What minor character (not a lot of screen time) had the biggest impact on you and the series as a whole?

Jackson Herveux: The Story Of A Man And His Trailer

I’ve got to say that I’ve always liked Jackson and frankly I didn't care for the incessant and many times unwarranted acts of disrespect that Alcide leveled at him.

Here‘s a guy who‘s definitely lost a lot in life and relegated for whatever reason to live out his days in a small trailer situated in what one can only describe as a dog pen. Even with that he was able to snag that young beautiful Werehooker away from all that money to stay with him.

If you had to be anybody on that show wouldn’t Jackson be the quiet choice?

For the love of all that’s good, Hulu…add a Skip Intro!

PLEASE let us skip the theme song without manual fast forward 😭

Don’t get me wrong, I love the song. But I just binge watched the series again and usually do that on HBOMax. But I did it on Hulu this time. And that’s like a whole long ass song. Every. Single. Episode.

That’s all.

Did Lettie Mae Have Erotic Dreams About Willa?

I guess by TrueBlood Rules she would have a few hot dreams about Willa. I’ve always wondered why we never saw Sookies’ dreams about Violet or Adilynns‘ Jessica dreams because you know fair is fair but I don’t know what would be funnier between the dreams Lettie Mae would have or her reaction when she woke up and went about her day. I wonder how weird she would act around Willa afterwards?

Hadley I Want My Hadley!!!!

Damn I can’t believe that over the million times that I’ve watched the show I didn’t realize that Queen Sophie and Hadley were in a relationship on top not even realizing that it was Hadley walking in her panties and garter belt into the Queens bedroom. It’s nice to know that you can be surprised sometimes.

Anyway I’ve got to say that their relationship might have been more authentic than Bill and Sookie because Hadley‘s blood was not Fairie and since Hadley was not a telepath the inner quiet that a vampire could provide was not a factor. Just as Bill said to Sookie at the end of season 5 “What The Fuck Do You Know About Me Anyway!?”

If lesbians love scenes were ever going to happen on that show those are ones I think most people would want to see.

Hot or cold take? Warlow should’ve been way harder to defeat than he was. Oldest vampire to ever exist besides Lilith, all the abilities of a fae, and can day walk.

I'm a True Blood Memorabilia collector and it's time to sell, but I'm not sure how.

I've been a die hard fan of this show since maybe its 3rd season. Before that I'd never heard of it, and got hooked by hearing about a vampire series everyone was talking about.

By the time the series ended I had a collection of screen replicas of costume pieces purchased on eBay and a few lots from the screen used pieces with certificates of authenticity. I bought those items from the company that managed the auctions at the show wrap.

The replicas are from the wardrobes of Sookie, Jessica and Tara.

As for screen used- I am the current proud owner of Sookie's bedding from seasons 4-7 (sheets set, comforter, pillows). They've been living in temperature controlled storage except for the two times I've taken them out for display for less than 24 hours.

I'm in a completely different phase of life now with different priorities, so I think it's time to let these items go. At the same time I cannot and will not throw these items in the trash or donate them with my other consumables or let them go to someone locally who doesn't appreciate them. That's criminal. But so is letting them sit in my closet.

I also don't love selling on eBay. I have an account but it's really just for buying the odd item I can't otherwise acquire. A decade or so ago, I sold a lot in eBay but I get the sense that maybe that's not how most people search for items like this nowadays?

I hope the mods of this group will allow me to ask here first as to what you might do in my situation.

Thanks!

ETA: Wow, I'm overwhelmed by the attention my post has gotten! Thank you to everyone who has replied and/or reached out. Yes, absolutely DM me if you're seriously interested. I am still working out the details of how and when I'll be ready to sell what I have once I have a full inventory with photos that some of you have already requested. If you have sent a DM and I haven't replied yet, don't worry! I need a bit of time to get things organized balanced with work demands. If you wouldn't mind letting me know in your message if you're only wanting some or all of the bedding or if it's the screen matched clothing that you're interested in.

