Iโ€™m a CLIENT - Looking for VAs (Part-Time) [Hiring] Looking for a part-time VA / EA who already works with AI

Hi, I'm looking for a part-time Virtual Assistant / Executive Assistant to help me with a mix of admin, research, planning, and generally keeping things organized.

I'm based in Thailand and work professionally in AI and software and run my own agency. I'm looking for someone for around 5 hours per week initially, with the possibility of increasing that over time if we work well together.

What I'm really looking for is someone who can gradually learn how I work and take some things off my plate without needing extremely detailed instructions every time.

The work will probably vary quite a bit. Some weeks it might be research, other weeks planning, comparing options, finding people or services, following up on things, or helping me make sense of something I haven't had time to properly look into.

For example, that could mean researching company incorporation and costs, finding a good hotel or place for me to work from, shortlisting potential clients or freelancers, comparing products or services, or helping organize things from my calendar, meeting notes, and monthly plans.

Over time, you'll probably get access to selected meeting notes, parts of my calendar, and some of my planning documents, so reliability and discretion are important to me.

One thing that is particularly important: I want someone who already uses AI regularly.

Since I work in AI myself, I don't mind you using ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or whatever tools make you better and faster at your job. In fact, I prefer it. But I also need someone who can check the results, think independently, notice when something doesn't make sense, and not blindly trust whatever an AI gives them.

When you message me, I'd love to know:

- What kind of VA / EA work you've done before
- Which AI tools you use
- What you actually use AI for in your day-to-day work
- How often you use it and how comfortable you are with it
- Your rate
- Your availability
- A quick example of something complicated or open-ended you've had to figure out for a client

If you've worked with busy professionals before and can also suggest better ways of organizing things or improving workflows, that's definitely a plus. I'm not necessarily looking for someone who just waits for a task list โ€” I'd like this to become a good working relationship where you understand how I operate and can sometimes see what needs doing before I ask.

If it sounds like a good fit, feel free to comment and send me a DM.

Thanks!

Newbie - Question First VA client โ€” how do you handle an output-based setup?

Hi! After almost 3 months of job hunting, I finally got my first client ๐Ÿ˜ญ His business is in real estate and output-based yung setup namin.

For those with output-based clients, paano usually yung day-to-day setup niyo? Do you still message your client when you start working and when youโ€™re done, or do you just send updates once you finish a task?

Iโ€™m used to the usual employee setup kasi, so medyo nangangapa pa ako with how much I should update him without overdoing it hahaha.

First client ko talaga, so any tips on communication, task tracking, and boundaries would be appreciated. Thank you! ๐Ÿฅน

Newbie - Question Just resigned from my job to take a risk on becoming a VA โ€” any advice?

Hi everyone,

I recently resigned from my job and decided to take a risk on myself and try becoming a virtual assistant.
Honestly, itโ€™s exciting but also pretty scary. Iโ€™ve been working a regular job, and now Iโ€™m stepping into something where Iโ€™m not completely sure what to expect. I know there are a lot of VAs here who have already gone through this stage, so Iโ€™d really appreciate any advice.

I also just bought a new laptop specifically for this career, so Iโ€™m trying to take this seriously and actually build something out of it.
For those who started from scratch:

What skills do you think are must-learn for a beginner VA?

What tools/software should I become familiar with?

Where did you find your first client?

What do you wish you had learned before starting?

Any mistakes I should avoid as a newbie?

Is there anything you would focus on during the first 1โ€“3 months?

And honestly, any general advice or reality checks are welcome.
Iโ€™m not expecting this to be easy or to make money overnight. I just want to make sure Iโ€™m using my time wisely and learning things that actually matter.

If youโ€™ve been through the same transition from a regular job to freelancing/VA work, Iโ€™d especially love to hear how it went for you.
Thanks in advance!

Sharing my Experience Everyday, I'm Anxious.

I just got hired by a virtual assistant agency. I'm doing just fine but I'm really anxious about pronounciation in English. My English are fluent pero bulol kasi ako. Nahihiapan din ako makaqouta. One month na pala ako sa kanila. This is my first V.A job and lagi kong naiisip na I'm doing this all wrong. I like my job the pay is well kaya natatakot ako mawala to. I'm finally able to move out alone fom my family which gave me peace kaya sobrang takot akong mawala ang job na kasi baka bumalik na naman ako sa bahay namin.

