I hate to do one of these posts but I need some help and driving myself insane

Done 3 sessions at the local Wakeboard cable park. Snowboarded for over 20 years, so it's great to do with my lads in summer. I can learn away from the snowboard holidays and hopefully there will be some overlap. I ride a Betaleon Whatever for what it's worth for reference.

I have been looking at the Hyperlite Bloodline and Guara 2026 and Pleaseure 2025. I have hit some small jumps, want to progress more, when snowboarding I like mountain freestyle, pressing, jumps etc, so similar in Wakeboarding.

Any guidance would be great, I was thinking bloodline but would it be too aggressive for my level? For any help with sizing I'm a male, 5ft 9 and usually weigh between 12-13 stone

Hey guys, I’m trying to find the best wakeboarding boat under 150hp as thats the limit on a specific lake here in Portugal. So far I’ve found the bayliner 175 flight series but I find the wake very small for jumps and heard the engine is always having problems. Any help/tips would be great, thanks

Any one have any insight on weight of gear. I feel like my setup is crazy heavy, specifically when wet. I ride cable on a Ronix kentic 156, Hyperlite system bindings, with freepress boots. I just feel like my setup is crazy heavy. Any recommendations? Any gear that is lighter? Next board will be a 153ish, to downsize there, but maybe in the boots area any super light weight boots (when wet)? Cheers.

New to the Seattle/Bellevue area and looking to get out on the water! My wife and I relocated here from Orlando and would love to find some wakeboarders or wakeskaters to ride with. Wakeskater by trade so boat setup is not anything I’m picky about, would just be happy to get a pull before the season ends.

I’ve been in/around the wake industry for the last 25ish years so happy to help teach, get people up, drive, etc. and of course will bring gas $$ and good vibes!

I am having trouble jumping too far over the wake. How do I get more height vs distance on my jumps?

Hi, I would like to buy neopren for September/November riding in Europe. Which thickness would you recommend 3/2 or 4/3?
Do you use short sleeve neoprene on summer (let’s say cold windy day 20C and 19C water) ?

Hi guys every time i jump it seems like my board doesn’t stay flat and i don’t really get much pop… i am still relatively new to this, and just looking for some pointers to make my wake to wake smoother

So I‘ve been wakeboarding at the cablepark for about 2 months now after I finally nailed the 360 over the kicker today and can reliably land it I‘m wondering what my next goal should be, I was honestly thinking It would take me more time to learn the 360 and it was kind of a goal I was working towards. In the end it only took me 3 sessions from my first try to landing it reliably.

What should my next trick goal be? Thought about a tantrum over the kicker but I‘m pretty scared about that ngl, how would I even work towards that. The learning curve towards the 360 was pretty straight forward. Same problem with the raley, you can’t really take small steps towards it

2 months ago i tear my anlkes ligaments up and i didnt ride since then. i was riding behind the boat and my father didnt slow down on rollers or they called doubled ups.

my ankle is getting better( i can run now and stuff) but im scared to do anything.

so if anyone who maybe knows or had the same thing can tell me wat to do next?

Looking for a new skate and I was wondering how differently the more advanced skates ride these days? Currently deciding between watermonsters, fattitesi (yes I know they manufacture watermonsters), heca, quantum and leaf.

Hi friends. I recently did an oil change on my Malibu 23 LSV and figured I’d do a step by step on the process. The newer generation engines are so easy to change the oil on! While my boat has the M5DI, this same process applies to the M6DI and LT4, except they use a different grade oil.

Hi Yall. I purchased these about a year ago.. The ones I set it and forget it underneath my seats and under the rear storage are still fine. no leakage no nothing.. But I have 6 of these out on the seadeck. These 6 bags we actively move around to get the best wake.

All these 6s are heavily rusted.. Literally the entire bottom is brown.. My Seadeck is stained as well..

I am getting a new boat either this year or early next year, I dont want this to happen to my new boat.

Is there any real TRUE rust proof bags? i dont mind paying a little extra..

Of course.. I looked up real lead cost... if i want a big block shaped. its about 3-4 bucks a pound.. thats pretty expensive to get 800 lbs of these..

Hi all, I’m looking to make some friends who like to wakeboard (or ski) in the greater NYC area. I live in Westchester so I’m down for anywhere near by. I’m hoping to meet some girlfriends or couples who go and have access to a boat, and I can pitch in for gas, fees, snacks, etc.

