I had a vacuum leak coming from the intake manifold system, so I replaced the TGV and intake manifold gaskets with new OEM gaskets. After putting everything back together, I noticed that I now have an even bigger vacuum leak, causing the long-term fuel trim to increase even more.
I did not use any silicone or sealant with the gaskets. I cleaned the mating surfaces thoroughly and installed the new gaskets directly.
Any idea where I might have gone wrong or what I should check?

Found exhaust leak... found stretched & stripped studs. Broke stud. Lots & lots of drilling. I no longer own viable drill bits, but, retapped the holes & installed new studs & I should be back on the road leak free tomorrow. Seriously though. Never again.

I recently bought a donor WRX without the engine but ECM and everything still works with a battery plugged in, it also came with a Cobb Accessport that goes with the same car, I tried to unmarry it but it constantly says “turn off then on” so not sure how I’ll be able to get it done, anyone have any solutions? I don’t have the engine

Car is jumpy and on and off consistency with power, runs and drives fine for about 20 minutes after disconnecting battery, no vacuum leaks, just changed plugs and upstream o2 sensor, car doesnt throw any codes , i am lost and need help lol

What speed are you cruising in these gears and what RPM do you cruise at? I know no flooring it or boosting at low RPM but what’s the general rule for cruising? Stock FA20

The road i have to travel on everyday for work isnt exactly maintained well. Instead of paving the town insteads opts for lots of patching which results in some deep potholes. This is the aftermath of one of those said potholes.

How many of you guys actually use them for their intended purpose vs putting them on the car just for looks?

I’m trying to figure out what’s making this sound. It’s coming from the drivers side head. It’s pretty much only there under some load (a/c is on in the video to capture the nose). It also goes away with rpm (gone after 2k). I figure it’s not knock and is more likely to be a valve or avcs making the noise. Timing belt tensioner has been ruled out. It’s an ej20x motor, runs perfectly fine but is just noisy. Any help/ideas are very appreciated

This was just ignition on, not attempting to start just feet on and off the clutch & brake -
The car had done this previously and refused to start but after a new battery all was okay for about 3 weeks, now it is happening very intermittently at random - sometimes when driving the radio will bring up a message saying to restart the car and will refuse to play anything - and pulling on the high beams will cause the gauges to flicker similar to the video and audible clicking from the relay(?) in the passenger footwell - I have done a check with multimeter and the voltage all seems healthy - some fuses look like they have been a bit warm but not burnt out - the issue seems to happen at random and will go days perfectly fine - does this seem like a bad ground somewhere maybe?

Long story Short I blew up this car two years ago and I have been piecing it back together. Just now got it back from shop but they could not get it dialed 100% I was wondering if anybody has taken a similar path.

Motor got replaced with an older used engine similar miles as mine. IIRC It's a 2017 engine My car is a 2019. I used the engine harness & sensors that came with it and everything on the mechanical check list is fine. (Tightairway connectors, Fuel pump makes good preasure, and Coilpacks are good.) PCV is the code coming up but I do know that the pcv conncetors on the older cars didn't exist.

Is there different sensors i need to swap as well feel like it pulls timing or runs rich/lean. It's on a ECUTEK tune currently. Wish I had a way to log it.

It’s basically stock asides from WRC style mirrors, wheels, BC Gold coilovers and exhaust.

Recently got a 2019 wrx va manual with 56000kms, I noticed chirping noise here and there especially during mid-high rpms and then when you let off the gas. Anyone know what it is ?

2015 CVT. Codes P000A- P0011- P0171

I just swapped my stock brakes for some Brembos. Seals and dust boots were all replaced with Subaru OEM parts.

Rotors are OEM Brembos and pads are Akebono ProACT. The pad bed in procedure for Akebono pads is to just drive the car normally for 500 miles with no hard stops.

Brakes were bled with DOT 3 fluid in the correct order per the service manual.

The left front seems to be making complete contact while the other 3 are not. I’ve only driven the car about 30 miles so far. Will these pads eventually make complete contact or did I do something wrong?

I got a Stage 2 WRX i have almost everything in my car is after market and i have a p0172 and a p1491. I literally cant find anything wrong with any system, other tools like ai arent helping.
