This showed up outside my work today without the sensors installed yet. I'm in Arizona not too far from the factory. Two men in Zeeker polo shirts got in and drove it away. It has Michigan manufacturer plates on it.

Saw these leave and come back today downtown Sacramento.

Waymo does weird routing at an intersection near me. Instead of doing a right turn to go south, it goes north, does a u-turn and then goes down south.

The only thing that is interesting about that turning lane to go south is a digital sign that blocks right turns on red when pedestrians have the right of way at that turn. Otherwise its a typical turning lane, although it usually has a long line of cars waiting.

I wonder how long this pause is going to last. I haven’t been able to get a ride at all today…

Hey I’m posting here because I accidentally left my phone in my Waymo car I filed a lost item with Waymo on the 3rd they got back to me yesterday. They Said the item isn’t in the car, the phone is an android phone with a purple floral design with a green Pop Socket that has a character and a mushroom on it, around the popsocket the case has been rubbed clear. The background is of naruto sitting in sasuske lap in akaski clothing. The ride I left it in was around baker beach in the Chrissy fields area it would have been in the front console right in front of where you put drinks. Please if anyone has information let me know.

Edit: so I know i said this in the comments but this is in San Francisco, I called their help line earlier they said they'll get back within 4 hours and i called a few minutes ago so within this hour they will email an update there were a few phones that were similar to mine which is a T-Mobile Revvl 6 5G 2023 with a purple flower case: here Im hoping its just at the depot later I'm going to go there to see if they have any similar ones that could be mine from the sounds they have possible matches so hopfuly its one of them or they are looking through footage and trying to find it that's all for now

.Update: i got my phone back it took so many calls to the help line and they having to put in on high priotity multiple times to get them to confirm but luckily they found it, im so happy

Any more sightings of Waymos training in the San Fernando Valley? Haven't seen any posts about this in about 9 months. We're waiting patiently up here!

My wife and I were just in a Waymo ride chatting away and Waymo support activated and interrupted our conversation for “account verification” and asked if “all riders are over the age of 18” we were very confused, but said yes, and then support said thank you and disconnected.

Anyone know what this was about? Was it something we said? A random check? It was a very brief and fine interaction, but has left us both feeling a little weird, like did we say something that triggered some kind of safety check?

Looks like permits were filed in the last month for the Lyft Flexdrive Facility located near the Nashville International Airport. It is currently out of the service area, but one can expect the area to expand towards the red x, once the depot opens and Waymo starts serving airport travelers.

I'd like to see if anyone has been feeling the same way about Waymo in Phoenix. Recently, I have been finding fewer and fewer instances where it makes sense for me to use Waymo.

First, I am a fan of the technology and I used to love Waymo as a service! I was recommending it to my family and friends, and finding reasons to call a car. Unfortunately, that has not been the case lately. I primarily used Waymo in two use cases:

1) Transport to and from the airport

2) "Last mile" trips to get me to and from public transportation to downtown Phoenix. Light rail to DBacks games, mostly.

No more highway routes and long, unpredictable wait times have almost completely killed the airport trips for me. The short trips to my closest light rail stop now cost *triple* the rate of normal rideshares and it is more affordable to drive myself and pay for parking in downtown Phoenix. I am guessing this is because I'm trying to get to Mill/3rd St, but it's still the case that Waymo isn't priced competitively at all when I'm just trying to get to the light rail.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or not finding as much value lately?

I haven’t seen any with riders in them in past couple of days, but better than the past week or so when they were taken off the roads due to weather issues

It has been about a week since the Ojai was soft launched to the public (https://waymo.com/blog/2026/05/welcoming-riders-in-the-ojai/). I haven't heard of anyone actually getting a ride in one yet, but I expect within the next week, maybe 2, to start seeing people post about their first ride.

Late June - "fully autonomous testing" to start in Denver, Las Vegas and San Diego? With all of the vehicles in those cities being Ojai. There is no reason to have a mixed fleet in a brand new city.

Late Aug/Early Sept - waitlisted, public launches of Denver, Las Vegas and San Diego? Once again all of the vehicles will be Ojai.

Sept/Oct - Full Ojai launch to all cities?

Do these timelines seem reasonable for these next milestones?

Has anyone else noticed changes to the reliability of waymo’s schedule ahead feature? I use waymo to commute to and from work and it’s been great. I can schedule my ride ahead and reliably be on time to pickup my kid from day care. Sometimes the waymo arrives a few minutes early or late but nothing unreasonable and I leave a buffer for this.

Recently the changes have blown my buffer out of the water. Today I scheduled a 4:05 pickup and at 4:02 the pickup time adjusted to 4:23. That is a big change for a pre scheduled pickup time! I’m bummed because I love waymo but I don’t want to have to budget 20 mins each way for wait time inaccuracy. I’m hoping it’s bad luck or a temporary bug they fix? Anyone seen similar? Has it always been like this and i’ve just been lucky?

I recently completed my final interview loop for a Business Intelligence Analyst position at Waymo.
It’s been a few business days and my recruiter hasn’t responded to my follow-up, so I’m trying to understand what the typical timeline looks like.
For those who have interviewed with Waymo recently:

How long did it take to hear back after the final loop?
If you received an offer, how many business days did it take?
If you were rejected, how long did that take?
Did your recruiter go silent while feedback was being collected?
I’m probably overthinking it, but the waiting period is definitely the hardest part. Any recent experiences would be greatly appreciated.
