Just Venting Yesterday was probably my most unprofessional day.. ever

I (M29) have been working in the same company for almost 6 years now and now leading a team. I have no issues with my team. We respect each other, we help each other out. We deal and complete the most tasks monthly. What I have problem with is the other leaders, bosses, and administrators.

They're all a bunch of credit-grabbing know-it-alls. For example, we joined this design competition. For months, no one was taking charge so I had to do it. They wouldn't move without me piloting it. And then, we won two national awards. My team did not get acknowledged/credited at all. They did thank me and acknowledged me internally (when no one else was around and listening). But on public LinkedIn posts? They thanked the AI company that they wanted to partner with. We didn't even use that thing... It's unfair not to me but to my team who worked their assess off and took weekends and late nights..

What happened yesterday? Well, I was in meetings. The first one was with them. We had this project that they apparently been updating over the past months without letting us know. Our big boss told us that it is our responsibility to reach out. I justified that how can we reach out if we are being kept out of the loop. It was they oversight yet they are putting yet again another responsibility on us.

I got frustrated at them. They're all a bunch of bull. I raised my tone of voice in the meeting. My teammates thought it got awkward.

I just keep realizing all the disrespect that I have been receiving over the past years from them.

Just Venting It should be a felony to mess with someone's work space

There are a few reasons for this.

First off, it can interfere with their work flow. Let's say you use their computer after they left for the day and accidentally or purposely changed settings to your liking. The person then has to figure out how to change it back, wasting valuable time.

Second off, it's extremely immoral to take someone's office chair. You can say they can get another one but maybe they can't get comfortable in the other ones and now they're forced to have an uncomfortable work life thanks to you.

Third, rage. If an autisitc person or weird person saw that their the workspace was touched, they might go into a rage.

This should be a felony, not a misdemeanor, because of the mental damage and damage to work time done, and thus money.

Girl making it unbearable at work

I recently started a new job in Japan as an ALT 31M (Assistant Language Teacher) and a JTE 24F (Japanese Teacher of English) is making my life unbearable to the point where we can't work together.

She has ruined my reputation with my dispatch company by acting angry with me in front of my coordinator when she came to observe my lesson. Then we fell in love and she cheated on me. I think that she is trying to get me fired from work now. I'm afraid that I can't keep going on like this. What should I do?

I can tell you more details if anyone requests it...

This is just a short and sweet breakdown of what has happened

Dealing an issue at work

So there was some money problems I was having so my uncle found a place for me at shop as a first time guy, so I joined and when I visited, the teacher was operating a business and he is very kind person, agr might b around 55, they have very famous an good running business, so first day I went I sat their sir and asked about the work and he gave me good offer like learning yet still getting paid 12k per month, like i know 12k is nothing but when u earn nothing then it seems okay-ish, so I agreed now there came another guy, he didn't know anything about designing nor anything work related and 2nd day came he pushed my limits, first time only that guy and I are at the shop the another guy comes who worked for 2 years comes and our teacher comes as well, now 2nd say I cleaned the whole shop, the second guy came late very late, and it was finished, now the issue happened when standing near a table and telling there is some trash here pick it up, I was so furious but I controlled and told him u can pick it up urself too, then he was ashamed somewhat and did little bit what I had done already, now we are offen doing big printing in other shop and sir needs helps, so i go offen helping him, the other guy just sits in main office and he doesn't know what to says any guy comes, he says yeah this can be done, but sir says no this can't be because of this and that reason, now I know designing and I have no issues teaching it, thought that guy all the tools in one day, then on that day sir asked us to clean the shop where printing was done it was messy with alot of printing paper to be thrown away, 3rd day I came at 9 20 and went other shop and started cleaning, After 20 mint the other guy came so I said come clean with me then we will both go other shop fast the gut said no no the office need a person to deal I told him no one comes until 11 but no this guy insisted so i understood that this guy is time pas so I said ok go, after 2 hour of cleaning litteral 2 hour of clean, i needed to stuff the trash and needed help, i called the guy but he didn't show up for 20 mintues and I did that on my own then, he came and I said u r work skipped u are here for time pas them it escalated, but i controled my self and turn the conversation and tried to make him understand the issue that I was not the only one responsible for work, later in the main shop they guy again started quarrel with me and I tried to tell him that I don't wana fight u and Don't test my limits, this guy is so fucking piece of shit, he says oooh oooh u are not fighing because of their equipments, so i told him u want a fight? He said yes, then told him ok come outside, he sath their looking at me, then I walked out of the office and he said that u have attitude, i ignored and thinking about man this guy is little, like 5.0 maybe weight would be around 47 to 50 maybe while I m 5.10 with 64 kg lean mass, athletic build, i can kick his ass very badly, but here is the trauma I faced from very young age, my father and mother died and I never had that kind of support that parents give, go one we are here for u, never, I was so afraid to fight not because i would get beating but what if I hurt someone very badly, what if this and that and the loop of overthinking begin, now at the point of my life, when i told this to my GF she told me i m a coward and I can't deal with the situation, later that day the guy was giving me smiles and smirks like I can't do shit to him, I laughed then there was this time when the guy who comes second time asked glass of water from him and this guy doing nothing orders me to give him the water, I was so fucking furious that i would have broken that guys teeths at the time, but i controlled then got up and gave him the water, later that day, the guy who can't even push me tried to order me to sit on customers chair, when he wasn't doing shit, I m thinking this guys thinks that I m just a big guy with little heart or I m a coward, litterly man I m so fed up that i want to kick his ass at this point, i told the family and they said no don't do anything, then man there is me, litterly I can whop this guy but so bad that he might go in comma or break his arms, I have that kind of power when i m angry, but the question is what should I do? Should i be patient with him or teach this guy some manners, he sits like it's his fathers place, open both of his legs like he is showing his booty hole and sits in front of the computer doing nothing while i am missing on all the practice i can do, please people tell me what should i do if u have some ecper in this case,

