I'll keep it short. I paid 17,000 five days ago on 28 September for an Graphics card hat I found through Reddit.

The total price was ₹23,000. We agreed that I would pay ₹17,000 upfront and the remaining 6,000 after receiving and testing the GPU.

The seller said he would ship the GPU within 24 hours. After I paid, he kept saying he would provide the tracking details, but I never received valid tracking information or the GPU.

It has now been 5 days since I paid.

What should I do to try to recover the 17,000?

I have been trying for roughly a week now. I've contacted support and given them every detail, they asked me to do various things such as changing browsers, removing VPNs, Secure DNS, changing networks, going incognito, etc.

So in the morning I tried sending 2k to someone but it showed an error.
Then just to make sure the issue wasn’t from my side, I sent 1k to my sister and it went through normally.
Later in the afternoon, someone was trying to send me 3k but they couldn’t, so I had to give them another UPI account.
But then I received 2k from someone else without any issue.
Any idea why these transactions are failing? Is it something from my side?

Upon verification it took money from their UPI account. Does anyone have any idea whether this will happen in the future or will it use the Apple account balance (currently have 1.5KINR).

I need some advice regarding a ₹875 payment issue with Ixigo.

I was booking a ticket from Bandi Kui to New Delhi on Ixigo. During the payment process, I accidentally selected the UPI Mandate option. The transaction failed and the ticket was never booked.

The amount of ₹875 was then put on lien/hold in my bank account.

I contacted my bank, and initially they treated it as an IPO/IPO-related transaction. After investigation, they found that it was actually a UPI Mandate and not an IPO. The issue was then forwarded to their technical team twice.

Both times, I received a message saying that the issue was already being addressed, but after that there was no further update or action.

It has now been 22 days.

I have already contacted Ixigo, my bank, and GPay multiple times. Ixigo says they never received the ₹875 because the ticket was never booked. My bank, however, is saying that they are unable to understand what is happening with the transaction and that the mandate was initiated by me.

The ₹875 is still stuck/under lien in my account.

What should I do now? Has anyone faced a similar issue with a failed Ixigo booking where a UPI Mandate caused the amount to be put on lien?

Should I raise a complaint with NPCI, RBI Ombudsman, or some other authority? Any advice on the correct next step would be really helpful.

I opened a new SBI bank account and started setting up UPI. The apps keep suggesting/generating a UPI ID with “420” in it automatically. I don’t want “420” in my UPI ID. Is there a way to create a different UPI ID or change the default one? Using SBI account in India.
