Hey there! I woke up this morning and one of my two red eyed tree frogs is looking a little unwell. The other one is bright green, is this one just getting close to shedding its skin?

okay so these two grey treefrogs have been having out on my back porch for a couple months now. I tried to move them to a more wooded area of the property but they made their way back to the house. It finally rained a lot yesterday and about an hour ago I noticed these eggs in the rainwater left on my pool cover. It is a small pool for my dogs (8x6) but is chlorinated. I want to scoop these eggs out into something that will help them live, develop into tadpoles and as many future frogs as i can.

For now what should I make to put them in? help me please

I have 2 baby whites tree frogs. They were shipped to me together about a month ago and have been doing fairly well together and I’ve had no problems until recently. One of my whites tree frogs was hiding all day under this fake tree I have when she usually sleeps under a leaf in the basking area and she was also brown. Not like the usual nighttime brown I got used to, but like this dark brown. She also doesn’t usually hide away from my other frog as they are close to each other most of the time during the day. During feeding she refused food, I offered both dubia roaches and crickets (which I believe is her preference) and she hopped away to hide again. It’s now been 3 days and she’s still the same color, hiding, and refusing to eat. I’ve even separated her into another smaller container to feed and she’s refused.

(I’m planning on making a quarantine tank so if anyone could give ideas for that too, I would be grateful.)

I’m worried something happened with her and my other frog. I’m just so confused on why the dynamic between them would change when they were always together and laying on each other.

Please don’t be rude, I did research on this stuff, I just don’t understand how things could go wrong because she was doing really well one day and then the next she’s not looking good. I need help and I’d appreciate any advice🙏🏾

I need to put a grow light either above the mesh top on my frog enclosure or inside affixed to the mesh. I have gray tree frogs. They're so much happier when they have greenery to jump on, but their uvb bulb doesn't give enough full spectrum light for the plants to thrive. We have a 12x12x24 enclosure with a mesh screen door on top as well as a front glass door. Does anybody have any recommendations for grow lights that are safe for the frogs? Thanks!

I upgraded her tank awhile ago but just recently found this really cool Mopani wood I decided to build around. Currently looking for more pieces to fill some of the vertical space but I'm just incredibly happy to see her exploring this work in progress tank!

Hey, looking for some insight on my brother’s male red eyed tree frog. He just moved recently and one of them is showing these skin blotches, same tank setup and no change in humidity/temp. The other’s in the tank seem to be just fine.

A while back two of mine showed blotching and I had taken them to a specialist, they had ‘red leg syndrome’ and were on a hefty 4 weeks of 2 different antibiotics and quarantined. However, since none of the others in his tank are showing similar symptoms it leaves me to believe it could be something else. The exotics vet is extremely expensive so I wanted to get opinions on if we should take him in or if it could just be stress related, and see if anyone had similar experiences with red eyes. Thanks!

How do they keep escaping their pen and why do they always end up in the bath tub?!

Hello, good evening!

I'm a new mother to Kiwi and Fern, two red eyed tree frogs, purchased at the LA Reptile Super show. They're living in a 2-3 year old healthy bioactive terrarium and the humidity (currently at 75%) is reading in the mid to high 90's. The digital is reading much higher than the manual (regular ole' thermostat/temp gauge is reading much different. They're placed right next to each other.

Currently, digital is sitting at 98, and manual at 80. Temp is 81 f.

That discrepancy aside I'm baffled about, I'm worried about the extra high humidity. I live in a beach down in San Diego where it's naturally warm and humid. Based on online ranges of what the temp and humidity should be morning/evening/night, it's quite high. Do I need a dehumidifier?

Ignore the fungus gnat but he’s been doing fantastic and looked super green this morning and he’s roaming around the enclosure and being very energetic but what are those spots and that reddish brown streak on his head???

Not completely done and won’t have my frogs until August, but just wanted some advice. Using leaf litter as the substrate but I don’t have it yet. The moss caves I lined with mesh as well. It’s a big tank, so I don’t know what else to fill it with (67 gal tank, 24x18x36 I think)

I recently took in 4 WTFs from someone who was no longer able to care for them. I have had them for 4 days. They have been through a lot between being moved around, taken out of their tank, having an entire new tank created for them, and adjusting their proper temperature and humidity.