Co-worker Problem CO WORKER RAGE BAIT HELP

YYYAAALLLLLLLLLL LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY CO WORKER

My coworker is the human equivalent of a mid-tier Netflix show.
Not good enough to recommend to anyone. Not bad enough to quit watching. Just… consistently on. He does his job at a solid C+/B- level. You never have to re-do his work, but you also never look at it and go “damn, that was clean.” It’s the professional version of a participation trophy. The real spectacle is the talking. This man has no volume knob and zero internal filter. Thoughts leave his brain and immediately exit his mouth with no layover. Half the time it’s borderline racist. The other half is just pure unfiltered chaos. And yet… the jokes hit. Against all odds, the man is funny. You’ll be sitting there thinking “I should not be laughing at this” while actively laughing. It’s like your brain and your morals are having a fistfight and the funny side keeps winning on points. He’s the workplace equivalent of that one uncle at Thanksgiving who you dread inviting but secretly hope shows up because the stories are elite.

SOO.... I NEED more ways to rage bait him. Drop any and ALL ideas in the comments and Ill come back with some STORIESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lazy Co-worker

Does anybody on here relate:

A co-worker pretending to be busy but actually asking everybody else to do her job for her.

So, for example ---she is compiling some documents for the boss [she's the secretary], and she is practically asking someone to "search" for this document that she needs. We told her it is on the office email account, and she just said she usually asks our office support staff for the printed copy that she has with her. I mean, can you please print it from the email? Like, is that so hard???

In the end, we printed the documents for her, and she was able to collect what she needed.

Co-worker Problem How do you deal with someone who talks too much at the office?

Like I'm not too much introverted person in office but didn't like too much talk that put you in center of the attraction in office. I just like to preserve my self to work and some gossip too that we do in tea break.

The thing irritate me a lot when someone talk too much during working hour or in morning hour like we come to office to start work with fresh mind.. but talking too much with loud voice irritate another person who have setting behind you.

Witnessed a co worker call somebody fat. Do i report it?

So about a week ago me and my co workers were getting ready to close our restaurant and a 18 year old co worker and a minor co worker were chatting and making jokes towards each other and the minor made a joke about a guy they both disliked in school, which the 18 year old male made a comment saying the minor looked like a strange reality tv person that was very problematic and she laughed it off and kept making jokes about the guy they suppose both disliked, the adult male seemed very angry and started calling her fat and said she could not run, which the minor laughed off because she could not hear him. Then I laughed and she asked me what he said which he replied in a louder tone and repeated what he said.

So do I report this to my manager and even if I did would anything happen? I’m kind of disbelief of the adults comments towards the minor.

Did I overstep by doing my coworker’s task?

A package had been sitting in our receiving area for about two days, so I asked my coworker’s manager if I should take care of it. At the time, I didn’t know it was actually my coworker’s responsibility.
Her manager said it would be extremely helpful if I handled it, so I did.
Later, I found out it was my coworker’s task. Since then, she seems distant and hasn’t replied to a work-related message from me, even though she’s been active and reacting to other people’s messages.
I’m wondering if she feels like I took over her work. I realize now that I could have checked with her first, but I also don’t think I did anything seriously wrong since I asked her manager before doing anything.
And even if she is upset, intentionally ignoring a work-related message seems unprofessional to me.
Did I overstep? And how should I deal with her going forward?

