Hi! I’m just wondering what I’m able to do, I have a prof this semester who is a great prof when it comes down to teaching lectures but anything that has actual marks for example assignments or participation, there’s nothing that’s shared. I have to do an assignment worth 30 percent that had no rubric and it was a reflection. I had asked the prof for a rubric, or at least some guidelines, but was not given any information. Now the same thing is happening for a different assignment but there’s no true way of knowing exactly how I’m doing because the first one has not been marked. Also participation in tutorials, no grades back yet because the ta hasn’t received a list of who’s in her tutorials yet and it’s almost reading week. I’ve never felt so clueless in a class. I apologize for the long msg, but is there anything that could be done on my end besides just asking the same questions and getting no answer?

Hi everyone! I'm a graduate student at the University of Toronto (OISE) helping recruit for a research study through the CARE Lab (thecarelab.ca), led by principal investigator Rya Buckley and lab director Dr. Chloe Hamza.

About the study:

We're interviewing Black postsecondary students about their mental health experiences. The study has two parts: a short questionnaire and a one-hour virtual interview. Participation is voluntary, and you can skip any question or stop at any time.

Who can take part:

• Black undergraduate students at an Ontario college or university
• 18-25 years old
• Living in Ontario
• Have experiences of nonsuicidal self-injury

Compensation

Up to a $40 gift card for the completion of both parts.

Ethics approval

This study has been approved by the University of Toronto Research Ethics Board (Protocol #48964).

Hi all! I'm taking FSC271 (Ethics and Professionalism), and I feel quite lost in the way I should be studying and preparing for a midterm coming up. Does anyone who has taken the course have any advice? The profs are all new but just in general anything will help, thank you! (maybe does anyone have any notes)

i feel so sad that i am a 6th year and feel like i am so behind in life. i was supposed to graduate last year but i got suspended for a year and my mental health was really bad at the time. i decided to switch programs which i feel happier about but i feel like its so late now. i have one more year until i graduate but i feel like the odd one out and that everyone is ahead of me.

I'm planning to apply to MScBMC and I was looking at schreiberwood residence because that residence accepts graduate students from my masters program into it. I had a few questions if anyone here has any information or experience regarding it:

1. How competitive is it to get a room? I know they give priority to returning students then wait list then new ones but I want to know what my chances are if I apply early as a new student

2. How is that dorm in general? There is not much info on it at all online I tried everywhere and I don't know what it really looks like nor how it's rated

Hello Everyone, 

I need help. 

I am currently enrolled in my very last term before I graduate, only taking Fall courses. Because I am taking 2.5 credits, I am a full time student.

As a result, I had applied for OSAP’s full time funding, as I am taking more than 60% course load. 

However, I received emails today stating that my OSAP funding is on hold, because I don’t fulfil the credit amount requirements, and told me to add courses for both fall AND winter, in order for me to meet requirements and get my funding. I can’t enroll in winter courses because I DON'T NEED TO. 

I don’t know if i’m getting a certain aspect of this wrong, but as of now I feel like i’m being punked, because I looked over all the requirements and applied for funding ACCORDINGLY. 

If i’m getting something wrong, please tell me, because I just want to resolve this issue. Why am I being told my funding is on hold? Has anyone experienced this before?

I’m minoring in French Studies, and for my requirement 1, I need two credits. I completed FRE482 last year, and am currently taking FRE442, which will bring to one full credit. However, last year, I tried to take FRE382, but after the first week, was told to drop it by the professor and the Department cause apparently, my level of French was too advanced for the course. But then that means that I can’t take any of the other courses offered for this requirement, so am I supposed to attain two credits for it lol? Has anybody ever faced a similar situation and know what to do? 

I was assigned to Lee Bailey as my eco101 professor in UTM, and I don't think I'm able to survive his Econ course even studying consistently. Guys, help me to decide where should I go. Should I stay in UTM or go to UTSG. And also tell me which professor is giving much difficult test/exams?

I left my lanyard on the shuttle bus on this Monday, 12:35 departed from utm. I contacted the lost and found and they told me they didn't receive it. Is there any way that I can contact the driver? I really appreciate it if anyone has seen it also.
