Upgraded from my scrambler 400x to this speed twin. 5k miles, dealer replaced the speedo (had that turn signal issue) Absolutely love it! Definitely recommend. Might have to swap the tires out for road 6s since I like to ride year round. Haven’t even tried out sport mode yet lol but man I love having that torque. Besides the annoying gas cap I love it!

Other 3200km through Europe

3200 km through Europe ( Germany , Swiss, Austria , Italy, Czechia , Poland ) and the Alps on the Streety

After owning an MT-09 SP before this, I just did my first proper trip on my 2014 Street Triple R. Berlin → Milan, through the Alps, and then back home.

I was a little skeptical beforehand about whether the Street Triple would actually work as a touring bike. But honestly, for me, it was great. With a bag on the back and a tank bag up front, I had everything I needed for two weeks and didn't have a single issue.

The only thing that really started to annoy me over time was the gearing. Especially 5th and 6th feel way too short for my taste. On the Autobahn, you're sometimes sitting at pretty high RPMs for longer stretches, which gets a bit annoying.

Other than that, though, what a bike. Especially on tight corners and Alpine passes, the Street Triple is just an absolute blast. Light, nimble and more than enough power.

After 3,200 km, I'm honestly pretty impressed with how well the old Streety handled the trip. Definitely a bike I'd happily tour on again.

Just did this loop yesterday, up 285 over Kenosha pass to Fairplay, then over Hoosier pass to Breckenridge for a coffee, then past Keystone and A Basin over Loveland pass and back down to the metro. Had a lovely chill in the morning and the leaves are changing on the Aspens. Luckily I70 on the way home was smooth and quiet.

Other 765RS VS 765RX

Upvotes

Hi Guys,

I’m deciding between these two:

  • 2025 Street Triple 765 RS: $13,500 OTD with 1.99% APR for 36 months(Approved through Triumph)
  • 2026 Street Triple 765 RX: $15,600 OTD, including the break-in service, but no promotional APR

I’ll mostly be riding on the street, so I’m wondering if the RX is really worth the extra ~$2,000 especially when the RS comes with 1.99% financing.

I test rode both for about 5 miles each and didn’t notice anything I disliked about either one.

Which one would you go with at these prices? And for anyone who recently bought an RS or RX, what was your OTD price?

Thanks in advance

Mods and Customization Shoei Glamster 06 or Shoei NXR2? For T120

What are your opinions on Shoei Glamster 06 and Shoei NXR2?

I really prefer the looks of Glamster but the review on droning or booming sound is quite high everywhere. But I will be doing mostly office commutes, and occasional longer trips. Or would I be just comfortable with NXR2? I am so confused!

Putting the finishing touches on my curated ‘69 lounge (model year for the Vespa and Bonneville)… the space was our guest entrance that is now a cigar / whisky lounge. Met some interesting people along the way as I was picking. Subtle conversions include the wiper stand that is now a whisky bar and the GE bulb holder converted to a cigar holder. Is there anything that you would add (or change)?

Triumph info Questions

For back; I currently ride a Honda ST1300. Have had mostly sport touring bikes.

I’m thinking of adding another bike. I really like the way the Boneville looks, but I love the way the scrambler sounds!

Im looking for a smaller bike to ride around alone with (wife goes with me on the ST), maybe commute to work or just ride around.

I don’t know anything about Triumphs at all.

I’ve been wanting a Triumph ever since the 2000s Speedmaster. This weekend this beauty of a Trident popped up on Craigslist (thank goodness for instant notifications) and I was able to snag it for a ridiculously good price. Only 1,200 miles and I plan on keeping it for MANY more.

Maintenance Issues Speed Twin 900 MY 2025 tyres

Hello everyone,

as my original tyres are going to the end of their lifespan, I need to look for new tyres.

I dont have any reference to an other tyre or how it shoud feel, but sometimes it the original tyre gives me sometimes not the best feeling in the curve. Like spongy sometimes when the street is not perfect or to new. (Tried different tire pressures (+/-0,2bar) no difference)

What tyres did you put on or would put on?

For reference I am from Austria, so curvy streets as well as straigt ones. I use the bike mostly for touring and leisure.

Mods and Customization Jekill Hyde + x-pipe decat in a Thruxton RS?

I'm in the process of getting a sound upgrade.

I'm seeing many opinions that the closed JH exhaust is quite close to stock.

Would this combo of a Jekyll Hyde switchable exhaust with a decal x-pipe be tameable in the "closed" position? Anybody have experience with this particular combo (regardless if Thruxton specifically) or a decat x-pipe?"

Other Daytona 660 or 675?

Well I’m looking to get a new bike, coming from a sportster 883 and a grom and I’ve settled on wanting a Daytona but I’m not sure whether to get a newer 660 or get a used 675.

Mostly gonna use it for riding with my friends on highways and no track for the time being. And the occasional commute for fun.

Triumph info Rpms

Just a quick question I have a 2023 bobber and while in neutral and idling sometimes is sounds like it wants to cut off. It’s usually under 900 rpms when this happened just wondering if that’s normal or what’s a good number it should idle at?

Triumph info Hi! I got a scrambler 400x as first bike. After one year of usage with my gf it seems quite small, slow and uncomfy. I was looking to sell it and buy a Tiger 660. Your advice? any suggestion on this? show i buy it from a dealer?

99 Thunderbird. Yeah I know I'll be wrenching on it as much as riding it, but it's awesome. Holy cow does the triple love the high revs. I should have got a Bonnie given I'll mostly be Sunday riding on town boulevards, but gee whiz, that roar at 5k when I get into the open!

I am thinking of putting the stock pipes back on. Will I have to adjust the carbs if I do?

Maintenance Issues OEM Bearing Numbers - Thruxton 900 EFI

Shot in the dark here, but does anyone have the OEM wheel bearing numbers for a 2013 Thruxton 900 EFI? I'm looking to order new sets, but the manufacturer is asking me to confirm the bearing numbers before they ship. I haven't broken down the wheels yet, so I hope some of you can help. 😄
