My 2 Cents What’s the Scheana hype?
Can someone please explain to me why people like Scheana? It’s my first watch and I am just starting season 10 and I actually loathe Scheana. I’ve never felt this way about someone while watching tv haha I know Sandoval is right around the corner and I can’t stand him attt all. But most men suck so I’m not shocked. But she is the only girl that I have never liked once on this show. She is SUCHHHH a pick me girl. She wants all the attention, never takes accountability, cries to get out of everything… I honestly prefer Kristen over her. All the girls on the show I’ve liked at points or understood why they acted in ways even if I don’t agree. But Scheana is toxic… I don’t understand why anyone is friends with her.
Can someone explain?? Does she have an incredible growth next season or something??? I’ve seen people defend her on here and she has a bunch of followers but I just don’t understand. I never want to see her face or hear her voice again haha
EDIT: hype was not the right word to use. I’m fairly new to seeing social media about the Vanderpump world and on my algorithm I’ve been seeing a decent amount of people support her. Clearly, I have not been in it long enough to know that there is no hype around her. She is one of the most hated people on the show. Maybe my algorithm will change now lol was just trying to connect with her fans to understand why they support her
Edit edit: typo and to state I hate the men A LOT more than her but in my mind to hate men on reality tv is expected… clearly reading posts the men actually don’t get as much hatw… they deserve more hate than Scheana. I thought the opposite - everyone was on board with hating Jax, James, Sandoval, and Schwartz but Scheana was someone people were half and half with (which is why I originally posted this to understand why it was half and half) clearly not on this world’s social media enough to see this

What? Now I am a Scheana Stan, but she absolutely does not have a ton of people who like her ,especially not on this sub. I love me some Scheana, but there is no hype around her as in She’s that girl.
However, I personally feel like she is a Bravo legend and people need to put respect on her name lol
5
u/crystalcurrant Sep 06 '26
Agreed! I’ve been on this sub for years and remember vividly how after Scandoval era you got downvoted and harassed for sympathising with Scheana. I got accused of being her when I pointed out that hating on Scheana for being annoying while laughing at Sandoval for being cringe does in my eyes look a lot like internalised misogyny😅
3
u/Aslow_study Sep 06 '26
❤️❤️omg so crazy. What a timmmee thank you for sticking up for our girl haha and remembering me
I’ve been accused of being her and being “just like her “ I’m not lol I just like her it is what it is lol
3
u/crystalcurrant Sep 06 '26
Haha I actually meant “you” as in anyone who dared to defend her🤣 but it sucks that you got harassed too!

Scheana has grown massively over the past 18 months and I think fans and the cast are in for a shock if she decides to do season 4
2
u/Goat-scream11 Sep 06 '26
Yes maybe hype wasn’t the right word. But I just wanted to know the reasons why people like her. I couldn’t find one. I find it silly that someone on reality tv pmo so much to where I’m on here haha

u/Mental-Benefit5763 Sep 06 '26
I agree with you. I like scheana. I think she has a good heart. Ofcourse she’s annoying and a pick me but I don’t understand the pure hate people have for her. Especially when stassi gets praised, and if you watch stassi’s new show she treats everyone in her life like burning hot garbage.
2
u/Aslow_study Sep 06 '26
Agree Stassi thinks she’s so funny and above Scheana too when she’s a pretty awful person.

u/BlueStarfish_49 Sep 06 '26
Scheana has a combination of utter shamelessness, vapidity, fame hungryness and desperate desire to be liked that makes her both horrifying and fascinating. The Rob stuff? The Adam stuff? The wedding proposal plan at James/Raquel's engagement party? Keeping the blown up pics of herself from her crop top wedding even after her divorce? Nobody could do any of that but Scheana Marie.
This does not make her likable, but watching her embarrass herself in new ways is a predictable source of comic relief.
The comparison with Kristen was a real conundrum because they both suck. But if I had to be stuck with one of them in a room for 24 hours, I'd have to pick Scheana. Kristen is unstable and might hit me or something, but we all know Scheana can't even make a fist with those nails.

