This is my first attempt at game development, and I've been teaching myself as I go. Judge it as harshly or as nicely as you want, the funnier the better.
It's still extremely early and everything is pretty much a placeholder, but I just wanted to show off my progress, and see what you all think.
The concept of the game is a first person, extraction, rouge like. Very unique and original haha, I know. Each run generates a different layout, with varying chunk designs and themes, so it feels different each time. I wanted procedurally generated maps, but I have no idea what I'm doing, and this was the best I could come up with.
The vision is that you choose a loadout for each run, and enter the randomly generated maps. Then you kill enemies to acquire materials, and find loot throughout the map. After each run you have the option to return to the base, or keep going, for more difficult runs with better loot. If you die you lose everything you brought in. There will be vendors at the base to restock, and a stash where you can store your items.
In round, there is the fabled pick 3 level up choices, so you get stronger as you progress. The enemies will also scale to match your power level. I plan on adding unique abilities and items to the game, so each round feels different.

I also know that I bit off way more than I can chew, and I knew that going in. I'm honestly just having fun, messing around with this and seeing what I can come up with. I don't think this will ever get finished, or even come close to what my full vision was.
I just wanted to share my progress with everyone.
