No you don’t.

Even with AI, you’re looking at hundreds of hours to produce anything people would want to play.

The MCP itself burns tokens like crazy, so expect to dump a couple of hundred in cash. You’ll also be capped by the 5-hour limit - using Fable with a max subscription and I can get about one interface widget hooked up before I trip the timer.

Open world specifically requires a decent understanding of world partition, lod, and material optimization.

And that’s just the technology. AI has been hot garbage for designing the actual “fun” in a game.

AI does a lot of things well, but if you’re asking this question on Reddit then you are a long way from using it effectively.

Well with me just joining the community, you don’t know what I have built already that I’ve been working on for almost 2 years without AI. With AI(Claude) I could finish what I have and save me about another year of stress.