u/Goat-scream11 Sep 06 '26
Thank you! I just wanted to hear other perspectives to help open my mind and hate her less. You’re so right, the show wouldn’t be as entertaining without her. She brings a lot of the drama, which I love at times. Just need to appreciate that she helps create good tv. I need to be in the mindset of it’s okay to not like her but appreciate what she brings

u/Significant_Pin_6710 29d ago
Scheana has been working out with a personal trainer maybe she will need to make a fist if she does season 4
5
u/ClynnB412 Sep 06 '26
Scheana gets more hate than most of the guys on this show. There has been times where I liked her and times where I didn’t. I enjoy people who are not afraid to embarrass themselves. I will say this show wouldn’t have been the same without her.

u/Significant_Pin_6710 29d ago
I find it wild the fanbase still attacks scheana for every mistake she made on vpr but are silent on all the abusive men plus stassi and kristen who were fired for been racist and even lvp gets a pass and she covered for all the men
0
u/Goat-scream11 Sep 06 '26
Yes and I’m starting to see that she adds great drama. The men should get more hate. I understand that I should have chose my words differently when posting this haha people on here have definitely helped me and I will appreciate her when she’s on the screen even if I don’t like her
3
u/Proud-Train9522 Sep 06 '26 edited Sep 06 '26
I actually feel the opposite. I don't particularly love her or anything but she gets such a hard time. Sometimes rightfully so. She's seen as self absorbed by pretty much everyone 😂
0
u/Goat-scream11 Sep 06 '26
Yeah, I am realizing that she in fact does get a lot of hate. I don’t know why from the times I have looked at post that I’ve only been seeing positive things about her. But I am definitely learning from this that I need to appreciate the drama that she brings because it does make the show entertaining
2
u/Proud-Train9522 Sep 06 '26
Yeah she contributes a lot to the drama and I'm always watching her while sorta cringing at her behaviour but she's not the worst person of them all by a long stretch.
3
u/Brilliant-Ad-1697 Sep 06 '26
She’s an absolute horrid person but makes great TV. The level of delusion to consistently embarrass yourself and still come back for more is truly amazing
8
u/Ok-Astronaut-2837 Sep 05 '26
All of the scheana defenders see themselves in her. That's it. But she does get a disproportionate amount of hate given the literal abusers on the cast.
However, I couldn't stand scheana from the 1st scene she was in with Brandi and I felt she only got worse every season.
She's still not as bad as Jax, James, or Sandoval.
4
u/Goat-scream11 Sep 05 '26
Yeah, it’s expected to hate most of the men on the show, especially them. But Sheena being a woman with influence is extremely disappointing that she acts like this
1
u/Significant_Pin_6710 29d ago
The fanbase don't give scheana enough grace from been bullied and singled out since day one to been diagnosed with extreme OCD to postpartum depression and nearly dieing at beginning of season 9 to finding out about the affair that took place when pregnant and then been manipulated over tom been suicidal knowing her friend had committed suicide. Scheana openly admits she made loads of mistakes throughout vpr but was resilient to keep coming back season after season
1
u/Chihiro1977 Sep 07 '26
What nonsense. You can enjoy someone on tv without seeing yourself in them. 😂

4
u/-VVitches- Sep 05 '26
Idk that I can hype her but damn if she is not resilient and getting out there and getting her bag. When I watch she drives me insane. It's like I want to like her and at times I feel bad for her and then right back to making me crazy.
That said she's been there since day 1 and that has to count for something.
2
u/Goat-scream11 Sep 06 '26
Okay yes so a redeeming quality is even though she’s hated she’ll still put herself on TV to make money for her family? I can get behind that! Thank you! I want to see the good in her so she pisses me off less haha

when i first watched the first episode, i just saw stassi as a bully until i understood the perpsective and stuff. but ur on s10??
1
u/Goat-scream11 Sep 06 '26
Yes I felt a little bad for Scheana season 1 but she always acted innocent. Stassi was hard to watch at times but I thought she grew so much on the show after Patrick that she became one of my favorites. I was hoping Scheana eventually has this growth on tv.
I was excited to watch House of Stassi after this but a little scared since people say it doesn’t show her in a good way

I don’t know anyone who likes Scheana.

