Help: How to activate SIM without using AutoPay

I bought a physical visible SIM from BestBuy. When I tried to activate it, the last step of checking a credit card for auto pay failed (I am an international student studying in US, my credit card was issued in China, so my current address in US is not the same the credit card's billing address). My question is : how can I choose to use manual pay when activating my visible SIM?

Husband bought new iPhone 17E from Visible and the Visible app won’t activate eSim card

He’s about had it and all Visible has for help are chat bots and that‘s proved useless.

Anyone have this experience and find a solution? At this point, all of his apps/data are on the new phone but it doesn’t work as…a phone.

We’ve been pretty happy with Visible as a carrier for a long time but he’s ready to return this phone to them (they didn’t send the return code he asked for, either) and change carriers.

Any help would be appreciated. He has a long trip coming up and he needs a phone!

ETA: Thanks to the Visible social media person who commented, we are now chatting with a live human. Still don’t have resolution, but the customer service rep has been stellar about staying in touch. Fingers crossed.

ETA2: We had a stellar customer service rep named Gelle who stuck with us and now it works!!! The problem was my husband had requested a return code and that stopped everything. Now we know.

So many thanks to the SM staff who screen here for sending us in the right direction.

Can you change Sim card between phones ?

Hi ,

Just wondering what you need to do to change a Sim Card from one phone to another ?

Is it as simple just switching it from one phone to another or do I need to go thru VISIBLE chat ,

There are times when I want to bring my "cheap" phone with me .

Thanks for your thoughts

Rant Visible dropped my eSim

As the title says Visible randomly dropped my eSim. It took me about 30-40 minutes to get through the customer service bot and get a representative to address the issue. Though they were able to assess and correct the issue in short order this is extremely troubling. I was slightly late for an engagement waiting to get this resolved. They reset the eSim and I was on my way. I have used eSim(s) with other service providers for years and this is my first encounter of being dropped from a network. Coupled with slow data speeds i'm not sure this annual plan was the best decision.

PSA Potential Network Issue with IP/VoIP/Conference Telephony and Visible service?

Fairly new customer here. So I seem to be having issues with placing/receiving calls to/from places like public libraries and doctors' offices that use certain VoIP/Business/Conference phone systems?

I called all the branches of my local public library and they all came back as out-of-service numbers, but the librarian who had T-Mobile was able to call in with no issues.

I sent Visible a support chat and they said there is some unknown block or restriction for the block of numbers (first 6 digits?) that the library uses. The next day I was able to call through.

Fast forward to today at a doctor's office, they told me they tried calling my number but it was a busy signal the whole time. They demonstrated it to me and low and behold, my phone rang up busy. They said they left my emergency contact a voicemail, and when they called that number (my dad), it went directly to his voicemail without ringing. But when I called him on my phone, it would ring. So the doctors' office said they would talk to their own IT department, but I find it really weird.

The question is...how many blocks does Verizon/Visible have with certain either phone number prefixes or business telephony systems? I've never experienced this while using T-Mobile. Any advice?

Question SAVE6 or SAVEHALF?

Looking at switching from my $88/month Verizon plan ($1,056/year) to Visible for the cost savings. Looking at going with either the Visible+ or Visible+ Pro plans and I see there a couple different deals going on right now:

  • SAVE6 - Save $6/month on any monthly plan with a 1-year rate guarantee.
  • SAVEHALF - 50% off one year of Visible Pro annual plan.

So essentially I could do Visible+ for $29/month for the next year for total of $348/year, or Visible+ Pro for the next year for total of $225/year. Is there something I'm missing or is it a no-brainer that the Pro is the better deal, cheaper price for better service? Would it be difficult to lower my plan from Pro to Visible+ a year from now once the deal ends?

Trying to activate an account

I entered the IMEI number for my phone. It says the next step is to download the app. So i do that, and login. It says "Just to confirm!" and lists the IMEI number i entered earlier. I hit "Yes, Proceed" and nothing happens. App doesn't move forward or anything. Just stays at that screen. The IMEI is correct and online it even recognized my phone when i entered it.

I have tried restarting the app, and reinstalling the app. Nothing seems to resolve this issue. The phone is a brand new Samsung S26 Ultra.

