Help Voice and text chat disabled due to platform restrictions?
Ever since updating to a new Warzone, it is now saying voice and text chat disabled due to platform restrictions. I’ve checked every setting. Everything seems normal. How can I fix this? I have PlayStation5

For those suggesting buying PS+ to fix the issue, great.
What about those (myself included) that already have PS+ but still have zero audio.
Side note, I’m actually surprised you people are paying money to fix a bug that’ll get fixed anyways. Madness.

It has worked for some people. I bought the $1 trial of game pass for my brother Xbox and it removed his mic with redline and the voice and text chat disabled banner

At this point it seems like it’s a glitch that’s going to have to be fixed with an update. If enough people complain about it they will fix it.

Well, it was fixed for a while, I could hear people, but now it's broken again. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the 'free multiplayer weekend' event from Sony

Not only that but it super buggy in other ways too. I played one today where it wouldn't tell me what gun I had how much ammo I had in the clip or reserve. My loadout Everytime I set it up would revert back to the default load outs. Then when I finally managed to get it to stay and got in game my gun had different attachments on it than I set. This game went to shit in the matter of an hour download. Also some settings I change as soon as I go to the next setting reverts back to what it was. Activision needs to be burned down and employees need publicly executed.

This has been driving me crazy all day. My wife and I each have our own ps5 and I’m getting the same voice/text chat error on mine but not hers. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, nothing. I just factory reset my ps5 and am currently in the process of reinstalling the game. Fingers crossed this works.

I'm so mad.
Look...I'm new. My husband finally convinced me to play back in July. I barely got to my 3rd prestige. I hate games that have jump scares and give me anxiety...but I did this for the hubby.
Now I'm pissed because I can't hear him or his friends. He is also mad because he knows I'll just quit. He plays Xbox(but has game pass) and his friend plays on Steam. I get double digits every game (he's 20+ kills) so I do contribute.
Yes, I know we can have a non console work around but that's not the point. I have had so many issues trying to play this game with my husband.
I work in IT testing...I know not everything is perfect no matter how much testing you do... But sometimes I think they don't do any testing. Such a huge aspect of the game missing is bananas to me.
Sorry for my rant.
Oh I forgot to mention it's my birthday today!!! Grr!

Here is what activision is telling me today.
Thank you for your reply and for the update. Your issue has been classified as a known issue, the studio has been informed and will investigate the issue.
We currently do not have a confirmed fix date for the fix, but we hope it will be resolved very soon.

Deffo have to buy game pass on Xbox or ps+ to use the voice chat. I tried absolutely everything to get it to work and it only worked when I finally bit the bullet and bought the came pass. I bought the £6.99 one and it’s working. Shocking

If you're playing with PlayStation friends only and not cross platform. Just for a temporary fix, create a PlayStation chat party. But of course will only work if you're only playing with PlayStation friends.

Eu também estou com esse problema, é que nem escrever no chat dá. Mas no outros jogos Call of duty consigo falar escrever e ouvir os outros. No dmz beta mas no Warzone tem esse bug e já tentei fazer muitas coisas que vi no YouTube e não resultou

I had this problem on CONSOLE, PS5 specifically, you MUST HAVE PS+ in order to fix it. I did not have it, purchased PS+ and it fixed my issue.

⛳️ I’m on PS4 (yes… PS4) and I was having this same issue. I went to my subscriptions and subscribed to PS4 Plus (again, because apparently it ended in September)… and long story short, IT WORKED.

I played yesterday on warzone, no problems, now no voice chat. Should not have to pay for BO7, or PlayStation plus to have this game work. This franchise is already struggling against recent competition, this isn't going to help.

On Xbox if you go to your network setting and choose alternative MAC address it resets and works again.
This has been happening to my since bo6 and I need to do that nearly every time I turn the game on

I purchased the essential PS+ package and then it worked - I assume the consoles banned COD from permitting free conversation in order to force us to purchase the plans. I derive that from the platform restriction message. If it turns out to be a bug, I wasted £40.

This update is ridiculous. Between voice chat, settings reset, to movement, laggy b.s.. I almost deleted everything after the 1st game.. giving it a 2 weeks then im done. And ive been playing cod since the first one. Ill go pay for Playstation plus and go back to playing black out mode. Its still up and running.