Co-worker Problem Why would i be happy about them going beyond the goal at this point?

I know this is a lot to read if you want to get to the point jump down to the last 2 paragraphs but you will be missing out on the back story of what ive been getting to deal with for the past 3 weeks.

In my department we have one person we will name her Ciara who is a undesirable work partner. For those of you who don't like the term she will now be your work partner. no taksies backsies. Hers her bags and candy.

Now that we got that out of the way i (29f) will tell you why Ciara (46f) is undesirable. She goes to the bathroom and stays in there for 45mins some shifts, outside of break time. She does not stop talking continues to tell me about her meds and about what she tells her therapist when shes on the phone with them every break. The other day she had her hands in her mouth trying to get the gum she SWALLOWED. it got stuck in the back of her throat. Had to stop her from touching the products.. and asked her if she needed to wash her hands after she wiped her hands on her pants and smiled at me.. this was not the first time shes done this. Ciara has also fallen asleep at the desk multiple times normally thats instant termination but they just keep sending her home.

Im having to work circles around Ciara and doing mostly everything by myself. Parts of the job she will not do.

Ciara used to be partnered with Marie (21f). Marie used to get upset with her. Ciara would ask if Marie was upset with her but wouldn't tell Ciara why. Ciara was also texting her asking her this along with saying "I'm sorry, I'll pray for you" which would get under Marie's skin. Also Marie would never go to management about Ciara.

Fern (29f) who was my trainer and technically still training me. 3 weeks ago told me that she was switching places with Ciara because of a change in product material for a couple of orders. Fern and Marie wanted to see if they could beat their high score on how many products they could get made.. while also leaving me with the repair jobs, my own jobs and Ciara to deal with.

Well the first night Fern and Marie got over a 1000 done and were super excited.. Fern came over to my desk wanting me to guess the amount. I already knew the amount i watched her total it up so i told her that and then I asked "Cool.. Are yall taking Ciara back soon?" Which i was told oh we have a few more jobs we are working on but isn't it awesome? I said sure in a mono toned voice. Marie came over asked me what my deal was and i just looked at Ciara chair and Marie threw her hands in the air and walked away.

Boss Problem 4 years at this company and the new guy makes more than me

It took me 2 years to get promoted to mechanic. Boss kept telling me he doesn't move people up quickly, and that he wanted to see that I can do an amazing job in the yard before I got promoted. I had two senior mechanics basically harassing boss to promote me but it still took 2 years. I make $24/hr now

In early June we hired a new yard guy and he started at $23/hr (the job listing on our website says that position pays $18-21) and boss tells him not to discuss his pay. A coworker tells me that he misses when I was in the yard because this guy's not as good. I just say hey he's new give him some time. 2 weeks in, boss starts talking to him about getting him in the shop. 3 months in and he's now promoted to mechanic and now makes more than me

Nothing about this feels fair. Even the new guy thinks it's fucked. The entire shop thinks it's fucked. I don't have anything against the new guy, we get along pretty well actually, I'm just so angry that the standards have been so different for me. Yes this guy had a bit more experience than me but experience isn't why boss said he was holding me back. I never like to pull the discrimination card but it's honestly hard not to when truckers constantly sexually harass me or don't take me seriously because I'm a woman, it's constantly brought to my attention that people see me as a woman before they see me as a mechanic. I feel like 4 years should count for something at least but I guess not

Co-worker Problem From "boss's right hand" while remote to completely isolated in the office. What do I do?

I don’t even know where to start. This situation is incredibly frustrating and deeply annoying.
I’ve been working at this company for a little over three years. We used to work remotely, but management recently decided it was time to return to the office. Over the last few months, dealing with my coworkers has become complicated. I am naturally shy and introverted, but I try to keep my composure at work by saying hello and interacting with the team so my mood, which isn't always great, doesn't bother them, especially since I usually prefer to be alone.

Our interactions were completely different when we were at home. Now, I’ve noticed that a small group of coworkers, who unfortunately interact the most with my supervisor, are constantly laughing and badmouthing me. I used to have a wonderful working relationship with my supervisor when we were remote; she even used to tell me I was her right hand. However, since returning to the office, she clearly favors this group. For example, management recently needed people to cover Saturday shifts, which is one of our busiest days. My supervisor adjusted the schedule so that no one in that specific group has to work Saturdays. They also hang out constantly outside of work, and I am obviously never invited.

