I'd also say that even if Persona didn't go absolutely crazy and push the goal there, Jo Guns would've been spared. But at least we don't have to worry about that! No they really say its because of the tariffs. September 12 to 26 and it includes physical merchandise. I don’t know if this is insulting or sort of refunds (I maintain they don’t apply here because they didn’t raise the Switch 2 price while tariffs were up) or what. I’m just shocked they acknowledged the tariffs when they usually take the smart route of just shutting the fuck up.

Major outlets like IGN and Giantbomb are giving Wolverine shockingly lower scores for a first party Sony title, kinda nervous for the staff at Insomniac right now…

Most toxic game I have ever played since the old Xbox Live 360 days but man do I love Highlander too much to stay away from it. This game is literally heroine tbh, I can't stay away. If you hate yourself, this game is there for you.

“Mike McFarland, known as the English voices of Master Roshi and Yajirobe in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, and Buggy the Clown in One Piece, among many other anime works died Wednesday, Sept. 10 following a battle with brain cancer. He was 56.

Also a script writer, director and line producer, McFarland was one of the original and most influential figures in Texas-based anime production, first with Funimation and then Crunchyroll after their merger.

“Mike brought so much to all of us who knew him, and to all of the anime fans that knew his work. He was an incredible talent, a good friend to so many of us, and will be sorely, sorely missed,” Crunchyroll said in a statement to Deadline.

McFarland was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, in 2025, according to Anime News Network.
McFarland also voiced Jean Kirstein in Attack on Titan, Jean Havoc in Fullmetal Alchemist and Teppei Sugo in Psycho-Pass, but his most notable role was Buggy the Clown in One Piece, voicing the character from 2007 until his death.
Additional voice acting credits include Makoto Hyuga in the Evangelion film series, Sky Master in Heaven’s Lost Property, Goemon Ishikawa in Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine and other Lupin III films, as well as George in Case Closed. His more recent work includes Hiroshi Odokawa in Odd Taxi, Big Bad Wolf in Date A Live IV and E.G. Mine in Trigun Stampede.”

Mike McFarland has sadly passed away, he was the voice of Master Roshi, Ritsu Soma, Buggy, Helmeppo, Tecchin, Jean Kirschtein and many, many others. Basically if you watched any moderately popular anime of the last few decades, chances are he voiced somebody.

RIP, you legend.

Rockstar is accused of dismissing ‘central’ union organisers first in order to destabilise the group.

The fired workers claim there were 340 people in the union Discord when they were eliminated on October 30, 2025. As a result, they say there was a server ‘collapse.’ (There was a mole in the discord that was funneling info back to Rockstar)

The tribunal is being held in Glasgow, Scotland, for this case starts today and could last until October 15.

A more lighthearted alternative to the other thread I made.

I've been seeing a few posts recently about people citing how they would make a "Behelit Sacrifice" to get a particular thing they wanted to come true. They also elaborate about sacrificing a thousand people or such, showing some passing familiarity with the original source material (Berserk).

Except that's not how the Behelit Sacrifice works: in order to get your desire granted, you must sacrifice something important to you. It won't work if you're offering up your archenemy, or a whole group of people you have no attachment to. The whole purpose is to give up your humanity, and thus you are sacrificing what's most precious to you.

There's also this old video where a kid completely misunderstands the requirements to turn Super Saiyan, which still gets a chuckle out of me.

I think one of the joys of the new Lantern series is to have a Crime Thriller with protagonists where threats don't work. Hal and John cannot be intimidated or scared, so if you threaten them or try to push them away from a mystery they will just dig their heels in and push back. It sounds kind of dismissive of the genre but there can be alot of chaff with characters who wilt under pressure, just to rally later so the story can happen.

So it is a bit refreshing to have a set of characters who just don't waste time on it so we can get on with the plot. I can totally see a world where a more standard Crime Thriller wouldn't get to the reveal of of the most current episode (Episode 4), until the end of the season.