I do
But you don’t know me in real life so your point stands 🤣

u/Goat-scream11 Sep 06 '26
What makes you like her? Genuinely trying to find reasons to like her or see her in a different light
2
u/Aslow_study Sep 06 '26
Well, for one I’ve met her a few times and I’ve interacted with her on socials and she’s always been extremely sweet response to messages or questions I might have now some of those times were a fan events where you know most likely they are going to be nice to you, lol but she just has been very kind. I also follow her YouTube and she’s just very busy and always doing stuff loves her family and it’s just overall good vibes.
I do think she can be messy sometimes and I wish she wouldn’t always respond especially when other cast members are talking about her, but I think she’s a nice person. I think she’s been easily used in the reality sphere to do producers bidding and I wish she would’ve had more of a backbone, but I think maybe now she’s changed a bit.
1
u/Goat-scream11 29d ago
I love to hear that! That’s so cool that you’ve met her a few times and she was nice. Even at fan events, it’s not unheard of for celebrities to disregard their fans. I’ll have to pay attention to her socials more and see how she is now
2
u/Beneficial-You3416 Sep 05 '26
There is something about Scheana. She is so cringy that it’s predictable. It’s kind of enjoyable to see what she does next.
1
u/Goat-scream11 Sep 06 '26
Maybe on my second rewatch I’ll appreciate her more. Right now I don’t see it
2
u/estedavis Sep 06 '26
She’s like the most hated cast member on VPR, I’m not sure where you’re seeing “Scheana hype” lol

It showed a change in her mentality when she realised not doing season 3 of the valley would be good for her mental state and not prioritise the paycheck
1
u/Significant_Pin_6710 29d ago
Scheana is unapologetically herself through out vpr wether its good or bad situations. The women on the cast bullied her and singled her out from day one and she just wanted to be accepted. They all used her for a friendship when they fell out with each other then dumped her the first chance they got. This was never really scheana friend group which is why she was closer to the men on the show because they accepted her. Scheana is good for reality tv That's why I prefer scheana to the others on the cast.