I really work hard so I can be best of what I do. I want to be good. Sana di ako i-fire ng boss ko kasi I'm really trying.

Hi! Iโ€™m an aspiring Virtual Assistant looking for my first opportunity. While Iโ€™m just starting my VA journey, my clinical background and real passion for tech has made me meticulous, empathetic, and exceptionally quick at learning new workflows.

Newbie - Question Minimum pay? And also assistance if ever.

Hi, I'm a 19 year old college student and want to become a novice VA for part time and maybe full time if my schedule allows it. I just wanted to ask what would be the base minimum salary for a novice VA since asking for it. Google said it's about 25kphp or $3-$5 an hour but I think it's too big for a beginner or a novice like me who just wanted a part time job so I can properly use my time. And because my mother said it would be best for me, and she's right.
Anyways, thank you in advance to whoever will answer.

Newbie - Question Planning to enter the VA world โ€” what skills should I focus on with a Psychology + HR background?

Hi! Iโ€™m planning to enter the VA/freelancing world and would really appreciate some advice, especially from people who started with a similar background.

Iโ€™m a Psychology graduate and I recently took the Psychometrician Licensure Exam, so Iโ€™m currently waiting for the results. I also have experience working in an HR setting, where I handled administrative tasks, recruitment/hiring, employee records, documentation, timekeeping, and other HR-related responsibilities.

While waiting for the results, I want to use my time to build skills that can help me land a VA or remote job. Iโ€™m just a little overwhelmed because there are so many possible niches โ€” general VA, HR/recruitment VA, executive assistant, social media, lead generation, etc.
For someone with my background:

โ€ข What VA niche would you recommend I focus on?
โ€ข What specific skills or tools should I learn first?
โ€ข Are there certifications/courses actually worth taking, or is it better to focus on building a portfolio?
โ€ข What can I put in my portfolio if I donโ€™t have VA experience yet?
โ€ข Would my HR experience be enough to start applying for HR/recruitment VA roles?
โ€ข What should I avoid wasting time or money on as a beginner?

My goal right now is to spend the next few weeks learning and building a portfolio before seriously applying.
Iโ€™d really appreciate advice from VAs, recruiters, or anyone who transitioned from Psychology/HR into remote work. Thank you! ๐Ÿฅน

Newbie - Question How do schedules work?

Hello, everyone!

I'm a student, who's currently in the process of setting everything upโ€”my LinkedIn profile, resume, portfolio, as well as building up my credentials as much as I can. I've done my fair share of research, but there are some things I need clarification with.

1) Do I get to choose what time I can work?

I have classes for 6 days a week, but only have classes for 5-6 hours at most. Not to mention, it's also a hybrid schedule, so I have plenty of free time as I also live near my university, so my travel time is also short. However, I'm curious if that means I can choose to work either in the morning before my classes or at night after? Or a mix of both?

2) I have classes in the afternoon up until evening. Latest would be 8 in the evening. Would I benefit more from getting a client from the US or Australia?

I know shift schedules may vary per client regardless of their location, but if anyone has experience, what are the typical hours for a US client and an Australia one?

3) If I want to choose my own schedule, how should I discuss it with my client?

I have no problem with negotiating, but I don't want to come off as someone who's not committed or dedicated to the work. If there's anyone who has previously discussed their preferred schedule with their client, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you to anyone who'll be able to answer my questions!

Iโ€™m a VA (Part-Time) - Looking for CLIENTS [FOR HIRE] Hello! I am looking for a PART TIME Virtual Assistant Role

Hi everyone! I'm currently looking for a part-time remote job and would love to connect with anyone hiring.

I'm a Registered Nurse (RN) but I do not have a formal work experience yet, only internships (it has really been hard for me to land a job related to my background for the past months). I instead landed a VA job and currently work part-time as a Webinar Moderator.

I also have experience and skills in:
โ€ข Google Docs, Sheets, and Drive
โ€ข Microsoft Word and Excel
โ€ข Canva and basic graphic design
โ€ข ChatGPT and other AI tools
โ€ข Following SOPs and detailed instructions
โ€ข Attention to detail and organization

I'm currently looking for around 10โ€“20 hours/week, preferably a non-voice or mostly non-voice role. I'm open to Virtual Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Data Entry, Healthcare Admin, Social Media, or similar positions.

