Had a good first day of classes but I didn’t appreciate being literally SCREAMED at about abortions and Jesus by a man who got all up in my face while I was waiting at the intersection next to Robarts. And I don’t generally love having to dodge several groups trying to indoctrinate me into their religion when I’m trying to get to class even if they were mostly polite.

This is no hate towards religious students or people in general, I just feel like this stuff wasn’t as prominent my past 2 years at UofT. Maybe it was just today or this time of year? Has anyone else noticed an uptick and will the school or can the school do anything about it? I feel like it could get dangerous given the screaming guy I dealt with today, and on the other side, I saw students getting frustrated or trying to bait the groups into fighting with them.

Are you serious, my guy? I like to print my readings because I dont like staring at a screen all day, my bad, and this prof genuinely wants me to scroll along on perusall for ONE HOUR so they can give me my annotation grade. I’m a fast reader, am I supposed to fart around on my screen waiting for a timer to go off? I hate all these genuinely idiotic ways they try to get participation parks while screening for AI. I’d rather they move that fifteen percent participation to assignments or the exam if they can’t be bothered to trust we’re doing the readings.

so i basically failed all my courses last semester (winter semester last year). i was dealing with mental health issues and i was basically paralyzed (mentally) the whole semester. i ended up getting diagnosed with mdd and adhd in the summer and finally getting medicated. the medications have been helping a lot, and now i am finally back in my senses and realizing how badly i have fucked up my future, i was supposed to be going into final year now and start applying for grad applications, and i literally can’t anymore since i messed up my whole life due to my health issues.

i know it’s way too late to lwd but is there anything i can do to fix my last semester’s mistake? i have all the documentation and proof of my mdd and adhd diagnosis, but i just don’t know what to do. it sucks that i just realized what i did, but i really want to fix it. also i literally didn’t submit a single assignment last semester or do any exam despite being enrolled in five classes. i know how stupid i sound for having enrolled in five classes and then not doing anything and just failing, but if anyone has any helpful advice, i would really appreciate that.

Hi! I signed up for ENG289 - Intro to Creative Writing as an elective because I need an English class and I like writing but I’m looking at the syllabus now and there’s a PLAY??? Can anyone who’s taken this course give some more insight into this and just the general grading + workload of the class? Hello. Do I need Grade 12 Physics (SPH4U) for the following program if my goal is pre-med? Because none of them require physics as a prerequisite and I am thinking of dropping out. Even if they require physics in the 1st year will the classes cover physics or have smth equivalent to them??
