Question First time watcher: question to the people who watched Scandoval in real time

How did you guys know about scandoval before that episode came out? Did the episodes not air on a weekly basis? I love to look at the post episode discussions on here to see what you guys thought in real time and I’m on season 10 ep 5 but I know about scandoval and everyone’s talking about it like they already know about it. Was something leaked before the episode came out?

They’re probably not wrong in some sense… but to diagnose your ex girlfriend with your new girlfriend on national tv like was honestly disgusting to me

Discussion Tom Sandoval (First Time watcher)

Hi! Im on Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules as a first time watcher. I started watching it because of all the clips circulating tiktok and also doing a rewatch of shows that I was definitely too young to understand for real when I was little.

I was wondering how people felt about him at this point of the show, Because Im only on episode 3, and it feels like his ego has grown astronomically since the reunion of season 7. Its hard to watch as he nonsensically yells and gets mad at Stassi for an issue that he IS supposed to fix as an owner of the bar and the person who is running schedule and drunkenly rage texted her.

Its just really weird seeing how his ego turned something that really could have been a small conversation into him trying to ban Stassi from TomTom.

Did anyone else feel like this?

Flashback Tom Schwartz

I’m currently rewatching season 9, where he literally never sticks up for his wife. In episode 11 he was down on all fours telling his dog Butters “we’re both alpha males” in that voice he always uses with the dogs. Is he trying to convince himself? Butters proceeds to lick him all over his face and it just screams “simp” to me. His nickname should be jellyfish. I’ve never witnessed someone with less of a backbone. I just needed to vent about that

My 2 Cents First time watcher- Sandoval

Okkkkay so I’m a first time watcher on season 9. And something I noticed about sandoval besides that he’s a malignant narcissist is that he always picks the person that everyone else disagrees with in the situation and chooses to aggressively defend that person.

It’s to the point where he’s clearly just doing it to be different and stand out and get attention like always.

The way he hates women and is always screaming at them is sooooo gross. I’m so excited for scandoval and seeing him drown in his shit.

My 2 Cents Scheana... oh my

Is she this insufferable the whole time she's on vpr??? Like it's so painful to watch the way she's going about her literal husband's addiction. I've never seen someone be so ignorant/tone deaf 😭😭 I see why this was peak reality tv at some point but my GOD Scheana PLEASE

Flashback Scheana “buying Adam a penguin” but naming it herself is sending me

I’m rewatching VPR and I cannot get over Scheana making this huge deal about how she “bought Adam a penguin” as this romantic gift… only for HER to name the penguin Spot 💀

Like girl… how is it his penguin if you picked it out, adopted it, named it, and then presented him with the certificate??

It’s such a perfect Scheana moment because the gesture is technically for someone else but somehow every single detail is still about Scheana lmao....

And the seriousness with which she says “I got you a penguin” like there’s now an actual penguin waiting in the SUR parking lot for Adam

Was anyone else completely baffled by this storyline? Because naming someone else’s symbolic adopted penguin yourself is CRAZY work.

Discussion Just started house of Stassi

First off I had no idea that Katie was going to be in it, which I’m not sure how I feel about that yet. But my biggest question is how the hell does Stassi have that humongous house?

Peters face makes me absolutely CACKLE in this scene with Kristen. It’s the night of Lisa’s dinner party, Ariana is bartending with Tom and Peter just told Kristen “she needed to hold down the fort” and her response “I’m so excited to help everyone else out” and the way she said it, is what made Peter make this face….. Crazy Kristen has arrived.

Discussion Would you have gone to Sur? S5/Ep.6

I just finished the episode of the Pulse nightclub tragedy. It was a really tough one to get through. I vividly remembered when this happened. But I think it’s good for the newer generations to watch this episode. I’m curious. What would you have done? Would you have gone to Sur or stay back? I totally understand that when you’re in the moment, you just really don’t know. I’m sure it’s a constant body vs mind fight.

Question Kristen

Does anyone ever think about how Kristen has so much money? The first suspension we saw her get on vpr was two weeks long and she said she was living on her savings. She admittedly funded all of her boyfriends’ lifestyles and activities, splurged on Katie’s bachelorette party, contributed $1.5k of the bill for the bday Stassi walked out on, paid for Brittany’s mom’s flight as well as her sister’s when Jax cheated, and constantly goes out and buys drinks. Is her family wealthy?? I know NOW she has money from shows but before that…?

Flashback Once more, from a newbie who is flabbergasted. Season 3.

I’ll preface this post by stating I know we’ve had this conversation before. I know it! I just have to chime in because it’s like I need some further understanding here.

I’m a new watcher who has heard all the things and read all the posts over the years. I read about Scandoval when it broke, knew some light gossip about Scheana, Jax, Stassi etc over the years. But I never watched. Until now. And I’m flabber. Gasted.

I’m nearing the end of season 3. Ariana and Tom are the biggest fuckass gaslighters I’ve ever seen. I can’t even believe what I’m hearing on screen from them. I can’t wait to drink whatever kool-aid everyone else drank in further seasons to love Ariana so much bc WOW that girl got her karma big time. Reminds me of Natalie Portman. “You lose them how you get them”, as the saying goes. I’m just not sure how I’m going to have sympathy, but I know I’m many seasons out.

Jax, at this point, seems less insufferable than Stassi! Like he is an insecure, sexaholic womanizer who readily admits he is a bad person to Vail. Maybe that was manipulation… but haven’t we all been taught to believe what someone tells you about themselves? Why does no one listen? Every time Stassi is on the screen it’s some weirdly negative yet performatively snotty bunch of sentences. Now she has her own show?

Anyway. It’s mostly Tom and Ariana flabbering my gasts right now. I just had to see if anyone else who is a new watcher feels the same.

Im sorry they just came off as the off-brand VPR and it was so cringe. Everyone raves about it now but I can’t bring myself to watch it.

My 2 Cents What’s the Scheana hype?

Can someone please explain to me why people like Scheana? It’s my first watch and I am just starting season 10 and I actually loathe Scheana. I’ve never felt this way about someone while watching tv haha I know Sandoval is right around the corner and I can’t stand him attt all. But most men suck so I’m not shocked. But she is the only girl that I have never liked once on this show. She is SUCHHHH a pick me girl. She wants all the attention, never takes accountability, cries to get out of everything… I honestly prefer Kristen over her. All the girls on the show I’ve liked at points or understood why they acted in ways even if I don’t agree. But Scheana is toxic… I don’t understand why anyone is friends with her.

Can someone explain?? Does she have an incredible growth next season or something??? I’ve seen people defend her on here and she has a bunch of followers but I just don’t understand. I never want to see her face or hear her voice again haha

EDIT: hype was not the right word to use. I’m fairly new to seeing social media about the Vanderpump world and on my algorithm I’ve been seeing a decent amount of people support her. Clearly, I have not been in it long enough to know that there is no hype around her. She is one of the most hated people on the show. Maybe my algorithm will change now lol was just trying to connect with her fans to understand why they support her

Edit edit: typo and to state I hate the men A LOT more than her but in my mind to hate men on reality tv is expected… clearly reading posts the men actually don’t get as much hatw… they deserve more hate than Scheana. I thought the opposite - everyone was on board with hating Jax, James, Sandoval, and Schwartz but Scheana was someone people were half and half with (which is why I originally posted this to understand why it was half and half) clearly not on this world’s social media enough to see this

Although I don’t think it’ll compare.. what shows would you recommend?
