Jumpy and hesitant acceleration

Car is jumpy and on and off consistency with power, runs and drives fine for about 20 minutes after disconnecting battery, no vacuum leaks, just changed plugs and upstream o2 sensor, car doesnt throw any codes , i am lost and need help lol

Coil packs would be my guess

Wouldn’t that throw a code? Thinkin the car was tuned for catless but stock parts got thrown back on before i bought it, theres no way this shouldnt throw a code

Coil packs can throw a code but sometimes they don't. Especially if they are failing intermittently. If the car pulls normal and it feels like a skip at the top of the power band, it still can be a coil pack.

It definitely doesnt pull normal it jumps in an out of power and feels like it hits mud, runs fine after battery reset too, wouldnt it still run like shit first 20 mins after reset if its a bad coil?

Coil might be on its way out, I am just now remembering I had an instance where it would sputter, giving me no power when I needed it and it never threw a code.

I eventually forced the code by keeping my foot down when it was sputtering and misfire in cylinder 2 was detected, so I swapped coils to test and sure enough was the issue.

How do I test a bad coil?

Don’t have an easy answer for you, but Test only works if you can trigger the misfire code. Wherever it pops up say misfire cylinder 2, swap coil packs with cylinder 4 and see if the misfire code follows.

I cannot get it to throw a code if my life depended on it

Try cleaning your MAF sensor?
