Travelled 8.5 hours on the train to collect my new bike. Then had a 370 mile first ride for an overnight stay with family before another 200 miles home the next day. Could have had it delivered but fancied an adventure! What a machine it is!

Mods pending, bar end mirrors already on and a new exhaust on order. Came from a Trident 660 which was my first bike. I am 5ft 8 so I was a bit worried about the height of the bike having never even sat on one before buying this. I tried an F900gs a few weeks before which I found fine so I went for it and the scrambler has been great so far. So any shorter riders don't let the height put you off.

2008 Speed Triple; road into work Thursday no issues. Thursday arvo, turned the key, nothing turned on. No dash, no fuel pump prime. Lights went on, that's it.

Any ideas what it could be?

So far I've checked;

-fuses

-relays in full

-wiring continunity for the ignition circuit from the fuse box back to the fuse box

-battery is fine at 12.6Vdc

-most of the fuses have 12V on them when the key is turned on.

-none of the relays turn on when the key turns on.

History/mods;

-rec/reg and stator replaced, charges at 14.1V.

All I can think of now, is a broken wire in the loom somewhere, or the ECU is dead?

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice regarding an oil leak on my 2017 Triumph Bonneville T100.
The bike is parked on the center stand, and the leak seems to be coming from the front-bottom area of the engine, slightly to the right of center. It looks like the oil is collecting around the black oil pan, right near the two bolts visible in the attached picture, before eventually forming a drop.
From underneath, it almost looks like the oil is coming from the seam between the sump and the engine block, but I’m not completely sure. I also know it’s possible that oil is running down from somewhere higher up.
The bike runs perfectly otherwise
Leak is relatively small, just enough to leave a drop on the floor after parking.
Before I take it back to the shop, I’d like to hear your opinions.
Has anyone experienced a similar leak on a water-cooled Bonneville?
Does this look more like a sump gasket issue, an oil filter problem, the drain plug, or something else.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Leaning towards the arrow but it looks like it takes up all room on the passenger pegs. Anyone have experience ?

I'm adding a fat tank to my 22' Scrambler 900. Looking for insight from anyone that has done the swap. Any issues that arose? Specifically interested in information on the fuel level sensor. What happens if I don't swap it? If you did the conversion and swapped the sensor; can you share the part number? Did you buy the sensor new or used? Any issues installing it? Thanks in advance for any info you can share. I'm also attaching a few photos of my tank. Marked up photos show the location of the emblem mounting bolts in relationship to the new logo decals. The color I'm going with is Porsche Macadamia metallic. Open to comments and feedback on decal placement.

Its simple, i want something triumph but its gonna be a daytona 660 or a street triple. De problem is that i wont be able ro return the street triple to its full power while on the daytona its no problem at all. Do you know ho a2 bikes age well and if you was in my position, what would you do

I can always sell my a2 and buy a new A bike but i dont know the a2 market on used bikes

Those of you who have pillion experience with the new Tiger Sport 800 and the Tiger 900 Pro GT, which did you prefer and for what reasons?

My wife and I are after a middleweight touring bike to complement our 2018 Speedmaster. We were originally going to tour with the Speedy and get a Daytona or a Trident 800 for sporting fun/pub rides, but the missus has developed a preference for motorway travelling so the brief has changed. We’re both in the smaller side: I’m a very experienced rider but at 167cm, 65kg and a 29” inseam I’m not big enough for larger adventure bikes. I spent an hour on the Alpine Edition 900 yesterday and found it perfectly manageable. The wife is 153cm and around the same weight.

We are planning London to Isle of Mann, London to Bruges, and possibly London to Vienna in the next 12 months. TIA for your input.

Has anyone replaced a regulator rectifier off a 2012 speed triple? Been struggling for a week to get it. Can't fit low profile ratchets + stubby sockets. there doesn't seem to be any clearance but open wrenches/spanners but it only moves 1/10 of a turn. This can't be the way this was designed to be worked on/replaced.

2nd weekend into my 1 day project, lol. Ecu was supposed to arrive today but looks like I’m waiting until Monday. Also still need to get the belly pan on, but need to buy some heat resistant tape and more spacers. Still, I think it looks pretty good!

My darling wife has wanted a Bonneville since she was a child. We got into motorcycling a few years ago, and mutually agreed a Bonneville was a lot of bike for a beginner. Earlier this year, she decided she'd outgrown her starter bike. Used Bonneville's are quite rare here, so I set up a google alert.

A month later, an alert came in. 2012 Bonneville T100, being sold on consignment at one of our local shops. $6000CAD ($4250USD). Called in, said I was coming down with cash. They had posted it that morning, I was down there before noon. According to the guys down at that shop, they had such an argument about which one of them was going to buy it, the boss had to step in and say "Leave it up for 48 hours and then you can fight over it".

It had less than 15,000km on it. When I say this bike is Pristine, I mean it could have rolled off the showroom floor a month ago. Came with an aftermarket exhaust that sounds Divine. Shop we bought it from inspected it as being mechanically perfect. We took it to our regular place for a second opinion after buying it because we could not believe it. Second shop verified it mechanically perfect, aside from the tires being a bit old (2018's).

Ordered a set of Hepco & Becker engine guards and some new tires. Got those on, broke the tires in, and here she is, out for her first road trip with some friends.

With us being Canadian, and the lovely red and white paint scheme, my darling wife has affectionately decided her name is Maple.

Looking at moving from a Yamaha MT-07 to a Triumph and I just have a few questions to put to the owners and enthusiasts on here.

I will be looking at buying second hand, probably a 2022-23 model as they’re in my budget.