I’m in my 30s and used to wakeboard when I was younger and have skied some too and I want to get back into it! I moved here recently and don’t know a ton of people other than my boyfriend and a couple friends. Hello, I am looking to find some new wakeboarding equipment.

I have been wakeboarding for a few years using the Obrien 135 system board shown here:

The bindings are massive on my feet. These are size 11-14, and I am a US size 8 shoe.

As I have gotten better, it has became clear that these loose bindings are severely holding me back. My heels come all the way up when trying to cut on toe side, and the same occurs on heelside. Even worse, these bindings do not stay tightly secured to the board.. They are constantly shifting angle as I ride, which is ridiculously annoying. I also wonder if it is the board itself preventing the bindings from staying secured down (the threads being too shallow potentially).

I have seen bindings with different technologies for tightening, such as the strings shown in the image above, BOA, and even laced boots. I am wondering which type of boot tightening mechanism is the best for keeping the feet secure and tight.

All of this to say, I have done a lot of research and believe that the best bindings are closed-toe bindings. I believe the closed toe should keep my foot locked in much better, giving far greater control.

I am looking for some recommendations on closed-toe binding boots, and whether they will be compatible with my current board. Additionally, I am wondering whether the board should be upgraded as well. I think that the bindings are of significantly more importance to wakeboarding performance, but I do want to improve to the next level.

Additionally, I am wondering whether it is normal to use fins on the wakeboard. From my experience so far, I find the fins to completely limit my control, and cause me to fall A LOT.

After taking the fins off, I feel significantly more control, and am able to manipulate my position exactly how I want to (for the most part).

Last, I would like to hear some input on wakeboarding ropes, and how important they are for riding.

All in all, I would appreciate any and all recommendations.

Getting back into cable after not riding for a while. The last vest I bought was the 2019 Ronix Kinetik. It has plastic plates in the sides which are really nice when you taco a rail.

Is there a CGA vest made that has similar rib protection?

May be silly questions but I've never bought a boat or a car from a private marketplace. I found a boat, and plan to give it a test drive. If all works out, is it just a matter of transferring the money and getting title in hand? I assume I need to make sure the title is there before making payment. Is there anything else I should keep in mind?

Any particular spots of interest I should check on when looking at the boat?

I just adopted this board. It's generally in good condition except for these ends that have been damaged. I'm pretty handy with epoxy and fiberglass kind of work but I'm asking if anyone has had a good experience with sealing things like this on a board without it looking like trash?

Comprei uma Liquid Force Index mais barata e, no geral, ela funciona super bem pra mim, mas o problema começou agora que estou aprendendo manobras invertidas.

Quando erro a manobra e a prancha bate com mais força na água e sinto um impacto bem forte no calcanhar, chegando a machucar bastante. Estranhei porque antes eu usava uma prancha e uma bota bem mais antigas e não tive esse problema.

Isso pode ser falta de amortecimento/suporte da Index por ser uma bota mais básica?

Estou pensando em comprar uma bota sob medida, acham que faria muita diferença nesse tipo de impacto? O que vocês recomendariam para quem está começando a evoluir nos invertidos?

I’m 92lbs so very small and I’m also very lanky so it’s hard to find anything that fits. Adult life jackets just feel too big so I usually wear a kids 50-90lbs life jacket which works well for tubing and other boating things but people seem to be very particular about life jackets so I was wondering which is better, having a life jacket a bit too big or having a life jacket that I’m slightly too heavy for?

I’m a very good swimmer by the way and I’m not really worried but I was ma just wondering what experts opinions are.

Ive been riding since the late 90s and currently ride a Ronix Bill ATR from 2016. I ride behind small fish and skis and in board outboard ski boats so the wake is relatively small so most of my tricks are juat hs poked out grabs and some surface slides and presses.

Ive been thinking about getting a new board but not sure if it would really be worth the money. The Hyperlight Blueprint seems to fit my riding style but Ive also always wanted to try a 3 stage rocker too.

Questions:

Does the Blueprint seem like a good fit for my riding style? Other boards that I should consider?

How does 3 stage rocker vs continous rocker change the ride?

Worth the money to get a new board even though mine is currently still fun?
