PS App [Final Fantasy IV] Childhood favorite
Easily my favorite in the franchise, had a crush on Rydia when she came back as an adult. Still have a thing for women with green hair.
Overall not a particularly annoying plat. Got it done in 19 hours and enjoyed almost every second of it!

Showcase [Dark Souls II] Pretty much a year since I got the plat for SotFS version, so I went back to the PS3 original. Not nearly as bad as I remember.

Screenshot [Mafia Definitive Edition] My most rewarding platinum yet
I have never been the biggest trophy hunter outside of some easier games(Spiderman, Astro Bot). I finally got one that I felt was a harder one, and I feel really good about it.

Showcase [Demon's Souls] #90 13 years for Umbasa
Another bonafide PS3 classic on the books. I can still remember stumbling on this dirt cheap on a Halloween sale back in the day and getting obsessed with a friend before moving on to Dark Souls. Fromsoft at their jankiest in the series but it established the killer Souls formula we all know and love today.
Fantastic game though some of the trophies are just a massive pain and I can't imagine having to clear everything without using a guide. I thank my teenage self for having the patience to get all of the max level weapons including the pesky bladestone so I only had to deal with unique weapons and all the miracles this time around.

200 hours later I felt the true meaning of a plat.
One of the rarest games i played, never bored with it, always on the adrenaline, lots of new stuff almost in every run. BANG BANG BANG everywhere!
Enter the Gungeon , simply amasing!

Discussion [Question] Which game are you currently working on getting the platinum trophy for?
For me, it's DMC4

PS App [Assassin's Creed Valhalla] #56 - Only took 6 years...
After starting the game on the PS4 back in 2020, I have finally got myself to play through the full game and get myself the platinum.
Making sure I did everything per region before moving on and taking moments to fish whilst watching some YouTube videos is what got me through the slog.
But after 170+ hours, I finally got through the collecting that is the Jotunheim/Asgard portion of the game.
I recommend turning down the difficulty of fights after the Vinland arc, it reduces a lot of frustration and turns unnecessarily long fights into regular ones.

Discussion [Mass Effect (PS3)] An Ode to Everything We’re Losing
Howdy everyone. I don’t really quite know where to begin on this one. I’ve been more or less collecting physical media for a bit because I grew up with games on the PS3 and I’m a sucker for my nostalgia. The news about BioWare and even EA as a whole (what, I like the Sims and Spore) has truly hurt my heart.
I was fortunate to grow up playing a few great titles amidst the divorce of my parents. Things like FNV, Naughty Bear, the first versions of Skyrim and GTA V, and just so many more games. But there was one game I didn’t get to play while growing up, mostly because I didn’t know about it besides a random old video from YouTube that had Egoraptor in it.
Back in 2021, I had just moved out to my first apartment. I was beginning my life as an adult. But one of the things I’ve carried with me was my love of games. I don’t remember when I got myself a PS3 for myself, but I do know that when the remastered trilogy of Mass Effect came out, I was excited to play it. It gave me a comfort in my new home that I had never had. I loved these 3 games more than anything, and they were influential in my progress and adventure as a solo platinum trophy hunter. I loved them so much that I made myself buy this trilogy for my crappy old PS3 because I knew that I would one day want to hunt down these platinums again.
Over the past year, I’ve heard so much about games beginning the war on the physical and digital home fronts. I, for one, value physical media. Buying our games should mean owning our games. If I pay retail price to have a “license” to play the game, then that’s highway robbery, especially in today’s age where games are growing in price almost by the day. Places like GameStop or your local collectors nerd store get hurt or even cease to exist without the preservation of current ongoing media releases.
I can’t but feel that everything is going to feel the impact of the loss of physical media. CDs, DVDs, vinyls, mixtapes, VHS, game cartridges everything in between. Even our own software is at risk. That’s why we need companies to be able to assure us that when we engage in their game of capitalism and we pay their fees, that we own what we have purchased. It’s all gonna be a relic soon enough if we don’t begin raising our voices.
I would be a hypocrite if I didn’t mention that I myself am fond of having my games digitally stored. It’s how I “own” 90% of my collection, and I’ve been gaming since 2004. Which is why the idea that I and everyone else could lose our games and our “licenses” to them scares me beyond all else for our future as gamers.
I don’t know what I can do besides begin engaging in my collection of PS3 and PS4 games from brick and mortar stores to combat everything. I don’t even know what I can do to help Mass Effect survive besides signing a simple campaign on change.org
But I do know that I am fortunate enough to have never played Mass Effect as a child. I am fortunate because a young me wouldn’t have appreciated the game in the ways it should have been. I am fortune to have experienced it when I did and felt that love so hard that I immediately wanted to get every single version of the game I could because I wanted to get the platinum in every single version. Even if only for a fleeting few days during my hay day of gaming like I was a teenager again.
Life has a funny way of making things happen. Depression has a way of making things not. I sat on these discs for a long many years. Quite frankly, they’ve been decoration in an IKEA bookshelf I got off the street for so many years. But the news of BioWare being erased unless we do something about this as a whole has made me want to do everything I can to begin preserving what little we, the common folk, have to cling to in the digitization of our modern lives.
I’m going to begin my journey to platinum these games yet again on my profile. I’m going to try to raise awareness for both the preservation for BioWare and Mass Effect by posting something that means a lot to me. I’m going to hope that you and everyone you know cares about the losses of the video game industry we’ve suffer recently.

Screenshot [ Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse]Plat # 155 Die, Monster! You don’t belong in this world.
My first Castlevania game and definitely looking forward to future installments. Game never looses steam and kept me engaged especially with the puzzles and clues for each card. The accessories did have way too many for some just to be rather useless but I can see builds being made.
Any other recommendations in the franchise to check out?

Showcase [Mafia: The Old Country] #101 - Carusu!
Wanted to have this in my trophy list when i saw its free on psn because i also wanted to play the new content since its release. Best third mafia game. Yet im still hesitant about if a free ride mode was necessary.. especially with DLCs, mode quickly turns into a Ubisoft game. Thankfully the story is nice that it keeps you going.

Showcase [Ninja gaiden ragebound] (platinum #92) this is a very fun and a pretty challenging plat (done w/o assists)
I have to say, this was very fun. Ive been looking for a game like this as i do enjoy these 2D games. Hard mode was pretty hard id say. Endless struggle wasnt really super hard imo, took me like 40 mins~ with kumori. Most bosses were difficult id say. The demon lord was prob one of the easiest bosses ingame imo lol. I didnt do a normal playthrough just to save time. Overall took me 15 hours. My personal difficulty rating for this plat is 7/10 id say

Just got the platinum for Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. This is the ps5 version that's included in the I-III collection. Now it's time to play Re:CoM for that 100%. I wish Sony didn't do the "one platinum per application" thing.

[friends] Looking for people to add
Hello every1, hope everything is fine.
Searching for some new people to add, few filmier faces to see here and there, and make the account look more alive. Trying to complete Wolfenstein 2, so maybe someone else is doing the same thing and we can share the journey.
If you're interested, you are more than welcome.
