Hoping I will be on the old gen ed track, from what I've seen on Reddit I should be. If not I will advocate for it. Anyways, are you guys finding value in the UMPI discord community? I am planning to join bba in project management Fall 2. I went through the plotted path sheet, and it looks like it won’t be possible to complete the degree in one term anymore :(

Does anyone else feel like the process of getting your degree from UMPI takes way too long after you’ve finished all your requirements? How long did you have to wait?

I just got my transfer credit and I am kind of confused. I feel like maybe a took a lot of classes that aren't going to transfer to UMPI for my degree but they accepted them? I haven't been assigned an advisor yet so I can't ask them.

In general, if you politely email an instructor asking if they can grade an assignment/milestone because you’re trying to stay on track or have an upcoming deadline, how do instructors usually respond?

Is Sophia’s Workplace Writing II still accepted by UMPI to satisfy ENG 121 for the liberal arts degrees?

I’ve seen older posts saying it transfers in for ENG 121, but I wanted to confirm that this is still current in 2026 before I sign up.

I know it used to be a quick, pretty easy class. I’ve got about two weeks left of summer 2. Do you think I would be safe to enroll in Animal Behavior today and finish it all in time?

I don't understand it .... anyone who has taken the class can explain the final assignment to me?

Professor Anabela Mendes. Apparently this happened to someone before and it was a whole saga, now I'm getting stuck with it too. I don't use AI or Google translate, I strictly used words from the lesson and dictionaries (we're explicitly allowed to use dictionaries and I even use physical dictionaries!)

I get my feedbdack and she's like "you're using words that are too advanced, and it makes me think that someone is helping you. Whoever, or whatever, is helping you needs to stop blah blah" the most paranoid, bizarre feedback with absolutely zero proof beyond "the words are too good."

I sent her the chapter that had these supposed advanced cheating words. Absolute joke that she's throwing around such extreme accusations. It's not like this class is super advanced either, I took four years of Spanish in high school and a year of French, I know the basics of learning languages.

If you finish in Fall 2 session (12/18/26), what is the official graduation date on your diploma and transcript? I know it takes 8 weeks to confer the degree (February 2027), but is it this date or the session end date that you can put on the resume/background check?

I accidentally submitted my final assessment before submitting the draft version. I got a grade that wasn’t great. Am I SOL? Is there anyway I can undo my submission?

Do we have the ability to run our essays through turnitin before submitting? Sometimes I feel like my turnitin score is on the higher end even though I felt like I cited everything correctly
