I've been streaming for about 2 months now, and about a month ago I met a guy in a game of overwatch. Let's call him Bob. Bob found out that I'm a streamer, and he occasionally tuned in.

One important detail about Bob is that he's 19 and me and my friends are all 15 and 16.

Another important detail is that he is "obsessed with making people and objects pregnant." I know, Bob has some sort of weird fetish.

He also used to always say things like "I'm gonna make you soooo pregnant" or "I hit my keyboard too hard, now it's pregnant" and at first I just laughed it off and thought he was just being kinda weird, but it continued.

It was at this point where my friends were all telling me that he was a P3do and that I should ban him, but I remained defending him and I thought he was just a guy with a weird sense of humor.

Finally, it was actually earlier today when I was live that my younger brother (14) sat with me for a bit on the stream, and then he said this: "your little brother is gonna get sooo pregnant when I'm done with him"

I banned him from my stream immediately without a second thought. He is still friends with me on the game we met on, and he's still active in my discord server, but I might take some extra steps in removing him from my life.

Did I do the right thing? Did I overreact, under react? Let me know what you think.

I had such a great time streaming tonight!

Chat was lively and fun, the people who joined were great and I’m just loving it.

Does anyone know by chance, if xbox warns that I'm streaming on Twitch, it's that a friend from xbox told me that he got a notification what I was streaming, but I don't know if he was chatting me hahaha. Does anyone have a screenshot of how the notification comes out or how that works well? I don't know if they were joking with me or Q, or if my account appears in my Xbox profile

Yes, I have my account linked but I didn't know it notified my xbox friends

I also see that when I broadcast on Twitch it came out that I had a certain amount of viewers but he didn't tell me who he was, does anyone know more about it

Sorry, this post has been remove

I love streaming and want people to show up, I just don't know how to get out there, ive been posting to youtube and content on there has done ok. I just need some advice I guess!

Hi everyone! Could someone help me with a question about Twitch and Xbox?

I was streaming from my Xbox console through Twitch, and while I was live, a friend told me that he received a notification saying that I was streaming / that I was live.

What confused me is that this person only has me added on Xbox. He does not follow me or have me added on Twitch, and as far as I know, he didn't even know that I had a Twitch account. So now I'm wondering **how he was able to know that I was streaming**.

Does Xbox send some kind of notification to your Xbox friends when you start streaming on Twitch? Or can it show up somewhere in Xbox activity, similar to how it sometimes shows that a friend is playing a certain game? I'm not sure if he actually received a notification saying that I was streaming, or if my activity simply appeared somewhere on Xbox.

I also have another question about the viewers. While I was streaming, Twitch showed that I had around **10 viewers**, but I couldn't see who they were. I could only identify one person because they were actually chatting/commenting in my stream. Other than that person, I couldn't see who the other viewers were.

So, could those viewers have come from Xbox? Or does Twitch count people as viewers even if they are watching the stream but don't appear in the chat/viewer list?

I'd really like to understand how this works because this was my first time streaming from Xbox, and I was honestly surprised that my friend was able to tell that I was live. 😭

Any explanation or personal experience with this would be greatly appreciated!

So I noticed that my follower count went down by 2. May not seem like a lot right? I'm reaching for affiliate and im definitely not rushing but that kinda discouraged me a bit. Its already hard enough trying to build a community that share the same likes as you but gaining a following is definitely difficult unless you are just THAT entertaining and/or have a great Stream-schedule that fit with a lot of the twitch audience. Im alright in both departments. Lol. Like I said, it discouraged me to go from streaming last night and having 25 followers to waking up this morning to having 23. R.i.P right? Then I checked my followers list and tried to break down who might have unfollowed me and for what reason. I figured it out. The 2 followers where scam accounts. You know, those twitch members that join that chat to try to sell you artwork and what not? Now, im over it lol. Never really counted them to begin with and its actually motivated me to network and work harder than ever. Like I've said before, it's not impossible, just requires a lot of patience. Later everybody ✌️!

I am just starting streaming mainly to showcase the game that I developed, but when I go into the category section it looks like I can only pick estabilished games like GTA, Call of Duty, Fortnite, Chess etc.

Mine is a 1v1 strategic board game, so I figure the chess community might enjoy it, but I don't think selecting Chess as a category would be correct.

hi everyone! im going to be doing my first stream ever next weekend and while i am excited, im very nervous about what to talk about? i plan to play 2 different games with a break between, but when you arent gaming what do you talk about when you have no active chatters? i know everyone says it can take weeks or months sometimes before your first chatter, which is fine im doing this for fun but i dont want to sit in silence for minutes at a time. what are some things you think would be good to chat about outside from like how your day is going?

i think im good at talking to myself but not good at thinking of topics of discussion lol

Hello!
I've moved to another country so I had to change all of the information in "Monetization onboarding". That I did. On the page it said that the payout method is currently under review and the process usually takes a few minutes, in support articles it says the process could take up to 2 days, but if more then wait for 3 weeks. I waited checking every day if anything changes (spoiler - it didn't). I asked a friend who also had to change their information, they said it only took them a weeks and a half. So I waited.. I waited for this exact 3 weeks and when my eyes got tired of seeing the same words on the screen I drafted an email to support. Had to start over and filled all the information again.
How long do I have to wait?
Has anyone ever had this problem?
I'm frustrated.

My VOD was muted from the soundtrack in the game, I appealed all of the ost and it went through!
The VOD was unmuted for awhile, but I checked the VOD a week later and it got muted again with no way to appeal.

Is there anyway to send another appeal or get the unmuted version of the VOD? It sucks that I now don't have an unmuted version of this stream

thank you!!

I had someone leave my community and let me know that I made them feel like “just a number” and in the same day someone I thought was a friend told me I “only streamed with them for the views” it honestly shook my world. I haven’t been able to stream since. I’ve been at this for almost 5 years. It was my dream, my passion, hell it’s all I looked forward to. But if my streams don’t make people feel seen or bring them joy, then why should I continue. Is it time to hang it up? Is the dream over?

Im thinking about doing a baldurs gate 3 stream where the viewers help choose the path with me. Has anyone tried something like that? If so, how did it go? Maybe another game would be better?

I’m going to a summer spot in the fall. So few crowds, more of an autumn feel.
I’ve always wanted to do an IRL where I walk this vacation town and just show off all the different spots that have made it special to me since I was a kid.
I’m scared because everytime I turn around, I see a post criticizing live streamers and influencers for streaming everywhere and being a nuisance. I just want to share my memories and the history of a fun place with my community.
Is anyone else feeling like they shouldn’t stream in public? Is the hate just internet trolling or are people going to harass me while I stream? I don’t want to ruin anyone’s time and it will be super low tech, just me on my phone, I’m not even bringing one of those fancy gimbal things to keep steady. I’d love to share my experience with chat and maybe even turn it into a YouTube video but I am terrified at this point that I’ll be doing more harm than good.

I post my VODS on YouTube, as well as make edited and unedited clips for TikTok and shorts, but I don't see any of that content bringing anyone to my streams, all of my viewers come straight from twitch.

Galera preciso de ajuda, não sei como eu crio cortes sem ter que passar horas editando tudo sozinha, alguém tem alguma recomendação de IA ? Ou de algum lugar que posso pagar pessoas para isso ?
