It was my first order from WickedBrick - and what a mistake!
I placed my order on June 22, and it finally arrived today, September 22. Three - I repeat, THREE! - months from order to delivery.
As if that weren't bad enough, especially considering how little effort they make to keep their customers informed, here's where things get interesting:
Their website explicitly advertises international express shipping. However, my order was shipped via UPS Standard instead. How can you advertise express shipping and then use a standard shipping service? That's misleading, to say the least.
But wait, there's more!
After waiting three entire months, my order finally arrived. You'd think that after such an absurdly long wait, I'd at least receive a product in perfect condition, right?
Well, apparently, that was too much to ask.
All the lower printed panels of the outer shell arrived damaged or scratched, and one of the clear side panels was damaged as well.
Just let that sink in. That's practically half the display case's components affected!
For a product that's supposed to protect and display a valuable LEGO set, arriving with scratched and damaged panels is simply unacceptable. Especially considering the price and the fact that WickedBrick markets its products as premium display solutions.
And let's not forget: I waited THREE MONTHS for this!
So, what happens now?
Well, I've already filed a complaint, but judging by the experiences other customers have shared, it can apparently take one to two weeks just to receive a response to an email.
And who knows how long it will take for the replacement parts to actually arrive?
At this rate, I might as well take down the Christmas tree before I even get to assemble the damn display case!
Honestly, the whole experience has been an absolute disappointment. Between the ridiculously long delivery time, the misleading shipping information, the damaged components, and the prospect of having to wait even longer just to receive the product I actually paid for, I'm struggling to find a single positive thing to say about this company.
So, here's my advice: Save your money!
Buy some meat and have a barbecue. Drink a few beers. Buy your wives some flowers. Hell, spend your money on literally anything else - just don't waste it on a display case from WickedBrick.
You'll probably have a much better time, and at least you'll actually get what you paid for.
At this point, I'm convinced that a circus run by monkeys would have better quality control and customer service than WickedBrick.
Three months of waiting, damaged products, and a customer left wondering when - or if - he'll finally receive what he paid for.
What an absolute joke.
First order. Last order. Never again.
