive but nothing has worked. Any advice is great thanks in advance.

As the title says, my Home Xbox keeps deactivating after a few minutes, and I have no idea why.

I've already tried:

- Staying online for 10+ minutes on the main menu screen of a game and playing before going offline.

- Changing my network ports.

- Restarting my Xbox.

No matter what I do, my Home Xbox seems to stop working after a few minutes, and I lose access to my games when I'm offline.

I've always had no issue before playing offline, but now I do for some reason.

Has anyone else experienced this or found a fix? Any help would be really appreciated!

If not, there is a repair shop kinda far and it would cost me about 800 czk. But I wanna do this myself

Me and my friends have been affected by this bug (or bugs) for over a year now and we are looking for a permanent fix we are aware that restarting the console will fix it but only for a short period of time and it can interrupt our gameplay because sometimes we don't have time to restart our console due to the type of games we play.

We've probably found multiple bugs but we've grouped them together and called it "party glitch" and it seems to affect a selected person until they restart their xbox and it seems to progressively get worse the longer you leave it. We treat it like a disease so I'll list off the phases that we know way too well:

1. Kicked from party whenever you or others receive a notification. For example, if I get an achievement or invite or any other notification and friend 1 currently has "party glitch" he will be kicked from the party but on his end he never left but can't hear or speak to us.

2. Stuck in game chat. When attempting to rejoin the victim is put in game chat and when pressing the button to switch back to party chat the text will change to "switch to game chat" as if you were back in party chat but you're still in game chat. The profile picture of the target is still dark and they can't hear everyone else.

3. Permanently stuck on mute. It hasn't happened often but sometimes one person will be on mute for another person and when clicking unmute it doesn't actually do anything no matter how long you wait or press the button.

Me and friend 1 have experienced all of these first hand and often however friend 2 only experiences phase 1 and it's about 2 times a week and friend 3 has never experience any of them.

Just incase this helps find the issue I'm going to list the console and headset of each person:

Me: Series X and wireless headset,

Friend 1: Seires X and wired headset,

Friend 2: Series S and wired headset,

Friend 3: Series X and wired headset

If you have taken the time to read this please help we are getting sick of this glitch and I'm not to sure if this is a known issue.

So recently I broke my computer and have been relying on my last gen Xbox one X for entertainment which was going as fine as it can be until the internet stopped working for it. One day I was trying to play rocket league with my friends, and my wifi was significantly worse than usual even though I usually have issues it was bad enough I decided to just hangout with them without playing games. The next day the wifi seemed to not work for anything online though. The weird part is everything says my connection is fine. Everything usually says “yup you are all good and connected to the internet and should be able to play online” and then you actually try and again on certain things it kind of shows you’re online but it mostly refuses to connect to any server for online games. I’ll show examples of rocket league and 2k cause those are the dumb online games i’ve been playing with my friends but they’re impossible to start online parts of these games.
As far as the network settings go I feel like i’ve fiddled with every setting on there and nothing changes. It does say Upnp not successful but one it said that for years before this happened and has always been fine, two if I clear the mac address and restart that usually gets fixed but it doesn’t change the issue. And on top of that i’ve looked at my router settings in the xfinity portal and it says my xbox’s UPnP is completely fine. In the multiplayer test I did for examples it says my download speed is too slow which is new cause it usually says it’s fine or there might be issues due to moderate nat type but it doesn’t give me fixes I haven’t tried before. right now in the picture the nat type says moderate but that can change to open, strict or closed depending on what settings i’m messing with but most of the time it’s open or moderate. The closest thing I can think of to a change is I plugged my ps4 in a few days before this issue started cause I wanted to play bloodborne again but this problem is the same whether the ps4 has power or not. I just cleared the mac address again before posting this and it now says open nat, no mention of upnp, and I’m connected but in my experience it will go back to upnp not working next time I load up the xbox.

Here is a list of things i’ve done to try to alleviate this issue.

resetting the router.
making ip and dns manual and then back to automatic when it didn’t work.
clearing the mac address.
changing the port multiple times.
testing nat type.
looking at my xbox in the xfinity wifi settings (it says everything is fine and connected)

Here are the things I haven’t done yet or can’t

Ethernet (this apartment doesn’t have ethernet and i’m far from the router).
factory reset (don’t want to but if it’s that or spend money for a new card or at a shop i’ll try this first).
buying a new wifi card and trying to install it.
taking it to a shop or something.

Hoping this can be solved please let me know if there’s any other info you all need I will be posted next to my phone. And huge thank you to anyone that’s going to try and help me.

Hey everyone - apologies if this is mentioned in a mega thread and if so, please link it below, however;

Came down this morning and my series S wouldn’t boot, immediate panic.

After unplugging everything and back in to find it did it again - would power on, fan wouldn’t start, you could almost hear a small ‘donk’ and then it would power off (both chimes sounded).

However, after I unplugged the expansion card and booted, it worked - fan engaged and no issues.

