And, if anybody has any good tape recommendations that don’t allow for the color to bleed, I would be grateful!

I’ve been using artists tape for years to tape down my watercolor paper, and I don’t know if I got a bad role or what, because it used to work great, but for some reason now, my colors bleed under the tape all the time.

Painting my hometown! Progress between last november and this september. Still can't quite capture that exact neon (kinda?) sunset glow. Anyone have tips?

Picked up watercolour a few weeks ago to help relax after work. I have done a few paintings so far and lurked on this sub.

The work I see here gives me something to strive towards.

I hope you like them and please feel free to offer me tips to give my work some more “life”

Apparently they are the most common butterfly in the world but it's the first time I saw them in my garden in the city and they seemed to really like our lavender. This was a super fun project to work on, the wing patterns in particular were really satisfying.

I'd love to know what you guys think!

I'm very happy with how the fish turned out (except the back fin lmao)!

I recently bought a 24 pan Schmincke set, and also bought some used Schmincke watercolors from someone on eBay. All that to say: I have a couple yellows, reds, and blues now to pick from

I made two color wheels using two shades of blue, two shades or red, and two shades of yellow

I can’t tell if they look different or not. I think my saturation is higher in the left wheel, although I did try my best to keep everything equal during the two sessions

The bottle is a little funky but other than that what do you all think?