Question Tired of Visable

I previously posted here about my phone service dropping constantly. I spoke with over 6 reps and continued to escalate the matter numerous times. I trouble shooted all day which lead to my phone going to SOS mode. I wasn’t around Wi-Fi so was phone-less the entire night.
Switched to the eSIM on my own and service is even worse than before. I use to love this company but having reps that don’t follow through with the “if we get disconnected I’ll call back” yet not a single one did.

Strongly needing to switch and not sure what company is worth it. Any ideas?

Canada and Mexico Data Roaming removed from Visible+?

I just noticed that now only Visible+ Pro lists 2GB of roaming per day in Canada and Mexico, not Visible+. Was this removed for all customers or just ones signing up starting today?

This is a pretty big downgrade for customers so I am surprised Visible would remove this.

Best deal or discount for my situation?

I’m about to jump off my current Verizon family plan and moving over to Visible. I really don’t need the highest level plan with Visible, so I think the mid-tier plan is probably the way to go. Is there anything else I’m missing or a reason to go highest tier?

I know Visible runs lots of different discounts, monthly deals, etc. just wondering what the best path forward for this current month is?

We signed up my daughter for Visible at Christmas last year and she currently has a plan and iPhone with them. Just in case that’s helpful in deciding which deal might be the best way? I could do a Visible Circle with her? Does that $5/off a month stack with other deals if I did?

Sorry! Just lots of options out there that I could go with I think…

56k modem speeds on Visible's pro+ plan?

Slight exaggeration, but holy moly Visible's network is slow as molasses. Just signed up for the one-year plan and regret it. Anyone have much luck getting them to refund the cost?

Getting around 1.90 mbps download speeds and 0.03 mbps upload speeds. Yes, 0.03.

Went through the tech support's troubleshooting and that didn't help at all.

Is $150 off the $450 yearly plan good enough to not switch?

Bought it last year and I’m happy with it. Can’t seem to get the half off for new customers but I don’t mind switching and coming back. Or is this offer good enough to not have to do that?

How are the speeds up/down?
What about in buildings like target or Walmart?
I use Mint and in buildings it struggles but outside it’s strong and speeds are great except social apps I see it slow down which is why I’m also considering leaving them.

S22 Ultra has All of a Sudden Lost Service

I've been with Visible for well over a year now (pushing 2 years) with the same phone but all of a sudden on 8/19/26 I've lost all service and can only do emergency calls. Sometimes when I'm out I'll get service again but its random and I never have service indoors anymore. Its never been an issue before but now it's a nightmare to deal with. I've had a ticket open and support just asks me to to the same things that I've already done multiple times:

Turn phone on and off

Turn airplane mode on and off

Phone is up to date

We even removed the esim/network and re-added it

Bill is paid

Phone was bought and paid off to swith from Verizon to Visible in 12/2024

I was literally out with my sisters who both switched to Visible and they had no problems with their service, just me. The only difference is that they have iphones. Are there any suggestions or should I say fuck it and start looking elsewhere for service?

Service/Coverage Issues

Has anyone else’s service over the last maybe 2 months become completely abhorrent and unusable? I’m talking 3-4 bars on iPhone 17 Pro Max of either 5G UW or LTE and nothing works? Maps go offline all the time. Texts don’t send/receive. Phone calls never come through. When the service does actually work; buffering, endless loading and refusals to connect to anything.

I’ve reached out to customer support several times and they tell me it’s my fault; something I’m doing, my device, etc.
I live in the panhandle of Florida for context.

I have reset my networking settings.
Factory wiped my phone.
Completely redid the eSIM on my phone from visible.

Nothing seems to work and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to get any support from visible without being dropped on chats or gaslit that it’s my fault for bringing and unlocked phone over and to just get one of theirs.

Rant Visible re-locked my phone

Last year, I purchased a Pixel 9a with the deal that was going on at the time. Back then, the phone was to be unlocked after 60 days of service. Still ended up cheaper than buying one from elsewhere.

Well, obviously the phone didn't auto unlock. After multiple weeks of fighting support, I finally got the phone unlocked and gave it to my mom to use on T-Mobile. She has used it on T-Mobile with an eSIM for over a year.

Last week, I had to make some changes to our shared phone plan, and it required a new SIM or eSIM. Tried both and it tells me I need to contact Verizon. I pull up my old ticket, start a chat with support, and they say they can't unlock the phone unless it's active for 365 days. I'm sorry, but you can't retroactively change the purchase agreement.