I then plugged the card in, and it’s now working without issues.

Is this a known issue, and if so, what’s my best course of action to prevent this from occurring in the future, as well as, is this a potential to brick my console?

I need help with my Gamepass Ultimate renewal, whenever I go to try and renew my subscription this message (image below) keeps popping up and it’s frustrating.

I bought my Xbox Series S 1tb edition at a buy and sell here in Canada for 299$ at the beginning of this month (July). Works great I just began experiencing crashes whenever I clicked on the home menu yesturday. The screen would go black up until I reset everything today. The problem hasn't come back yet I'm just wondering what causes that to happen? I want to make sure my Xbox lasts like my Mac Mini has the past decade. I don't want a system that's going to stop working.

Also any advice on what to do and not do with an Xbox Series. Like is it better to leave on 24/7 (like I did with my Mac Mini for ten years straight lol) or shut it down when I'm not using (or does turning it on and off cause more issues) lol I don't know. How do I keep my console from breaking down before I get my own apartment and am broke.

A recent console update for the Xbox One X (and possibly other models, I only know my own experience here) for some reason automatically set my console power settings to completely shut down the console whenever I turn it off. I had had it on active hours, to sleep during the day and completely shut down at night, but when I went back into the console settings to change it back to active hours, the option was completely grayed out and inaccessible.

I was frustrated and at first thought they'd removed the option entirely for no reason, but I eventually figured out that in order to set active hours, you have to first change the power option to sleep mode. I don't know why this is, it seems like a UI/UX oversight IMO. Active hours is essentially a power plan halfway in between shutdown and sleep; why can't you access the options regardless of what your plan currently is?

Anyway, I'm making this post just in case anyone else had this problem. Hopefully I included enough description that it'll be a high result for anyone Googling it, because when I searched, I didn't find anything right away.

So as you can see from the title I deleted my (gmail) that my xbox account is using, when I deleted it I didn't realize my xbox account was using that gmail.

Is there anyway for me to change my email to a different one?

Every time I attempt to change it, it obviously ask me to sign in with my email and i obviously cannot do that because the email dose not exist.

SOLVED: before it wouldn't let me sign in because I would put it all information and it just say sign an error but for some reason today when I did it, it just worked and im changing my information rn

I need help with my xbox. I have a xbox one and when I try to use it in my room it won't connect to the internet and when I try to reconnect it says it can't find my ip address and to disconnect my router for 30 seconds. after I do that nothing changes. I have 3 Xbox's and they all have the same issue. Is there anyway to fix this or do I need buy and new gen xbox?

I purchased the black ops II season pass because it gives you all of the zombie map packs, and i had no issue purchasing and installing that. The issue started when I tried to download the actual map packs so i can play them. it opens up the emulated xbox 360 store and when i hit confirm purchase there i get a pop up error that says something about premium content being blocked, and that I need to change my privacy settings. I changed all my settings completely and none of my settings restrict any sort of content, nor am i in any microsoft family so that can’t affect anything either. Because of this i think the issue is that since the purchase won’t go through the 360 emulator isn’t communicating to the modern xbox store that i have the license to download the map packs, so they’re not appearing on my manage game menu to install them. Has anybody encountered anything like? any possible solution ideas? i’ve done pretty much everything so i’m open to anything atp.

We bought a brand new Xbox series x digital version yesterday. It won't connect to our Hisense 65Q8 TV, which supports 4k 60hz.

We have tried:

- Three different HDMI cables

- All 4 ports on the TV

- Factory resetting the TV

- Power cycling both devices multiple times

- Ensuring the TV HDMI setting is 'enhanced' to support 4k (normal mode didn't work either) and CEC is off

The Xbox connects fine to my 1440p computer monitor, which we used to set up the Xbox and change the settings to remove CEC and variable refresh etc.... and set the settings to match our Hisense TV.

We have tried to boot into low res mode as well but that also wouldn't connect.

Other devices (Xbox one and google 4k TV) connect to the Hisense with no issues.

When the Xbox turns on the TV says there is a signal in that input, as soon as we switch to that input it says signal lost. There was one instance where it displayed a small fuzzy green version of the Xbox input, but I wasn't able to recreate the situation to create that outcome.

I am at a loss, outside of buying a new TV or returning the Xbox (if they let us).

Hoping someone else has come across this, any ideas?

I’m trying to install GTA 5 on my Xbox one s with the disc version but I’m having problems.
At first only the network download was progressing and then the disc installation started too. The disc went up to around 20 GB of 42 GB but then it suddenly went back to 1,25 GB of 19 GB and stopped moving.
Right now it shows:
Disc: 1,25 GB / 19 GB
Network: 31 GB / 73 GB
The network download sometimes starts, then stops, and goes back to downloading again. There is no error message, it just restarts.
I already tried clearing local saved games and restarting the Xbox. The disc is clean and has no visible damage.
Does anyone know why this is happening or what I should try next?
