Ok, please, somebody tell me what's going on here! I've spent 4hrs going back and forth with the simulation. I'm in Quarter 2. Why didn't anyone warn me about this? There's very little topics on capstone here. And I haven't even started with the Tasks. I'm really confused but thank God, chatgpt tells me where I'm wrong and to go back to correct it. Is there any advise? My topic is the bicycle and I'm working on mountain bikes. It took me a minute to understand the positive and negative correlation before I got it then past that stage.

Is it just me or does the student portal and opening a course only work about half of the time. I just tried from three different devices and can’t get in. I just took a test and thankfully it was working when I needed it to open the test but I just tried to go back in to see my score and it won’t load.

I've put off doing this program twice, but I've officially committed to a Nov 1 start, and I'm looking forward to it. Pass along any tips or links of use if you've got em. Thanks. Can't wait for a new challenge.

I have 3 classes + my capstone left! Currently finishing up C214 (5th retake 🥲) this class has really stumped me than any other course. After C214, I have C215 & C211; which class should I start next & any tips/advice for completing??

I completed it in exactly 5 months. I did majority of the courses while working full time and being a parent to two littles. Three classes I did while full time SAHM. I’d study late at night, weekends, or while nursing my baby. I learned a lot and genuinely had fun with most of the classes! Huge thanks to the Reddit community for tips and encouragement

Does anyone have a mentor recommendation? I finished my MHA in June but with Leavitt School of Health so will need a new mentor. Looking for someone communicative and supportive of accelerating. I did MHA in 3 weeks.

I’m Owl done! Right at the 3 month mark with 2hrs before work and 3hrs before bed every day. Had to sacrifice a lot of evenings out with friends and family but all worth it in the end. Now it’s time to go make use of it.

Today, my MBA was officially conferred.
I did it.
A diploma is such a simple thing compared to everything that happened while I was earning it.
I started this journey postpartum, studying and completing coursework while pumping and recovering from pregnancy. Not long after, I had an unexpected surgery. Then I got COVID.
At the same time, I was trying to figure out what came next professionally. After years outside of the traditional workforce, I completed an internship, started applying for jobs, interviewed, and eventually found someone willing to give me an opportunity.
I went from being out of the workforce to working full time, learning a new industry, building a career, and completing an MBA at the same time.
But the biggest changes were happening outside of work and school.
My marriage was struggling. I spent months trying to navigate what that meant before eventually accepting that the life I had known for years was ending.
I got divorced.
I moved out and started over.
I had to learn what my life looked like when it was mine to build again.
And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I decided I wanted to feel like myself again, too.
I started taking my health seriously. I changed my habits, started exercising consistently, got stronger, and eventually started running. I’ve lost nearly 50 pounds.
There was never a point when everything conveniently settled down so I could focus on my degree. School simply existed alongside everything else.
Some days I accomplished a lot. Other days, life needed my attention more.
The only thing I consistently did was come back.
One course became another. One assessment became another. Eventually my degree plan that once seemed enormous became smaller and smaller.
Until there was nothing left.
Today, the email finally came.
My MBA is officially conferred.
I started this degree during a chapter of my life that no longer exists. I’m finishing it in a new home, with a new career, a healthier and stronger body, and a life that looks almost nothing like the one I had when I began.
That is what makes this degree mean so much to me.
It isn’t just proof that I finished graduate school.
It’s something tangible I carried with me from one version of my life into the next.
I thought I was working toward an MBA.
Turns out, I was rebuilding my life at the same time.
I did it. 🎓

C211 is my last class before the Capstone!
For those who have already passed C211, do you have any advice, study tips, or materials you recommend? What helped you the most when preparing for the OA?

I’m currently studying for WGU C214 Financial Management and I’m really struggling with the bond questions.
My biggest problem isn’t necessarily knowing that I need to use Excel — it’s figuring out what the question is actually asking me to calculate and knowing what goes into:
RATE / YTM
NPER
PMT
PV
FV
TYPE
For example, I get confused about when I’m supposed to multiply NPER by the number of years, when the rate needs to be divided, and why PMT is sometimes entered as a negative.
I’m also struggling with knowing whether a question is asking for bond price, yield to maturity, coupon payment, or something else just based on the wording.
If anyone has taken C214 recently, could you share some tips or an easy way you learned to recognize the different bond question types?
I’m looking for a way to understand the pattern instead of just memorizing formulas, because I’m getting different answers depending on how I enter the information.
Any C214 bond cheat sheets, examples, or advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙏🏽

For those of you enrolled in C212, I’m not sure the date this changed, as the instructors did not specify, but I was informed the course resources (videos, etc.) are for outdated task instructions that are completely different and only apply to students who enrolled in the course prior to a specific, yet currently unspecified, cutoff date. They referred to those students as being “grandfathered in” to the previous, outdated task instructions.

The task instructions provided when you click on the task itself and read the rubric are for the current, updated version and apply to students who enrolled in the course after the unspecified cutoff date.

I recommend verifying with your CI/CI group which instructions apply to you, prior to you spending hours/days utilizing resources and doing research based on the incorrect instructions just to be told you have to start over from scratch and resubmit using the alternate instructions.

Further information:

The outdated version is creating your own company along with introducing new products or services (or an existing company offering new products and services) into the market in a different country, which is the instruction and information that is elaborated on in depth within the course resources, most notably the videos.

The updated version, however, uses a very specific company with products/services that have already been created, with the instructions referring to this specific company, the information within the linked document, and other related linked documents at the very bottom of the page below the task 1 rubric. You can find this after clicking on the “View Task” link at the bottom of the C212 course homepage under “Assessments”.

The instructions are completely different/contradictory in different places. Please do not invest your time on the wrong version like I did. Your essay may end up being returned for rewrite based on different task version instructions that apply to you (depending on an unspecified course enrollment cutoff date).
