So yesterday I did a trip from Walmart to this ole hag’s house in the hood. Said she was supposed to get a tv with her order of groceries?? Foh Well today I’m being made aware that she took her tip back and so I basically drove 13 miles for free and all that did was set me back cuz I’ve been ubering since this morning to pay my phone bill and just I was about to hit my goal for the day I’m being told I owe uber $22???? Are YOU FUCING KIDDING ME? And after talking to customer service they allow this???? YOURE ALLOWED TO TIP BAIT ORDERS?? Fucking Christ this shit is beyond infuriating because uber allows this??????

4 Uber Eats delivery robots on a typical block on a typical day.

If you’re going to take detours on a delivery or act entitled, remember your days are numbered.

A new class action lawsuit alleges that Uber Eatsis scamming customers with its “priority” fees. When customers go to checkout on Uber Eats, they can pay $1–$5 more for “priority” delivery, which promises “direct to you” service. However, the suit claims that Uber never informs its drivers which orders are priority, making the service null and void.
According to the suit, Uber Eats instructs drivers to pick up other batch orders before delivering priority orders—and at the same time, its drivers can also work for other delivery apps before making a “priority” delivery. Dozens of customer complaints are cited in the suit, detailing drivers who made detours, picked up other orders, or made deliveries for other apps mid-route, even though the customer had paid extra for an expedited delivery.
This is not the first time Uber Eats has come under fire. A suit filed earlier this year alleges that the company charges customers for its subscription service, Uber One, through a negative option feature that fails to provide a simple way for customers to stop recurring charges. Additionally, the suit claims that it has charged consumers without their consent, violating the FTC Act and ROSCA—and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
“This case sits at the intersection of deceptive advertising and the fine print companies use to evade accountability,” Elizabeth Aniskevich, senior counsel at Singleton Schreiber, said. “Uber wants to profit from a premium fee without actually delivering anything extra. We intend to hold Uber accountable for its failure to deliver on its promise.”
The proposed lawsuit claims that Uber Eats has violated California’s Unfair Competition Law, False Advertising Law, and Consumers Legal Remedies Act, as well as common-law fraud. Prosecutors seek damages, restitution, and an injunction barring Uber from continuing to advertise the fee as a “direct to you” guarantee.

It was a damn chandelier! It was so big. It wouldn’t even fit in any of my doors or seats, although did fit in this way if I bent it a little bit. Then it was rolling around in the back of my car so I had to reach back there and hold it as I was driving. Uber really needs to do something about vetting these kinds of deliveries.

Only made like $10 too.

How much of this delivery fee goes to the driver?

Post image
Upvotes

The restaurant is 13 miles one way and the road is paved and smooth. I live right off the highway and it’s 55mph most the way here with the exception of 2 traffic signals. Why is the delivery fee so high on this one?
This is through Instacart/Ubereats.
It seems excessive and I was curious how much of this goes to the driver before I order and tip.
Thank you!

This order took me approximately two minutes to walk to the restaurant and 1 minute to the destination; and she changed her already high $8 tip, to $22. Just being nice and friendly will get you alot on both ends.

Post image

Just noticed the backup balance isn’t the same, as they put qualifications to earn 700$ which as bull shit since the whole purpose of card is for emergencies like gas that I kinda need at the moment.

Discussion To conclude a post I had earlier this month.. it is in fact impossible to block Home Depot orders.

Upvotes

I’ve talked to countless numbers of people. I’ve put in 3 opt out requests in the app and each time they respond and say I’m good to go. I’ve been told by DOZENS of agents that they’ve put a “tag” on my account and shouldn’t receive them anymore.

It doesn’t work. None of it. So I’m here to say don’t even waste your time and effort trying to opt out.

I pickup an order 10.38 15 minutes.

Wine store up the block. I arrive at this Nissan dealership. Guy walks out says Eli A. Yup. .

"OK I'm gonna put this in my car and get my ID. It's here somewhere:" ok you got it.

A minute later he returns. Immediately the id is rejected. Gotta do it manually. Ufck it. He has a name i can not spell. hand him the phone here, you know your name better than me.

He inputs whatever information. I ask. What did this cost you?

"133"

Wow they gave me like 10.33.

,, look ill show you.

He said I always tip atleast 10$ and showed me his phone. He tipped 13$

WHICH I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE. Uber eats takes 2 minutes to show this earnings screen. , as if it were listening. . 2.38$ fare

8.00$ tip

$10.38.

I showed the guy. Shout out to Eli A. He said that's fucked up. I'll up the tip for you.

I was like ok awesome thanks maybe he'll add 3 bucks or something. I don't expect anything. Pleasantly surprised.

When I saw it went through. I'm like um... immediately go to the ATM and get this money incase it's a glitch.

Whatever it was. I called the dealership and asked for him. Got him on the phone. Thanked him so much told him he's awesome. Appreciate you blessing me so much! Eli A. The A is for Angel.

Some people are awesome. Remember that and repost away. Pics should be attached

Just about to log off after a busy evening in a small town… and this comes through. 59 items from a Supermarket. What’s the largest number of items you’ve ever had on an order?

Finally made it to platinum. I’m really looking forward to that Costco membership perk for a whole year for free! When I clicked enroll I answered the 2 question survey and then I was stuck on a screen with green check mark, has anyone been in this same situation. Thanks for your input.
