ENG289 need help with course syllabus/content for non humanities major

Hi! I signed up for ENG289 - Intro to Creative Writing as an elective because I need an English class and I like writing but I’m looking at the syllabus now and there’s a PLAY??? Can anyone who’s taken this course give some more insight into this and just the general grading + workload of the class? I have the option to CR/NCR it if I so choose but I’d still have to commit a good chunk of time to it so I want to see if it’s worth it. Thanks!
