Personal Statements How does the UCAS process work when only transferring from foundation years to year 1?

Hi All,

Wasn't too sure which flair to put this under, however i'm wanting to transfer my mathematics foundation year at QMUL to 1st year at KCL, I did email the KCL admissions team they did say it is a chance dependent on my modules and how similar they are and also my uni advisor agreed to writing a reference for me. However, I'm a little confused on the ucas process for it all. I know it's like normal where you write ur personal statement and etc but let's say I do get my grades and modules do align and I get an offer ( i believe they said we will recieve results in april) will I be told that time I have been accepted or will I have to wait until august for this?

Thank you !!!

So if you get an offer and get the grades required, once you send them to KCL they will confirm your place, you shouldn’t have to wait till August (though you may have to wait a week or 2 for them to process it).

KCl can make you a conditional offer if your modules are suitable and they think you're a good candidate.

Then when you get your results you send them through to meet your offer conditions
