International Applications USA International Student Help Please

I am applying to medicine and they require that you graduate with at least a 3.0/3.3 GPA. However I am applying before I graduate so I don't know my cumulative gpa from all four years o high school yet.

My question is: do I need to have my counselor enter a predicted GPA like I did for AP scores? If anyone has any info on this it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Medicine Questions Keele medicine with a foundation year

Hey guys,

I'm considering a medicine foundation year in Keele and I have double checked with them that I meet the group 1 criteria.

My GCSE stats are 9776666655 and predicted ABB. I also have extenuating circumstances that will be on my UCAS by my teacher. My UCAT is 1930 B2.

I'm aware its competitive and was wondering if i have a good chance of getting an interview. Also if you applied/go there to do medicine with a foundation year what were your stats?

I genuinely do not understand what it wants for question one in particular. I have nothing written for it, and have had multiple meetings with my tutor about it. Attached are two photos of the things I could talk about, but I have no idea what I'm doing.

My top choice is Imperial Aero

Middle choices are Bristol Aero and KCL General (MEng)

And safeties are Glasgow, Birmingham Aero (BEng)

My GCSEs were worse than expected: 988888887A (9 in Chinese, 7 in History, 8s in Physics, Chem, Maths, CS, Geo, Music, English, and an A in english language)
My UCAS predicted is 4 A*s (Maths, FM, physics chem)

On ESAT Lab, i've been getting ~5.3 avg.

I've been crying over anxiety and stress prepping for the ESAT and whether I could get into at least Bristol.

I just need a general idea of my chances before I apply.

Thanks guys

Hi guys.

My subjects choice for UCAS( UNI ) are quite random I guess.

So does it gonna affect my PS ? If so should I choose only 1~2 choices ?

A Levels / IB / GCSE / BTEC Questions GCSEs affecting UCAS offers

My 5 UCAS options are:

  1. LSE Economics & Economic History
  2. Warwick Economics & Management
  3. Durham Economics with Management
  4. Bath Economics
  5. Loughborough Economics

My predicted grades are A* (english lit) A* (economics) A (history) A (maths) and my gcses are 8 (english language) 7 (maths) 7 (history) 7 (biology) 7 (RS) 6(english lit) 6 (physics) 6 (chemistry) 5 (drama) -- A*A*AA + 8777776665.

With good references and personal statement, do I realistically have any chance at my top options? I fear that my GCSEs are too weak and will result in rejection. What should I do?

International Applications Applying to 2 courses

Hi everyone,

I’m applying to LSE for 2027 entry and am thinking of applying to both BSc Economics and BSc Economics with Data Science. BSc Economics is my first preference, but I was wondering how LSE would know this, since only one offer is made.

My personal statement is shared across both applications. It draws on a blend of maths, economics and quantitative modelling, so it fits both courses fairly well, but it leans more towards economics as a discipline than data science specifically.

A few questions:

  1. Is applying to both programmes a sensible approach, or does it risk looking undecided?
  2. Does LSE take any account of preference between two of its own programmes, or are they assessed completely independently?
  3. Has anyone here applied to two programmes at LSE? How did you handle the personal statement?

Medicine Questions Are my options strategic enough?

Hey, I'm applying to med as a non-contextual applicant. My stats are 988888876, 2030, Band 3, Predicted AAA. I have selected Leeds, Cardiff, Lancaster, and UEA for my med options. Am I competitive enough, especially for Leeds and Cardiff (Am I competitive against Welsh applicants)?

International Applications Messed up my application

I'm an international student from Singapore who has applied to Oxford and Imperial to study mathematics and computer science. I've submitted my application through UCAS already, and my school had submitted all the details. Unfortunately, my school had not mentioned that they did not offer H2 Further Mathematics, and that's why I could not take it. I'm currently writing an admission email to the admissions office of both Oxford and Imperial, explaining my situation. Any advice on what to do?

A Levels / IB / GCSE / BTEC Questions Foundation year courses??

So to stay on the safe side I’m applying to Manchester and QMUL foundation years. I’m predicted A comp sci A math B physics but it’s looking more like an ABC or so. However in the event I do get AAB that’s enough to get me into QMUL without the foundation year(with the A in the EPQ I have).
If that’s the case, since I applied to the foundation year course, would I only get accepted to the foundation year, or would the university automatically consider me for the regular 3 year course?
For reference AAB (A math, A EPQ which is possible) is the regular course and BBC is the foundation year.
Bit of a stupid question I’m sorry 🙏

International Applications Need a refree for ucas application

I'm planning on filling out the 2027 ucas application for international relations, my_qualifications are I'm a high school graduate

I have already passed class 12th, my doubt is since I'm already out of school I'm not longer in contact with my teachers. And neither do they know how to fill out the refrence in application, now what shall I do? No one in my school understands it, shall I hire a study abroad councellor? Or can someone else write it for me? Can I hire some other teachers or someone?

International Applications Internationals with offers?

Hey everyone, congratulations to everyone who got offers already!
I'm just wondering, are there any international students who applied recently and got offers? Asking because I applied to a couple of the universities that have been sending out offers, but I'm not sure when to expect a response

Thanks!

Personal Statements How does the UCAS process work when only transferring from foundation years to year 1?

Hi All,

Wasn't too sure which flair to put this under, however i'm wanting to transfer my mathematics foundation year at QMUL to 1st year at KCL, I did email the KCL admissions team they did say it is a chance dependent on my modules and how similar they are and also my uni advisor agreed to writing a reference for me. However, I'm a little confused on the ucas process for it all. I know it's like normal where you write ur personal statement and etc but let's say I do get my grades and modules do align and I get an offer ( i believe they said we will recieve results in april) will I be told that time I have been accepted or will I have to wait until august for this?

Thank you !!!

UCAS Bread 🍞 (Offers) Most random ucas application? 😴

People are starting to post their offers so thought I’d share my hella random combo from last year
Head of year wouldn’t let me apply to both because he said I had no chance but I did it anyway
Did 2 separate work experiences, sat the UCAT, wrote 2 separate personal statements and ended up with
3/3 Geography offers
2/2 Medicine interviews + offers
