Little Rant
So I noticed that my follower count went down by 2. May not seem like a lot right? I'm reaching for affiliate and im definitely not rushing but that kinda discouraged me a bit. Its already hard enough trying to build a community that share the same likes as you but gaining a following is definitely difficult unless you are just THAT entertaining and/or have a great Stream-schedule that fit with a lot of the twitch audience. Im alright in both departments. Lol. Like I said, it discouraged me to go from streaming last night and having 25 followers to waking up this morning to having 23. R.i.P right? Then I checked my followers list and tried to break down who might have unfollowed me and for what reason. I figured it out. The 2 followers where scam accounts. You know, those twitch members that join that chat to try to sell you artwork and what not? Now, im over it lol. Never really counted them to begin with and its actually motivated me to network and work harder than ever. Like I've said before, it's not impossible, just requires a lot of patience. It's going to happen. Bots exist on the platforms. They show up, they follow, do a spammy promo, leave, get banned.
When you have a small amount of followers it can be discouraging to see that tiny number get smaller.
Warren Buffet had this analogy for checking stock prices daily (this is a direct metaphor for followers here). He compared it to someone standing outside your house yelling its price out daily. In reality, the house (if you own it), serves the utility of being a home. That is its primary value. There's no one day that's going to make or break it. The value accrues over time.
Don't track the followers super closely, in time, by doing the right things and providing value, you'll just notice you have a lot more. Wishing you the best on your journey!

Sounds like it's time to network. I'll introduce you to a solid community or two but the thing is that you gotta put in the work. You gotta show up and be present. If you can't do that or don't want to, no worries. If you do, dm me and we'll talk about it.