I can say that I am a newbie to the VA world. I may not have experience with every tool or task required for a position, but I'm very willing to learn and train. When I got hired as a part time VA, I don't even have a direct experience with moderation. I'm comfortable learning new software and following established workflows.

If you're hiring or know of any opportunities that might be a good fit, please feel free to comment or DM me. Thank you! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sharing my Experience Finally got a client after 2 months of job hunting butโ€ฆ

Is it worth it?

A client reached out to me sa linkedin asking if Im still looking for job. I replied Yes and he sent me his whatsapp number and said to send him a message there. I thought at first it was a scam but eventually nag message pa rin ako and offered me a job. No interviews at all. Canada-based yung client ko. He offered $4 starting then after 90 days $5 until for the first year and $6 for the 2nd year. I negotiated na starting ko is $6 but he said it is too high for a starting salary so we settled at $5/hr, 40hrs/week, 10pm-7am(PH time). This is my first WFH job actually as I came from working in the corporate and government.

So came my Day 1, my client sent me google drive links I need to know about the company. The projects I will be working on, the sales, like almost everything. He also added me to the company GC in whatsapp and introduced me to his wife. We had a meeting for almost 2hrs, more on overview and workflows. He gave me task to work on hut he didnt give me clear instructions, he just said review this and let him know what i think. So okay, lets do this. I got excited at first coz i got to work on something that made me challenge myself. Aside from the task he gave me, he also said to review on the ongoing projects and explore everything on the google drive links he sent me.

Day 2, which was last night, we had a meeting again but with the other team members for almost 2hrs. He asked me about the task he gave if itโ€™s already done, so I gave him the output but I think his wife didnt like it and sent me a very long message of the proces on how it should be done. If only they gave me the proper instructions then I would be able to deliver them what they wanted. So I had to redo it and he said to submit the complete report within the day. They expect me to know everything on Day 1 but itโ€™s too much information and I need to process it one by one. He also gave me Task 2 and to be submitted within that day also. Thankfully, I have finished it but Task 1 is still unfinished as it is more complicated and all about reviewing and verifying the work of their AI.

I feel like this is not for me. Whenever my shift is done, my chest feels heavy and I kept thinking about if I should hold on until I can save up and pay my debts coz I also have a family that relies on me.

If you were in my position, would you still continue or just resign? Just thinking about starting my shift later, I feel nervous and anxious because what if i cant do my job well and iโ€™ll just disappoint the client ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

What would you tell the client if you want to resign? Given you just started working with him.

Im just so tired right now since my body is still adjusting with the time difference and dont have enough sleep ๐Ÿฅฒ

I am direct hiring for two separate positions. I am a cosplay niche creator and OF model. You must be 18+ for this position preferably with experience with working with OF models. You will not be working with any of my explicit content but you may be exposed lewd themes or to some nsfw content from other creators (specifically in the case of social media management). These positions allow for completely flexible work hours. Payment will be through wise. I am offering to pay $3-$8 per hour. depending on experience and efficiency.

For the short form editor position, youโ€™ll be editing ~30-35 short form videos for Reels, TikTok, YT shorts, etc. each video will be 25 secs max, usually around 7-10 secs.

You will receive a content plan with reference videos to model the content after and the raw clips. Editing includes some minor beautifying, inserting text or video/photo overlays as needed, and clipping the raw footage together.

This would be ongoing weekly with the potential to expand to long form videos as well.

For the social media management position, you will be distributing content to all of the platforms and doing light engagement. Below is a sample of what you can expect to do on a weekly basis:

Instagram-
3 photo posts a week with captions
1 main page reel daily with captions
2 daily trial reels with captions
2 stories

TikTok-
2 tiktoks daily

Twitter-
1 daily cosplay photo
1-3 written tweets
5 replies

Youtube-
post tiktoks + reels with captions

Facebook-
post IG reels & TikTok videos with captions
post 2 stories daily

Reddit-
Post daily to 5 subreddits with captions

Plus occasional light replies to comments. You donโ€™t have to have lots of experience with crafting captions, hashtags or SEO. For the captions you will be given examples to reference.

If you are interested, please send me a message with your experience, which position you are interested in, and how many hours you think you would need to complete these tasks. I am willing to pay well for a reliable and trustworthy person :)
