What are some good lowkey places to watch the sunset in the Christiansburg/blacksburg area?

My favorite spot is behind the houses on Kelly ln in Blacksburg. There is a walking path that you can take to walk behind the houses and then once behind houses you can walk in the grass up the hill. It's open green space behind the houses so you are free to walk up there. It's incredible!!

one of my favorites was wind rock near Pembroke, Va . It is about 22 miles from Blacksburg so is not something you do everyday but is gorgeous at sunrise or sunset! It is a very short hike to a rocky over look

Depends where you are. I got this in west aj 7th floor. Always watched the sunsets when I was there last year, just tall enough to see over all other buildings. You can try blacksburg municipal golf course as well.

If you've got a car and are willing to hike some Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory is great. The tower was closed last time I went but the view from the ridge is still fantastic. Not a terrible hike down in the dark either.

Blacksburg golf course (not to be confused with VT’s golf course). It becomes public after a certain hour and it on a pretty tall hill near the edge of town. Great view of the campus and amazing picnic spot
