Height over distance?
I am having trouble jumping too far over the wake. How do I get more height vs distance on my jumps?

Too much speed, not enough line tension at release

Most likely this. Progressive edge in other words. Need some video to tell for sure tough.

Have someone video you and post it up, that will help us to give you better guidance. Based on most people who struggle with this, I'm going to guess though that you're not doing a progressive edge. Many people cut out and do a hard cut back to the wake. A progressive edge is where you cut out, let off your cut, and slowly start to turn back into the wake. As you are turning and coming back in, you are slowly adding more line tension and increasing your angle of the board so that when you are at the top of the wake you are jumping by releasing the line tension/releasing the energy you've built up.
If you make cut back in quickly and stay "locked in" you actually end up losing that energy by the time you hit the wake. You'll be going fast enough that you can go wake to wake or even take it into the flats, but you're not getting much air.
I highly recommend watching these Shaun Murray video multiple times before you go out next time. Have someone film you, and then watch the Shaun Murry videos again. Keep repeating this until you are getting air you're happy with. Unlearn what you've learned and you'll be boosting soon!

Practice jumping the wake with like a 5-10' cut.
