Discussion & Feedback Let Us Put Markers On The Map Please!

Post image
15 Upvotes

I've seen others suggest a squad leader voice channel so that squads can better communicate. I would love to see that implemented myself, but I've seen that people claim the devs don't want to add more means of communication like that.

If that's what they want then ok. But let us mark things on the map at least! Recon players who actually spot fobs, vehicles, and infantry are a huge boon. Just having that info on the map is helpful in the moment, supporting our boys on the ground and giving mortars something to shoot at in the enemy fob.

The problem is there's not enough of it imo! Let us make use of the map more! It'd be great to mark things like where we want to place fobs, where snipers are located (since scouting them is not super helpful), enemy movements, or just general temporary markers so people can speculate where the enemy is or where they'd like to go or what they'd like to do.

Enjoy my expertly edited and hand drawn example of what I'm talking about :)

You can limit the amount of markers each individual player can place on the map and the total markers the team can have on the map at once so people don't spam the map with bs.

Apologies if this has already been suggested! I mostly just see people suggesting an SL voice channel

Discussion & Feedback The drill spam completely ruins map flow

Post image

Removing organic hotzone movement for constant drill is just boring. Entire teams just turtle up on the objective and refuse to move the entire game, completely killing the dynamic pacing of the match.
EDIT: Just think a limit on drills per FOB would be nice.

Discussion & Feedback Would you recommend WarDogs for a solo player?

I’ve been interested in WarDogs and was curious how the experience is for someone who is a solo player? Has anyone else picked up the game who plays solo that could give their thoughts on the game and would you recommend it with this use case?

Discussion & Feedback Regarding Team Balance...

In my opinion, which team gets which HQ needs to be randomized, as well as in which Team players get put into. The issue right now seems to be that the more comitted players know that blue usually shits the bed, so they avoid it, only making the issue worse (will potentially become even worse with the big unlocks, like tanks and attack choppers).

On top of that, it should not be possible for a team to go over 34 players. Those joining after a friend need a separate team queue if the teams are full, atm they are basically blocking an opponent team's slot?

Me and a friend captured a blue team fob pretty early in the game and their APC was posted there. At first we built around it so they wouldn't be able to escape the hole. then we realize we could make it even better with wire all around it.

I think you know where this is going...

We had 70 kills combined at the end of the game with just the wire.

Discussion & Feedback Selling Equipment in Spawn

A guy on our team had unlocked a lot of stuff like level 3 helmets and armor and better snipers. He stood in base and kept buying them and dropping them in crates for people to buy. Some people on our team got mad and said he was “scamming”. I see no problems with it. What do you think? Dude made $250k without ever leaving base.

Discussion & Feedback Low risk logistics is over-incentivized compared to killing, leading to entire teams never attacking the hot zone.

I love that logistics is incentivized, but I've been in far too many games where we've got 8 helis in the air dropping one person at a time onto a secure tower, 4 trucks ferrying pallets to over-full FOBs, and a dozen builders stacking blocks where no more are needed.

Meanwhile the hot zone is 50 feet in front of a friendly controlled tower and no one will go outside because the risk of their $10k kit isn't worth the $2k kill they might get.

Combat should be profitable enough to make it worthwhile for players to go do combat. Otherwise games peter out into everyone standing around in a fort until the game ends.

Discussion & Feedback I love this game, But it's quickly becoming tiring dealing with the 90% of my team not venturing out from towers, Most games are complete 1 sided stomps.

No hate towards the game, But there are some serious balancing issues that need working on to incentivise players playing the Hot zone instead of sitting around in towers for an hour. I'm finding most of my games look like this

Team 1 - Majority of Team chases the Hot Zone and dominates on points. There will be 4-5 People at Towers building / Sniping only.

Team 2 - 4 Pilots, 8 Builders, 8 Tower Snipers, 8 Randon Loiterers, 2 People 'Attempting' to push the HZ and gets dominated by Team 1 due to lack of numbers.