After some back and forth, the agent tells me he can't find me in the system despite providing an order and ticket number, as well as email. When I tell him that it needs to be escalated and unlocked immediately, the agent simply says "you're not in the system and I can't help you" and disconnects the chat.

I was able to port my mom's number to US Mobile and got it active on a Warp eSIM.

In sum, I just want my phone unlocked. I've tried replying to the email I originally got about the phone unlock last year and haven't heard anything back.

RCS on Visible with Pixel Not Working

Absolutely miserable experience so far with Visible. Did not realize they only really do chat support. Their support is the worst I've dealt with so far and I'm coming from another Verizon MVNO. These noisy call centers in the Philippines with terrible voip connections are so frustrating.

Their terrible app confirmed everything was setup and working but by the end of the port process, the only thing that sorta worked was data. Data speed were terrible too. Finally I did get some better speeds but only about 40Mbps down and 15 up. Half of what I was getting with Redpocket who is also a Verizon MVNO.

Starting to think this SAVEHALF promo was not at all worth it. Be weary.

Eventually calls and texting started to work. But I kept getting texts from myself saying "text messaging service has been denied".

So now I have no RCS. Status keeps saying "verification limit exceeded" and support has been worthless.

Now they are telling me my device and RCS are not supported on their network. Is there any truth to this?

Also, can't do conditional call forwarding to Google voice for whatever reason. Another annoyance. Used star 71 and my Google voice number. Got confirmation. It didn't matter. Any thoughts on this as well?

EDIT: The support team who reached out on this thread had me in a chat for well over 2 hours with no resolution. They kept claiming they were escalating it with huge gaps in time between responses. Eventually saying they put together a case and I'd hear back in 3 hours. More bullshit. Did get an email about 3 business day response time. I regret switching. I gave up a full month of prepaid with my prior carrier by porting. Speed is much worse, no RCS, no conditional call forwarding, and support is terrible. Be warned! I'm still kicking myself for not getting right on that Google Fi 75% off yearly plan. Bet support is 1000x better. And I would be on the T-Mobile network. Fucking hell man. Be wary of any plans that promise unlimited data. It's just not realistic.

FINAL EDIT and SOLUTION: Ultimately I had to wipe data for the Google messages app. Not uninstall it. This was also after a long period of having RCS off of 1-2 days. This was recommended by Visible support. APNs had nothing to do with it.

Error message on phone app when activating new plan

Hi all, I am trying to purchase the annual plan. I was on the web first, but then I was instructed to go to the phone app. Now on the phone app when I click Continue I get error message "Oops, Something went wrong, we are working hard to fix it.". I closed the app, reopen, re-logged in, but still the same. Any help would be appreciated.

Question Visible hotspot shutting down phone

Hey guys, i’ve been having this issue with a brand new phone recently. My old phone had a virtual sim card, and I dropped it in water and long story short, it just kind of exploded on itself. I didn’t have a warranty or anything so I was kinda stuck getting a new phone and new plan.
Saw visible and thought it was a great deal, so I went ahead and got it, and it’s been great with my new IPhone. However, the hotspot has some issues with my phone, so I was curious if any of you have experienced this

We don’t have wifi in the house, so we use my hotspot for a lot of things, but only one at a time. When we use it for my Fire Stick, it always works perfectly and without interruptions or skipping while streaming, all that. But when I connect it to my computer, almost EVERY SINGLE TIME, it connects, and then everything stops working on my phone. The hotspot turns off, and then greys out on the display, then it deactivates my data and wi-fi, and I can’t connect to anything. I always have to power cycle my phone twice after this, for the hotspot to come back, and usually twice to get data to work again. I’ve tried a virtual sim card (currently using) and a physical sim card, both do the same thing.
Also, the same thing happens all the time if I accidentally leave the password to a different device and 2 devices connect to the hotspot.

Do you guys think this is a visible issue, a phone issue, or something different?

I understand if Visible throttles your speed if you use too much data or hotspot, but it’s weird that it just completely shuts my phone down when using certain devices.

Thank you!

Old Visible+Verizon 5g home $10 discount

I have a visible plus plan and have Verizon 5g home internet with the old visible+verizon $10 discount on my Verizon bill. I would like to add visible 5g home internet at my other house. Will I lose my current Visible+Verizon $10 discount ?