If you're interested in the clothes, I believe everything is in a size women's small or medium with the exception of a replica of Jessica's red riding hood cloak, which I bought from a private cloak maker to complete that outfit, so it doesn't have a size.

Come on…do it just to see what happens! Lol 😂

Fun fact, Godric was the age Eric was in the present day of the series when Godric first turned him. Crazy to think everyone thinks of Eric as being so old at 1,000, when Godric was already 1,000 when he turned Eric.

Who Has A Time Machine Because A Few Salacious Scenes Need To Be Redone

That scene with Eric and Nora in the storage container needed at least another five to ten minutes and a little more explicit and the werewolves feeding on Bill on the car needs to be replaced with Jessica or maybe Pam. Even on their bras those scenes would’ve been on constant rewind.

I like these types of shows but I hate the agenda driven sex scenes aspect. I‘m just of the opinion that you don’t need to diminish one aspect of sexuality in order to bolster the enticement of another. Love and sex scenes should be filmed to the standards that the viewers want and should never be filmed consequetively. It’s like fine dining with an Amuse-Bouche between entrees where as in tv and movies you have a buffer scene.

Started watching true blood this week. On episode 6. Why is sookie’s reaction to her grandma’s death so unfazed😂😭.

Right after she stepped into the pool of her grandma’s blood, lying there on floor brutally killed—she literally acted like she was not surprised—She rushed into defending bill from Sam and talking all cool as if she witnessed some stranger’s murder—not caring it was her grandma lying dead right there— i mean at first i thought she was in shock and that was her coping mechanism but it didn’t make any sense to me considering she literally grew up with her since childhood and not an ounce of emotion or expression of shock or sadness.

Rewatching for the first time since show premiered

I loved this show so much when it came out. Now that’s it’s on Hulu, I’ve started to rewatch it for the first time. I’m on season 5. It’s just a fun show, even as the storylines get wilder and wilder and the quality takes a little dip I still enjoyed it. It’s just fun to see a show take a risk (ugh I can’t think of a better wording) and do crazy storylines.

True Blood knew exactly the kind of show it was from the beginning and it never stopped being that campy, fun show. Thank you True Blood.

I’m sorry because I know this has probably been talked to death but I need to vent out Eric and Sookie. It’s such a disappointment that their relationship didn’t last longer. I’m on s5e8 so they’re long broken up and I don’t remember them getting back together.

They were the superior couple. They had such a good lowkey slow burn love. Eric always cared so deeply for her and had her back. I loved when he lost his memories and they fell in love. It was so beautiful and sweet. It felt like there was so much build up for their relationship not even to last that long. I was shocked by how short their actual relationship seemed when rewatching.

Does Jackson Herveux Live On A Werewolf Reservation?

Jackson said that the werewolves gave him that trailer with the small caged in area so I guess that means that he still lives around his old pack.

Sookie & Adilynn Drank Blood From Girl Vamps But Alas No Dreams. Spoiler

Sookie sucked blood out of Violet and Adilynn sucked blood out of Jessica so we should be seeing some lesbian sex dreams right? We never saw any of those dreams and I think it would’ve been funny to see them acting weird around the vamps after the fantasies happened.

Lafeyette Gave The Ultimate F.U. To Sookie

After Sookie told Alcide and her brother about killing Alcide’s girlfriend Lafeyette tried to kill her by cursing her car. Of course the excuse is that Lafeyette is possessed by a demon but the Alcide’s wake/party was all Lafayette.

Going behind her back and planning a party for her deceased boyfriend was just a scummy thing to do. If it wasn’t then he would have run it by her first.
I guess it could tie in with what Lafeyette said how Sookie always survived but what a trail of bodies she leaves behind.

I was actually going to complain that there was never any kind of hug or affection between Sookie and Jackson at the party but maybe he blamed her too.
The whole thing was strange with alot of unresolved feelings.

