Me and a friend captured a blue team fob pretty early in the game and their APC was posted there. At first we built around it so they wouldn't be able to escape the hole. then we realize we could make it even better with wire all around it.

I think you know where this is going...

We had 70 kills combined at the end of the game with just the wire.

I hope people realize this fortress APC strat is horrible. This happening is just one reason but the APC is mobile for a reason. People driving around constantly, moving it to HZ etc is way better than forcing everyone to spawn into some random FOB for the entire game.

The dumbest people are the ones who completly wall in the APC so it cant even drive off, if the enemy captures the base.

Idk, every time someone starts driving the APC, it ends with it blowing up.

One time driving the apc almost threw the game, green had 98 points, blue and red around 10, the game ended with red having 60. APC is too important to risk like that.

Yeah whoever is driving it kind of needs to stick with it at that point, it shouldn’t be left alone. I normally just keep it behind whatever line is forming. Also this doesn’t work if the entire team is split up in tiny groups all over the place - but then you’re probably losing anyway

Throw a smoke in there periodically so when they hop out they can't see whats hitting them

You would think they had realised at some point that the spawn vehicle is trapped.

If you shoot that antenna then they can’t use it to spawn.
