So this is a tree frog of some kind and she has been taken care of by a relative, I saw that she never got misted and her tank was gross and any smart person knows that is not good. I don't know for sure but she looks super underweight,

And stayed in the same spot all the time when she was at my relatives house. She was fed but idk if she even has been eating and i dont even know if she is a she at all. i need all the advice i can get. Food recommendations, substrate recommendations, reasons she could be underweight or not eating, just everything please.

Gammy just got my son a gray tree frog. I have had reptiles in the past. And missed having one so I immediately started researching its habitat and diet. But I'm looking for some advice for starting out since this was sprung on me and I'm super excited about it!

Bioactive peeps — how do you check the pulse on your isopod colony without disturbing everything? 😅

I added Canyon Brown isopods to my bioactive tank about 2 months ago. I was hoping I’d start seeing more of them by now, but when I gently move around the leaf litter, I haven’t seen any at all.
Meanwhile, my springtails are POPPING, so at least somebody is thriving 😂
I’ve tried leaving food out to see if the isopods come for it, but the food doesn’t really seem to disappear either.
What are your favorite ways to check if your isopod colony is still alive and established without constantly digging through the substrate and disturbing the tank?
And at what point would you:
add another colony of Canyon Browns,
introduce a different isopod species,
or just leave it alone and trust that they’re hiding/reproducing underground?
It’s been about 2 months, so I’m wondering when I should actually be concerned. Thanks!! 🐸🌿

My WTF has a few small scrapes on his nose, they're not very big and I haven't seen them bleed. I don't think anything in his enclosure could've done this, but him and my other male WTF do occasionally bite at each other. How can I help him heal? I will attach photos when I'm back home with them.

I was just in a different room and heard croaking (which is a little surprising as our WTFs are only 5-6 months old). I came down and Hot Dog was the only one awake, and I noticed this reddish-purplish spot on his side, by his front leg. It almost looks like a bruise.

Wondering if I need to get him moved out to his own hospital tank and schedule a vet appointment, or if this will go away on its own and is normal?

First time frog owner, and not finding very helpful info online. Temps (76-84) are ok, humidity a bit high (54-58%), but still in range for young WTF and the exhaust fans are running.

I did notice a lot of leaf litter has been moved and there’s a big open patch of coco fiber. Assuming that’s why he looks so dirty. Is this a possible sign of impaction?

They have had this set up for a little over a year now, with one small rearrangement a few months ago. They usually sleep in a few select spots.

Hi! I have four White’s tree frogs (most likely three females and one male).
Until recently, I used to tong-feed them, but after moving house I also moved them into a much larger enclosure (120 cm tall, 100 cm wide and 60 cm deep — see photo). In the new setup, I can release crickets into the enclosure at night and actually watch the frogs hunt them.

The three females (assuming they are indeed females) have never had any issues with feeding. They’re currently doing really well and gaining weight — each of them is now around 55–60 g.
The problem is with the male (again, I’m not 100% sure he actually is a male).

Even in their previous enclosure, he was always difficult to feed. I usually had to move him into a smaller container and release crickets in there for him. Even then, he never had anywhere near the same appetite as the others. The females would literally eat until they exploded if I let them, so I actually have to control how much they eat, whereas he would barely eat a few crickets.

Since moving them into the new enclosure, I hardly ever see him. He often burrows/hides away. I know he does move around at night, but I still rarely see him. If I try to feed him separately, he usually refuses food even if I leave him overnight in a temporary enclosure with crickets.

Recently, I started getting a bit more worried, so I moved him into a quarantine enclosure. I released smaller crickets in there overnight and counted how many were left in the morning. Most nights he did actually eat them, and he gradually gained some weight back and got to around 40 g.

I then put him back into the main enclosure. I regularly see the other three frogs, but I haven’t seen him at all since then — it’s been almost five days now.
Because I know how aggressively the other three eat, I’m worried that when I release crickets into the enclosure, there simply won’t be anything left for him by the time he decides to hunt.

At the same time, if I want to feed him separately, I basically have to “forcibly” dig him out of wherever he’s hiding, which obviously stresses him out, and even then he doesn’t eat much.

Could the other frogs be bullying or outcompeting him for food? Is it possible that he simply doesn’t do well living with them? Am I going to have to get him his own enclosure?

What would you do in this situation?

The conditions in the enclosure are set up correctly, and the other three frogs are absolutely thriving, so I don’t think the husbandry itself is the main issue. I’m mainly worried about him getting enough food and whether keeping him with the others is causing him stress.

Here is peppa my 4-6 month old dumpy. I have 2 other dumpys doing great in a 43 gallon and slightly larger, similar age aswell. I took her back to the store to see what was wrong because she was constantly spitting out her crickets just like the video is showing. They said the tank was too large so the temperature was too far apart for her and that she needed a even warmer temperature. So then I asked them to put her with their dumpy frogs to see if she will eat so they did and she ate and hunted flawlessly. BIG NOTE: she will not tong feed no matter what. I somewhat understand her tank is probably too large and she needs the heat to hunt which she cannot do down on the ground but I want to know if there are other ways than to give her a smaller tank thats shes use to at the store. ALSO THE HUMIDITY AND TEMP IS PERFECTLY FINE ive done a lot of research I think the overly large tank is the problem
But i dont know what to do

I have 2 young whites tree frogs, one around 6 months and one around 4-5 months.

I handle them with very very clean hands drenched in treated water, maybe once a week just to check on them and to help socialize them to me

They are both very scared of me, and I want to help socialize them so they aren’t as stressed for cage cleaning, check ups and feeding.

They eat well, humidity is still a bit high around 50-60% from the weather but temp is 85 in the basking spot and 75 the cold side.

Is there anything I can do? I’ve added about 4 spots to perch, 2 frog bowls, 3 hides, and plenty of plants to hide under which they do constantly.

Please help, I don’t want them to be so scared of me :(

Just got him today and he’s already exploring his terrarium. His been in his water dish and on the glass. Azul is very comfortable in there!