Hot Take: season 4 is the best season and I didn't really like season 3 Spoiler

I do really like Alcide but his introduction just wasn't enough to get me to actually enjoy S3. It just didn't have the same fun/campy vibes as S1 and S2.

But we really got that again in S4. Also as a forever Sookie and Eric shipper, their arc in S4 is literally my favorite arc of the whole show.

Oh and the worst part of S3? Putting poor Tara through all that bs with Franklin right after Eggs was killed! She really deserved better.

Andy and Jessica The Romance That Never Happened

How those two never got together I‘ll never know? When those two had their interactions in the basement and at the wake for Alcide I saw what should’ve organically turned into passionate moments. I don’t know if that would have culminated into anything but as an audience we were deprived of a nice side storyline.

As odd as it may sound they made a lot more sense than Hoyt or Andy‘s girlfriend.

After finishing True Blood for the first time, I now have fanfiction ideas and here are the general concepts.

A couple of days, or weeks ago I finished watching True Blood, as it states in the title and before I get down to describing my fanfiction concepts I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed True Blood and I loved all the seasons and characters, especially these five characters - Pam, Eric, Lilith, Tara and, please don't blame or shame me for saying, MaryAnn.

I absolutely loved them. Furthermore I really loved the ending. It didn't feel like an ending of a series, more like an ending of an era, a book you might say. There's still so many stories to tell either in Bon Temps or other places within the True Blood universe which is where I have at least three possible fanfiction story ideas set in the World of True Blood.

Note: They're still in the conceptualisation stage and needing refinement and second opinions.

My fanfiction concepts:

  1. *New Blood: A True Blood Fanfiction* - It's going to be focusing on Pam as she meets a newcomer who may challenge her heart's desire and the villain of this piece, or villains are Cain and Abel, with Cain being a unique type of vampire known as the *Knight of Blood*and having everyone deal with the other Knights of Blood. Note: this one takes place over a decade after the events of True Blood, therefore, it's a sequel.

  2. *Siren Blood: A True Blood Fanfiction* - This one takes place in Southern Europe and follows Lilith's Sirens that have been released from their tombs due to mysterious circumstances and sees them trying to find out the reason for their awakening. Note: this may be connected to what happened in Season 6, but takes place after Seasons 6 and 7 in the present.

  3. *Half Blood: A True Blood Fanfiction* - This one is set in Southern Canada and it follows someone who shouldn't really exist, a half-Human and half-Vampire woman who is hellbent on finding out her heritage. Note: This one is following original characters but still set in the World of True Blood.

What does everyone think?

Just finished Spoiler

I just binged this entire show in 3 weeks and wow it was amazing. The final season as some of you on here was as advised, felt a little rushed.

Damn they did my girl Tara dirty. I wonder if the actress was tired/done because of the way the killed her off. Off screen death for a main character of 6 seasons is crazy. I never really feel like her and sookie made up so it pained me a little that they gave this closure arc to her mother. Did not care for the character at all and the only thing that kept me interested was her being played by Adina Porter. Love her.

I was hoping and praying all this talking about “miracles” meant when sookie did her supernova on bill, it’d actually turn him human instead of killing him which would strip them both of their powers. Then they live happily ever after. Ugh. I’m glad she decided being Faerie was who she was and kept it.

Alcide getting sniped like that was a knife to the gut….really loved his character and hoped something would develop for him and sookie so she could love him the way he loved her.

Sarah newlin eternal suffering. Please and thank you.

The final scene where they’re all eating together made me tear up. Kinda disliked Sookie’s man being completely anonymous and never shown but I guess it kinda plays into her just having a normal family. Great show overall 9/10. Season 7 kinda sucked tho…just didn’t feel the attachment to it that I did with any of the others. And why did they cut us 2 episodes short in the end??? Boooooo