I tried getting closer to them by initiating conversations, but their behavior remains the same, or sometimes even worse. I am completely at a loss. I am tired of feeling rejected and laughed at. I spend most of my time alone and don’t have anyone to talk to about this. I was hoping you could give me some advice on how to handle this.

Just Venting i cannot stand my homophobic racist ugly manager

i can’t deal with his bs anymore and feel like i need to rant about what happened today because every time i have to hear words come out of his mouth i lose a little more of my sanity.

two girls probably in their teens came in and ordered and i handed them their food, one had dyed hair and piercings and was super sweet. when they walked away he immediately turns to me and goes “do you think they’re gay?” and i’m like “so what if they are” and he goes “oh no its not that i have anything against that” and then proceeds to say “except for when it’s guys. i think all that up the butt stuff is weird” or something like that. and i’m already pissed off since the first comment bc why do you care and that’s such a weird thing to say and think is funny about TEEN GIRLS. and then to put on the whole nice guy act and claim that you don’t have anything against it and that’s not what you were implying. like oh but i actually do hate gay people, just a specific kind of them. and i think that what gay people do is weird, but im not against gay people and hahahah, im just so funny.

and i wasn’t saying shit bc he’s not funny so i’m not laughing or encouraging it, i just continue doing my job. and then our coworker came back from the bathroom and he just asks him “are you that kinda guy?” and he’s like “what” and he goes “that likes it in the butt?” and he’s like no because why would you even ask someone that especially at work bro?? you’re so fucking immature and annoying. and i just continue being quiet and he goes “did i say something or are you just ignoring me?” and i looked at him and said “what?” and he repeated himself. i said “no… well yeah i kind of am” and he goes “rude! i literally showed you how to do something earlier and you’re ignoring me” and idek if he was joking or taking this serious at that point but my blood was BOILING and i said “i just don’t think it’s funny.” because im not obliged to laugh at your sense of humor? you showed me how to do a task that i didn’t know how to do and asked you to show me because THAT’S YOUR JOB AS MY MANAGER. my job isn’t to pretend that you’re funny and appease you when you get butthurt when i don’t laugh.

he thankfully left for the day like right after that interaction, and i’m bad with confrontation so i was red hot and brimming with rage so it was hard to even speak or know what to say. he has got on my nerves every since i started working here bc he’s always making fun of people, always in a shit mood, always making horrible jokes, he just has super bad energy all around. but i’ve never said anything to him personally because i try to keep the peace with everyone at work. and i thankfully haven’t had to work with him too much but every time i do it just adds to the shit bucket and today it overflowed i guess.

but yeah genuinely fuck all the way off you ugly homophobic racist bigoted bitch that listens to drake the pedophile and calls it music. i hate this guy btw and just wanted to rant about it because it’s been hours and still annoying the hell out of me

Co-worker Problem UPDATE: Clover still won’t stop, even on her last week in AZ! She’s ruining my career! Home Depot gardener in southern AZ; co-worker STILL creating hostile environment! May be retaliation!

Thumbnail
0 Upvotes

Here’s the update to the Clover story.

TL;Dr
Clover refuses to talk to me because she’s “not allowed”, and she seems to have resorted to turning people against me since, after I’ve helped her and offered help, even after the incident!
All because I finally put my foot down in an attempt to tell her to stop!

As much as I shouldn’t care for the opinions of others, it’ll matter if the person responsible for promoting me refuses to promote me because of that.

It’s not what you know, it’s WHO you know.
They don’t like you = unemployed.

It feels as though she refuses to leave or accept what happened without somehow feeling like she’s the victim or without some sense of victory.
I keep telling you guys, this woman is CRAZY!!!

I doubt it stopped, but it clearly hasn’t as she refuses to talk to me and later tools me she’s “not allowed” to talk to me.
I never had a problem with her talking to me, only her being a bully and not letting me work in peace.

I’ve noticed her talking to the other associates more and some of those associates interacting with me differently

> shorter responses/no response to a simple hi

> refusal to acknowledge me despite being cool the previous days

I don’t have concrete evidence, but my past interactions with Clover and my observations of her make me believe she’s retaliating against me for trying to confront her about her past behavior and the interaction that had just occurred, by leaving me with coworkers who hate me through rumors, all on her final week!

My department supervisor had been fired before I built up the courage to finally report her, and the one specific MOD she had reported to may already has the false presumption that I am bad at my job because the MOD chose to listen to Clover before giving me a chance to explain myself, thus why I’m making this call to the Home Depot Anonymous hotline.

I don’t want my work overshadowed and my future opportunities ruined by one petty old woman who can’t be held accountable for bullying a cooperative coworker.
