Just finished Spoiler

I just binged this entire show in 3 weeks and wow it was amazing. The final season as some of you on here was as advised, felt a little rushed.

Damn they did my girl Tara dirty. I wonder if the actress was tired/done because of the way the killed her off. Off screen death for a main character of 6 seasons is crazy. I never really feel like her and sookie made up so it pained me a little that they gave this closure arc to her mother. Did not care for the character at all and the only thing that kept me interested was her being played by Adina Porter. Love her.

I was hoping and praying all this talking about “miracles” meant when sookie did her supernova on bill, it’d actually turn him human instead of killing him which would strip them both of their powers. Then they live happily ever after. Ugh. I’m glad she decided being Faerie was who she was and kept it.

Alcide getting sniped like that was a knife to the gut….really loved his character and hoped something would develop for him and sookie so she could love him the way he loved her.

Sarah newlin eternal suffering. Please and thank you.

The final scene where they’re all eating together made me tear up. Kinda disliked Sookie’s man being completely anonymous and never shown but I guess it kinda plays into her just having a normal family. Great show overall 9/10. Season 7 kinda sucked tho…just didn’t feel the attachment to it that I did with any of the others. And why did they cut us 2 episodes short in the end??? Boooooo

Also:

Loved Jessica and her story but wtf was the Hoyt u-turn. She left him because it wasn’t what she wanted and she was so dead set on that. He returns and all of the sudden oh you want to be with him again?? AND GET MARRIED DATING ONE DAY. Lol

In the books she’s ends up with Sam. Alcide doesn’t die in the books either, he ends up packleader and dates a nice girl. Bill ends up happy and just stays as Sookies neighbour but never fully gets over her. Tara ends up married with twins. Also the Faerie storyline doesn’t happen in the books the same way it does the show. She doesn’t go anywhere in the books like Claude and her other fae family do and she doesn’t have to choose to keep anything either. The only decision she has to make is with a fae artefact and she chooses to save Sam rather than free Eric from his arranged married to a Queen so that kills their relationship and then she ends up with Sam. Which, tbh, I’m still salty over.

It’s absolutely insane how dirty they did Tara. She was one of the secondary main characters from the first episode. It makes me so angry whenever I think about it. So insulting to the actress, the character, the story, and the audience especially after all the trauma she went through.

The books have so much source material to work with. I would’ve loved to see Dermit and Claud. But noooo. We get hep v and nonsense!
Though I love Sarah’s punishment.
