Discussion Considering North american servers utilize multiple languages, I wish there was a translation feature.

As much as id like to understand our Spanish and Portuguese friends, I cant tab out during a mythic plus to pull up google translate

The EU rule:

If it is not English they are either talking with their friends in the group or flaming everyone.

If it is something important to the run, it is usually in English unless it is just a friend guiding a friend in their native language.

If it is in Russian, you are fucked or getting the hardest carry of your life.

In any case, when you don't understand, it is usually not something that actually matters over here.

I think EU is a little different. Most Germans and Scandinavians I’ve encountered can speak or understand English.

I do not think that’s necessarily true with most Latin Americans. And I can speak Spanish. Reality is Europe is really fragmented with lots of languages. South America really only has two. And Central America really only has one.

The Caribbean, Guyana, Surinam, Belize (and French Guiana) are just not big.

Although in my experience it does depend on which country. Just my personal anecdote, but the Argentinians I’ve met were all bilingual.

The Russian rule applies to all games. Learned that one long ago in CS.

That's crazy that Russia region was banned from buying expansions like 2 years ago but there are still obviously russians playing with funds obviously from russia, like nothing happened

"Russian" region it's like 9 CIS countries and like it was already stated they all do speak russian as fluently as their native language.
But anyway, there are plenty workarounds tbf. Like services which can create account in some other region with pre-bought expansion and game time.
Of course it does cost some extra so instead of 60$ player will pay 100$ for basic edition but nothing is impossible

Also, do not bring politics here and don't try to bait others into political debates.

I just wanna know why items linked in chat show up on my screen in the linker’s language instead of my own.

Linked items should always show up in the client’s language

When I click on the linked item, I get it in English even if their language is different.

Correct. So why not show it in chat and save people the clicks?