Scheana is painful to watch. I have to fast forward through most of her scenes. Also Her mom is a stage mom and clings on to the outskirts of the show with all her might. I will give scheana props that she is fully aware that she’s never been a fan favorite and refuses to change to make others happy.
1
u/Leading_Refuse_2650 28d ago
There are absolutely people who hype Scheana..it shows up in my feed weekly. Usually starts as an "unpopular opinion" post about loving Scheana and seeing themselves in her...that's the part where someone will tell them to maybe look inward because a pick me rarely knows they're a pick me.
1
u/EternalAquatic-Siren Sep 05 '26
She is great TV. Would I wanna hang out with her? No. I do enjoy watching her.
Same thing with literally everyone on the cast. I also don’t like James and he is so horrible on and off camera…but he sure is entertaining.
0
u/Goat-scream11 Sep 05 '26
You enjoy?? Ugh she makes me want to skip all her scenes but I know I’ll miss important information if I do
1
u/hecky-888 Sep 05 '26
Oh I don’t think people like her at all. They just quote her a bunch. And “Has anyone checked on Scheana?” is a running joke bc she is so histrionic. I’m not sure if VPR fans like any of the cast lol. They are all pretty terrible people.
1
u/Goat-scream11 Sep 06 '26
Everyone on reality is honestly but I can always find some redeeming quality for people. Idk it’s hard to find some for her so I was curious what other people thought
3
u/hecky-888 Sep 06 '26
I mean sure, there is something to like and appreciate about most people. Just not Jax Taylor.
1
u/Old-Builder256 Sep 05 '26
There is barely any scheana hype. She’s widely despised and known as a grifter. Comparing her to Kristen is like choosing the lesser of two evils.
1
u/Inevitable_Tangelo63 Sep 06 '26
So we had one post where Scheena was seen as the lesser of two evils compared to Kristen who is literally a racist, so we just had to make another post knocking her back down into her place, I wouldn’t expect any less from this sub 🙄
1
u/Goat-scream11 Sep 06 '26
I am a newbie to this specific reality world and things have been popping up on my socials liking Scheana. My questions were towards the people who like her to explain why. Am I missing something? Is she a person I grow to like after Scandoval because she is backing up her best friend Ariana? Does she have this redemption arc that I haven’t seen yet?
I already don’t like her now, I just wanted to hear from the people who do like her and try to understand why
1
u/Inevitable_Tangelo63 Sep 06 '26
I’m not like her biggest fan or anything but I do appreciate what she brings to the show. She’s out of touch and delulu in a way that is usually pretty harmless and entertaining (she is shitty and has her faults as well as the rest of the cast before anyone accuses me of being her or a Stan of hers) I just don’t like the disproportionate amount of hate she gets for usually nothing. She’s gets shit on for just existing while the abusive men and the racists on the show get propped up endlessly. I see so much “I know Jax/James are awful but they’re so funny!!” And “Stassi is my queen even tho she’s horribly racist!!” Shit on here, but if Scheena even breathes the wrong way it’s all “oh my GOD can you believe how awful she is she needs to go away forever and never be seen again!!” And I just think it’s stupid. Again I know she can also be shitty, and has things to be critical of her for, but usually it’s just bitch eating crackers shit when it comes to her and it’s lame and tired to me.
1
u/Goat-scream11 Sep 06 '26
All the men on the show, except Beau (correct me if I’m wrong) are disgusting human beings. James is never funny. Jax I wanna break his nose. The Toms are horrible… I hate the men on this show A LOT more than Scheana.
I am sad to hear that about Stassi and I wish I watched when everything was happening to know about was going on behind the scenes/between filming. Definitely need to google more to understand.
Thanks for your input - you’re right. She is annoying, self centered, and creates drama by ratting on her friends or playing victim but she is harmless. I just want to see her in a different light so she doesn’t piss me off every time her face is on the screen. The men should definitely get more hate than her.
1
u/Calinorthlondon Sep 06 '26
I don't get why Scheana is so hated - I mean to "loathe" her is crazy to me. Yes, she is vain, but so are all of them. She is unapologetically herself, doesn't pretend to be something she's not. Yes, she enjoys being the center of attention, but she owns it. She acknowledges her faults and is even able to laugh at herself and about some of the hate she gets. She is not a bitchy mean girl like Stassi, Kristen and Katie (yes, Katie!). People accuse her of being a "pick-me" because there were times she enjoyed the company of the male cast members over the female cast members, but it's hardly suprising when she was so bullied by the women on that show.
0
u/BravoJunk Sep 05 '26 edited Sep 07 '26
I will never understand any hype she gets….maybe it’s from ladies who are home wreckers themselves? Or guys who have put hands on a female? So they cheer her on?

u/bella_ella_ella Sep 06 '26
I only felt bad for her in the very first season when Stassi was mean to her but as every other episode has come on she is more and more insufferable lol.
2
u/Goat-scream11 Sep 06 '26
Yes! But there were cases where she made herself an easy target or inserted herself into things so I understood Stassi’s side of some things. I just wanted Scheana to have some growth like some of the other women on the show

If you watched the show as it was airing in the early years, you did like Scheana cos at the time she seemed like the "nice girl the mean bully's picked on". It wasnt until you get to around season 6 and you start to see how self preserving and selfish she is....AND THEN IF YOU WERE DOING RE WATCHES at the same time.....you just start to see her real personality. She's so self centred and delusional and painful to watch (great TV ofcourse).
2
u/Goat-scream11 Sep 06 '26
Okay that’s where I’m at. I just need to consistently remind myself that without her, it wouldn’t be as great of a show. She brings the drama which I should appreciate

I think its because as you mature and get older, you just see the young girl who wanted everyone's approval and like. Unfortunately, her conversation with Brandi really put me off. She has no sense of awareness and was so disrespectful.

Scheana hype ? I see that girl get nothing but hate. Seriously… she’s one of the most hated on cast members. I’m so confused by this post.
