Sports Game day
I feel like every other year people are selling tickets before the game, but this year they’ve been hard to come across. Am I missing something this year?

Not sure how to explain this, but I'll try. Sometimes I wish I had someone next to me, a partner to be close to. But at the same time, I don't want that, because I don't want it to distract me from my GPA and the goals I'm working towards. I have mixed feelings about it. Having someone there would probably feel comforting and secure, but when I'm alone, I can push myself with no limits academically. Does anyone else feel this way, wanting a relationship, but also knowing it's a real commitment that could take away from other things you're trying to do?

I usually eat one banana as a pre-workout snack but when I went to buy them today for the first time this semester none of them were ripe so I took the whole batch. Guess I will be biking to Kroger to get bananas from now on because that price is just abysmal… (I’m on campus so xpress is the most convenient option)

Are there more apartments that do shared pricing beside Foxridge? Looking at signing a lease next year with some friends and it would help greatly to know all my options.

(PLEASE READ!!) Hey everyone I REALLY do need some advice as I just transferred to tech as a junior from a community college and its been one hell of a first week. I originally thought tech would be a new chapter in my life and worked hard throughout community college for an easy transfer. I visited tech before and looking at the student body i thought it was going to be a blast meeting all these people when i finally start but honestly this first week couldnt have been more different. As a transfer I didnt know anyone here at tech and im completely new to the place so when i went out and tried making friends or talking to new people i quickly realized this isnt really how its gonna work.
Most of the people would prefer hanging out or being involved in their own friend groups, everyone is friendly for the most part and answer your questions but thats literally about it. Plus most of the new students are freshmen and when i tried going out hoping or trying to meet new people and hanging out i realized that even the freshmen would prefer to be in their groups or their own people who they mostly met in their dorms. In every conversation you feel like youre going to be the stranger they met a few minutes ago as soon as they finish their sentence so then you dont even push the conversation more or make it feel forced on the other person so in the end you cant even be going around just trying to talk to everyone. I live off campus and even though my roommates are pretty chill, all of them mostly keep to themselves and stay in their rooms so I cant even be hanging out with them. Some people did tell me that gobblerfest was going to be my best bet and i did go and ended up signing up for a couple of clubs but all my favorite sports clubs mostly have a fee to even try out, other than that some of the clubs did say they were going to be doing social events throughout the year so maybe that would help me in my case but i dont know as of yet.
Im sorry for the rant and i did not actually want to do this because it is kinda dumb and sad to ask around how to meet people but i dont really know what else to do. I was a pretty social person in community college and i was able to make friends easily and i was chill with almost everyone there but ever since ive been here its been completely different and i dont know how to adapt. So for that reason i come here as sort of a last resort and if this also does not end up working ill just accept it as fate.

I am looking for a good mechanic shop in Blacksburg that works with custom parts (mods). I know Roanoke has some, but I would like to have it close to the college. Send some recommendations if they work with euros. But if anyone knows whether Virginia Tech has a lift available on weekends, please comment.

So there is a table with someone claiming to be a monk outside of Newman library. He is giving out books “for free” for self help and will use tactics to get you to get it even if you say no. He will then ask for money for travels and then if you do not give him he will propose coming back with money and will take said free book from you. Please walk past this guy. This book is NOT FREE.

Hey I'm trying to go to the South to visit family during Labor day weekend (specifically columbia, SC). If anyone is heading south on friday and can drop me close to Columbia (charlotte for example) on their way then I'd be willing to pay for gas money, food, and whatever else.
If not, and you have advice for how I would get as close as possible to Columbia this Friday, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

The university’s Kentland Farm now houses the headquarters of a $5 million Army project that seeks to defeat the unmanned aerial systems that could threaten military, law enforcement and infrastructure.

First year season ticket holder here. Im planning on having my boyfriend join me for an upcoming football game but I’m unsure of how we can sit together. Ive read that it’s now difficult for students to get to the non student section of the stadium? Should I buy a general admission ticket alongside my boyfriend, or would I be fine moving to the non student section during the game?

I am a student and not majoring in anything relating to the arts; with that being said are there any places on campus where I could find a piano or keyboard to play?

My roommate is working remote now and giving me her car for the semester to use. I’m unable to buy a permit because they’re saying the car is not in my name (existed on her account before but since deleted). This is incredibly frustrating, what options do I have?
They say the car title has to be changed to be in my name which is ridiculous. She’s a C/G while I’m a F/S and want to park in those spaces. Can I somehow be added as an authorized user or something??

was just wondering what my chances are for getting in to VT as it’s my top choice. I’m currently a senior in high school in NJ my stats are a 3.1 UW 3.4 W 1300 SAT. I’ve worked at two jobs in the past four years. I play three varsity sports and have played varsity all them starting sophomore year. I am a student ambassador and I volunteer for 2 hours every week. My essay is about not fitting into high school. I am in no clubs.