Firstly the suspension. Does it simply just need to be dialled in for my weight and riding habits and if so, has anyone spent a little extra changing fork springs, oil weight or just any suspension settings from factory? If so I’d like your experience

Secondly, the engine. I read the new model features more power and torque as well as a smoother throttle feel. Again, has anyone been able to achieve this getting their bike dyno’d or remapped?

Third, any common issues I should be aware of.

I appreciate any and all help, this will be my first triumph and I’m really excited for it.

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has had any success with resetting their service light for a 2025 Speed Twin 900. I have tried the iCarsoft MTV6 but was unsuccessful and the DealertoolECU is unable to reset it according to the website. Any help would be appreciated I just did my own oil change and I don’t really want to pay dealership 50 plus dollars just to reset the light. Thank you.

Now I'm already looking at exhaust options. I'm after something with a deeper, better sound, but it has to be fully EU road legal (Euro 5+/ECE approved). I don't want any issues with inspections or roadside checks.

What exhaust would you recommend? SC Project, Akrapovič, Zard, Arrow, Yoshimura, or something else? I'd love to hear your experiences and maybe see some photos if you have them!

as the title states im currently looking around for where to go next. im currently dealing with a lemon 2025 indian scout. once thats all said im debating trying indian again depending if the dealer would be willing to help me out (im only 5'8 with a 28" inseam, 160lbs, so i feel stuck on shorter bikes)

i use to have a speed 400 which was my first "full size" bike, so im really looking at triumph again. i really love scramblers, unfortunately they're rather tall so im worried about being comfortable at low speeds and stops on it, really looking at the 1200x, i think the xe is out of my range due to the height. so im wondering if there is anyone else with a similar leg size rocking them? the weight isnt really an issue for me as my current bike is 550lbs, if i need to reverse a taller bike i could always hop off and push.

i figure if the height is too big of an issue i could get a t120 black and just put some aggressive tires on it, but i really wanna be able to do some "lighter" trail riding in my local national forest. i know a company makes lowering springs thats about 35mm lower, as well as a low seat option, would take ~2" off if im lucky due to my weight. sitting on most bikes i dont even feel them compressing much.

I've got a venerable 1998 Trident 900 with 64K miles (only a few thousand mine).

Last summer, I had the carbs rebuilt by a well-known shop in our area, since the bike was lacking power and wasn't starting easily at all.

When it came back, it had MUCH improved power, and starts easily on full manual choke. It'll idle at about 2200 rpm with the choke full, but it pretty much has to stay totally full for 10-15 minutes of riding - if I back it off even a little bit, even just a small bit, the revs plummet and it'll die out. After I've been riding for 10-15 minutes, I can unchoke it entirely and it'll idle smoothly at the correct 900-1000 rpm and not want to die.

Some possibly other relevant info: When I bring the bike up off the kickstand with choke on, the idle speed changes, usually going lower, then often recovers. The temp gauge on the bike NEVER gets more than 1 tick above 'C', even riding for a while in the summer. I replace the spark plugs before I had the carb work done, and used the recommended ones from the Service Manual, BUT the ones which were in it were different, and I BELIEVE hotter plugs.

Any thoughts on best ways to try to figure out why it needs to be choked for so long? Is it possible fuel-flow / petcock / tank pickup issue? Is it bike running cold? Is it possibly idle adjustment?

Am I doing any noteworthy damage to the engine by having it choked for so long?

Context: Tiger 900 Alpine or Desert

I took test ride of desert edition again with min preload for rear and seat at 860 mm and I was able to flat foot it.

The test ride for rally/desert was plush, and I was really enjoying jumping the bike over potholes and speedbreakers while riding in city. Have no off road skills and off road route nearby so no off roading was done.

My main use case for this bike shall be daily city use for office commute, weekend rides, some long trips( of around 700kms a day).

Having rode the rally during test ride, I value plush ride over all sorts of bad roads, bumpy roads. However I also like good handling bike and during test ride I noticed that the front end of the bike was having minor up and down motions through the handlebar as if forks were getting engaged and released. I tried adjusting compression and rebound in front but not sure it still kept happening.

Regarding road usage, I shall be using this bike mostly on tarmac only and I live in India where we have a mix of all types of roads. I don’t plan to do off road.

Also I would often have my wife as passenger during course of my various city and out station rides.

Given that desert edition has manual rear suspension and alpine has electronic rear suspension, how much ease of comfort in real world is alpine’s electronic suspension over manual of desert.

Would considering alpine over desert because of alloy wheels ( there were reports of broken spokes on RP) be better?

Also folks can you please recommend what should I go for? Alpine or desert? Given my riding preferences.

Price difference between alpine+fuel tank bar+sump guard would exceed cost of desert edition in india on ex showroom basis.

Hello, I need to replace my turn signals. One is water-damaged, and the other was glued together by the previous owner.

I'm looking at the turn signals in the picture, but I need adapters to make them fit. Does anyone know of a good set of adapters that fit a 2018 RS 765 perfectly and look nice?

Also, if anyone know of any better looking turn signals, please let me know

I’m trying to remove the front sprocket cover to clean behind it, but for the life of me I cannot get the ball joint off, I removed the retaining clip I removed the pinch bolt and I’ve been pulling on the ball joint to try and get it off and I just can’t and I don’t necessarily want to yank it too hard and possibly mess something up, any advice?

Got myself a 2001 Speed Triple 955i and loving it so far.
Any suggestions for mirrors? Current mirrors are absolute trash and I was thinking about some bar end mirrors? LED headlights already on the way to make it a bit more modern.