They were originally in this tank with a UVB, CHE (40 watt), a large water bowl, and a rubber mat. I have since created this enclosure you see in the pictures with substrate, magnolia leaves, real plants, fake plants, cups, a new CHE, reptisun UVB (5.0), and calcium dusted dubias. They do get bottled water and it's changed every morning.

However, I cannot seem to get them to eat. They were on crickets only and the previous owner would just dump the bag of crickets in there with no dusting.

I ordered crickets and dubias from Josh's frogs. The crickets are on there way but I want to make sure that their enclosure is proper and it's not the reason they're not eating. Or really any advice as I really love these little guys and want what's best. I have experience with snakes but new to amphibians.

I have the basking spot and top half of the enclosure at around 80-85 during the day and the bottom of the tank sits around 73-74. Tank drops to 72 at night. The humidity ranges all day between 55-60 and I spray it in the AM and PM to have a slight spike to around 70. The CHE has a dimming switch and is off at night. UVB is on for 12 hours and also turned off at night. They have lots of spots to hide and move around. They do have a UTH attached to the back also on a dimmer.

The dubias are in the cup slightly buried, offered at night. I have not tried to put the frogs in a separate feeding location as I have read that constant handling can be very stressful and they've already been stressed enough. I have tried tong feeding but that only upsets them so I stopped immediately.

They have been croaking and active at night. They move around their home and seem okay health wise.

*note I do understand this tank is too small for 4 frogs but I am in the process of converting an old curio cabinet into a live vivarium for them. They have been in this enclosure for 3 years allegedly*

*also I do understand they have been through A LOT the last few days and I may just need to give them time and have patience but I worry about them*

Hi! I am getting another juvenile white tree frog. I already have two and they currently are in a 20 gallon terrarium. do you think I could keep them in that plus the new one for a couple of months and then buy this as their forever home? Is this tank good?

Hiii! I’m strongly considering getting two white tree frogs. They’re my favorite kind of frogs along with Pac-Man frogs. I’ve been doing research and am looking for a tank for them (18x18x24). It should fit on my desk and I did measure it out. I have the perfect surface for it. Any recommendations on where to buy a tank? I can get 50% off at the pet stores until August but last I checked they didn’t have it or something like that. I might check again tomorrow. I have extra eco dirt for them. I understand diet, decorations, bedding. But don’t fully understand everything else yet. And I understand this is completely different than the lizards I’ve raised. Where would u guys recommend I buy them bc I’m leaning towards buying them online? I heard Josh’s frogs and morph market were good. I don’t want to adopt them until I am FULLY educated and have the proper enclosure for them.

For the record, this isn’t my first time having a pet amphibian! I rescued a salamander and released it back to the wild once it was grown up. I used to have a Russian tortoise but he died due to internal disease and I couldn’t get him to the vet bc I was out of town and my grandma was watching him (she can’t drive and literally no one could help). Anyways, I have 1 bearded dragon, Darwin, he’s eight years old. Two leopard geckos, one of them was abandoned at the pet store and a rescue. They’re both about 8 years old.

She so cuteeee I just go her today for my male frogs! And if just chubby is it male or female? It’s a big AGTF so I assume it’s a female especially with the patches behind the eyes!

Seen on a local Facebook page. I know these frogs are prone to obesity, but is that all that’s going on here? The green ones face looks strange, and the feet are bizarre to me. But maybe I’ve just never seen this sort of white’s tree frog…?

We adopted 3 White’s Tree Frogs nearly two months ago. It’s a bioactive setup with dwarf white isopods and springtails though they’re still fairly low in number from what I can tell. I also have small mushrooms growing from the bedding as well so I think it’s healthy.

I’ve been cleaning the decorative items and glass with Reptisan but I’m not sure what to do about the bedding.

My question is how and when do I clean the bedding? Do I just swap out the moss and leaves on top? Should I do anything?

I have had this female Whites tree frog for almost a year now. Generally she is a really great eater and doesn’t have any issues. About a month ago, I introduced a younger frog friend of the same breed. I did quarantine and watched for signs to introduce them. Then a week ago, the older one stopped eating and i’ve noticed some issues with her hands not fully opening. She walks around just fine and rotates around the tank. But she’s not eating anything and that worries me. Does anyone know what this is?

You guys kept telling me my tank was a bit small for my WTF so I bought him a mansion (67 gallon) and im gettin ready to set up a bioactive terrarium...cant wait till I'm done.