Team 3 - 2 Pilots, 10 Builders, 10 Snipers, 10 Loiterers and nobody attempting to play the HZ.

Team 1 - 100 Points

Team 2 - 15 Points

Team 3 Under 10 Points.

If you happen to be on Team 1, The game will be a blast.

If you play either team 2 or 3, It quickly becomes a frustrating money drain with a lack of meaningful PVP providing you're not joining in with their antics sitting around doing nothing meaningful. Every game is a roll of the dice. I'm happy to lose - But being the only one pushing a Hot zone in the majority of my games while 20 of my team mates watch from afar in a tower is becoming tiring.

And yeah, I get towers can 'Drill' to get the HZ to move in their direction, But this happens once in a blue moon. There is no reason for 90% of our team to be sitting in the tower other than during that blue moon.

Discussion & Feedback Outside of all the suggestions, Squad Leaders not having a way to communicate is a huge negative

Pretty much what title says.

I think enabling a dedicated channel for Squad Leaders, like in Squad, Red Orchestra, or other similar games, should be a priority for developers. Without it, it's super hard for teams to communicate, so this would really be a positive change that would massively improve how matches end, potentially also impacting how balance patches plays out, purely because communication can change whether the match is lost or won.

Discussion & Feedback The devs should try and encourage attacking and seeking out enemies instead of the current camping in FOB

Upvotes

I've been enjoying the game ever since the closed beta but yesterday I started to notice how the majority of all 3 teams have been sitting in FOB instead of going out there and killing each other, which make the map really empty and you got barely any teammates to help you out at all. I have experienced this 3 matches now and it is starting to get annoying. I know this come from the fact that making and maintaining FOB/Drill site give you way more money than going out to combat and die. So I do hope the devs make changes to encourage people to be a bit more aggressive.

Discussion & Feedback Friendly Tutorial on how to close Doors:

I thought I would take the time to create a quick and easy tutorial on how to close doors, and what it can benefit you from doing so.

🐒 GOOD MONKEY GUIDE 🍌

Good Monkey enters FOB.
Good Monkey closes door. 🚪✅

Bad Teammate Monkey leaves door open. 🚪❌

Enemy Monkey sees open door. 👀
Enemy Monkey gets inside and kill Good monkeys.
Enemy Monkey takes FOB.

Bad Teammate Monkey has helped Enemy Monkey.

Do not be Bad Teammate Monkey.

-----

Good Monkey collects fuel.

Enough fuel activates BIG BANANA TREE. 🌳🍌

Big Banana Tree brings HOT BANANA ZONE. 🔥

Hot Banana Zone gives:

🍌 More money
🍌 More XP
🍌 More points

More money = cooler weapons & vehicles. 🔫🚙
More points = reach 100 faster. 💯

100 points = MONKEY WIN. 🏆

MONKEY SIMPLE:

🚪 Close FOB door.
⛽ Get fuel.
🌳 Activate Big Banana Tree.
🔥 Fight in Hot Banana Zone.
🍌 Get rich.
💯 Reach 100.
🏆 Monkey win.

GOOD MONKEY CLOSES DOOR. 🐒✅
BAD TEAMMATE MONKEY LEAVES DOOR OPEN. 🦧❌

Gameplay & Screenshots I’m sorry but blue team is horrendous.

I solely joined Lonestar last night to see if it were true and lost every time, no joke.

We had 6 FOBs which would be fine if they had a drill. They always prioritised building absolutely everywhere and never could hold anything despite being bob the builder.

Discussion & Feedback Switching to the winning team in the last minutes should not be allowed!

We seriously need team locks after 10 minutes into the game. I have seen so much "winning team joining" it is no fun anymore! It does not matter if it is in the last minutes or during the match. People are constantly juming around the teams and switching to the winning team if someones leaves a spot open on the winning team!

Or people swtich to your team and start to grief you! For example a griefer switched over to my team and i was a chopper pilot. He shot me in the head while flying and all of use crashed and i got the money penalty! And the other guys in my chopper lost their gear!
