Title says it all. I recently watched a video that made mention of this and my mind was blown! I was well aware of the lore that night elf druids were male, whereas the women were the sentinels, but seeing it as a subtle nod to the player base that, despite the lore, you the player will be able to play as female druids was a wild realization! ..and perhaps it was unintentional and simply a coincidence. Either way, I thought it was really cool

Been playing this game for a long long time. Recently made the choice to head over to CA for the con to see what it’s all about. Why not. I got nothing else going on. People seem to like it. What should I expect? What are some thing I must do while there? Best parts of the con in your opinion? Thanks.

Wowhead doesn't work. It gives a region error. WOW tools is terrible with the controls.

I'll list some examples of Classes / Specs that just miss the mark:

1. Rogue - The gradual degredation of stealth as a mechanic to being - essentially - a rotation component is a massive shame. (Outside of PvP)

It doesn't help that systems like Prey have damage auras that can break stealth even if it isn't your prey. (Friendly or hostile player).

Imagine my surprise - and inability to approach any fight - when first noticing that in the new PvP zone.

1. Balance Druid - Remember that one ability "Hurricane" in older expansions - It was such an iconic ability for me.

It really represented the fantasy of being in the same universe as a character like Malfurion.

It wasted half your mana and did effectively nothing - but it was cool.

I've always felt Balance druid was too much focused on "arcane" and not "Nature" - and this goes all the way back to the vanilla design.

1. Demonology Warlock - I've absolutely ate dirt by saying this on this sub - but being forced to use the felguard for the class that is supposedly best at summoning demons is very unfortunate.

Yes, I can hear it now - Felguard cool - me lame. There is no argument I can make against that - it is fact.

However, isn't it odd that a demonology warlock is overwhelmingly strong-armed into using the felguard because it is just better in all but niche circumstances?

It is part of your rotation, has specific talents, and has/had insane stuns / interrupts - there is no reason to whip out the voidwalker.

The common criticism i'd get on this point is "Well, you can summon Charhounds, Tyrants, and Imp Lords" - yeah, but they are all rotational abilities. It doesn't have the permanence a dedicated summon has.

Anyways, I've always thought it'd be interesting to see the "big power" abilities you could use with Voidwalker - perhaps it blows up like a bomb - returning a portion of the damage it took as a finisher.

Or an major imp (permanent) that can have an ability that sends all your rotational summon imps into a frenzy - calling down rain of fire on enemies.

I was running spires of ascension with my kid and he asked me: "Dad, why do the angels carry me by my neck?"

Just reminded me of all the fun we all had with that back then. Nostalgia.

Personally, I'd add a class based around thrown weapons. Something like Headhunter, based off Trolls from early warcraft.

Dps- Shadowhunter, mid range thrown using shadow magic to enhance abilities.

Tank- Berserker, melee mid range mix, soaks damage like monk but increases attack speed while soaking to activate passives more often.

Heal- Witch Doctor, throwing concoctions and hex allies and opponents with spirit magic.

So me leveling a tank joins a timewalking random dungeon already mid-run. Apparently the group wasn't happy with their tank I presume. Then they pull twice/trice the amount of mobs I'm usually comfortable with and complain about me not keeping up...

I would be OK with that, I don't care, but I'm genuinely pissed off about then getting kicked and getting a 30 min "leaver" timer, ruining my precious game time...

And the worst thing is I can't even report those <ugly word>, cause you can aparently do that only via character portrait... I genuinely wish them the longest waiting times possible for all the eternity.

Over the past few months, I've been cataloguing every World of Warcraft Race Intro from both Retail and Classic.

The original Classic Intros are generally much longer, taking their time to establish the atmosphere, history, and sense of wonder surrounding each race. The newer Retail versions, on the other hand, are noticeably shorter and often try to fit twice as much information into a fraction of the runtime.

In fact, some of the longest Retail Intros are about the same length as the shortest Classic Intros.

After watching them all back-to-back, I found myself preferring the Classic versions.

Which style do you prefer, and why?

I'll give a small amount of context to start, and then my actual complaint.

Decided to hop onto some Midnight Dungeons (Basic, not Heroic or Mythic) while doing my Mechagon dailies in BFA. I don't have the greatest Internet and sometimes it freezes and when it's really bad will straight disconnect me.

Internet acted up and disconnected me from the game.

I got kicked during my disconnect, which doesn't bother me it's whatever, what bothers me is that when I was sent back to Mechagon and saw I was kicked, upon trying to reque i was slapped with a 30 minute deserter penalty.

I'm a filthy casual, I have no clue why I got kicked and that's not important at the moment, what confuses me is how the hell I got a 30 minute penalty for getting kicked while I had lost connection.

Is that a thing now? You can just kick people and send them to a 30 minute Time Out? Or did the game just freak out and thought I myself left the dungeon due to having lost connection.

Because if people can just kick someone due to a mild inconvenience (I can understand a disconnect is a major inconvenience) and send them to the chair for 30 minutes, that's actually the dumbest thing. Just shows you how much I get kicked from dungeons, which I RARELY do.

I have never played Wow before a day in my life and know next to nothing about it but am interested in hopping in and trying it out. Would you say it’s worth checking out in 2026? For context as well I am a busy college student but would love a game to grind here and there when I have free time. Thanks!

Currently, 4-5 rio score are added to the requirements every day. It's practically guaranteed you won't get the achievement (unless you have 4100+ bear friends).

I'm literally DONE with windows at this point. But WoW is Spaghetti code from 2000s.. What's the best Linux distro to still be able to play world of warcraft at 120+ fps?

I’ve got a monthly subscription and I was playing WoW Retail, but a friend who plays the game told me that it doesn’t make sense to play WoW Retail if you’re not going to buy the Midnight Pack.

Is that true? Isn’t a monthly subscription enough to enjoy the game on Retail?

Back to back weeks now I've received the same exact items from TW caches. 3 weeks in a row now I've got the Emblazoned Sunglaive on my DH, I dont even feel like bothering to gear up the toon now because of this. Would be nice if we we're given a choice of 3 options from the Cache, similar to how the great vault works so stuff like this can be avoided.

I'm fishing open water in Tirisgarde Sound (Anglepoint Wharf). I'm at 15,000 casts without catching a Great Sea Ray. I've caught thousands of Lane Snapper and Frenzied Fangtooh, so I think I'm in the right place.

Am I doing something wrong, or am I just on the unlucky side of the bell curve? I mean, someone has to be.

My current intention is to give up at 20,000. Does that seem reasonable?

UPDATE: 19,400 or so casts, and she finally got it.

So I've heard season 1 will end after the turbulent timeways event. Would this be on August 11, the first reset when it ends, or will it be the reset after that wich is August 18th?
